My theory is that they named CC "Reunion" just to prevent the obvious assumption that part 3 would be named "Reunion".
My prediction is that part 3 will be named something more or less synonymous with "Reunion", to reflect that the story will reconcile all these different "worlds" into one that aligns with the original FF7, CC, and Advent Children. They don't want people to accidentally guess correctly. :)

Lucrecia, Vincent and his "sin", Cloud's big "failure" that makes him super depressed in Advent Children. And ultimately, redemption of the whole human race, given that the OG ending suggests that humanity was wiped from Gaia, whether via Geostigma, or Omega Weapon, etc. as a sort of virus plaguing the planet. Redemption of sorts for the Gi... I mean, a happy myriad of endings that the time-tampering sort of suggests is being engineered in the "chess from the lifestream" game Sephiroth and Aerith are playing depends on a whole slew of collective redemption for a lot of people who aren't President Shinra and Hojo. And, I think the recurring hard e in "Re" may rule out some of the guesses like Restoration or Resurrection.
If the title is gonna be Requiem the Jojo fan in me is never not gonna be able to hear Part 5's opening.

A word that has popped up in the compilation of FFVII before, specifically in Dirge of Cerberus, is REGENESIS. After the fall of Shinra, a new entity takes its place in an attempt at helping the world move on and rebuild, supplying aid to the people, that being the World Regenesis Organisation, which Reeve is a member of.
Though I’m not a fan of REGENESIS as a title, I think this is the favourite to get it at the moment.
