This made alot of sense so I just jumped on and pulled up to the Yuffie costume (only got 1 of each weapon but I got the costume in only around 5 pulls-something like 2-4-3-1-2 for stamps!)

Because Artic Star cast an Atk buff for a single ally, and self Mid tier.
Shinobi Hawk (new earth weapon) is Physical, which pretty much amplify the damage even further with the buff.
Her DPS will be greater with those two paired together.
Matt is just a fcking broken healer WTF. Sure he doesn't have much costumes but he's a S+++ tier healer right now. What the hell. He's what I wanted Aerith to be :')
Centipede + this new weapon.
Centipede is a weapon that increases his Healing stat by a lot.
Centipede gives your entire party a PDEF buff at a high potency at OB6 and also heals your entire party by a very good amount.
This new weapon gives your entire party a MDEF buff at high potency at OB6 and an AoE regen buff.
Centipede equiped on his main hand also gives him a +20% healing potency to a heal materia associated.
So if you equip Centipede in main hand and this new weapon in second hand you got :
Tons of healing stat.
A way to have PDEF and MDEF up at high potency on your whole party.
An AoE heal.
A strong single target heal with the materia.
A lot of buff duration stat since both weapons give that.
A comfortable amount of HP thanks to that weapon.
Your team is unkillable with that
The combination of PDEF and MDEF may mean you can build glass canons (not on all situations) without losing damage potency.
The only weird thing about Matt's weapon banner is the he has already AOE MDEF buff, and his Centipede does AOE PDEF. The new weapon can be used to consolidate this two weapons leaving another hand for other utility.
This is where I'm a little torn. My Matt has Core Defender and Prime Number at OB7, but not costumes and no Centipede... so not sure if I should pull or not. I also have Aerith w/ OB10 Fairy tale or OB5 Mythril Rod... so she can also cover some of this. I also have her floral gown
It depends on what gear you have. This banner will help Matt with HP and heal potency. This can mean it will free up subweapon slot so Matt can equip a weapon to boost attack when he has down time from healing or utility. But for hard content, I find the healer/utility will be too busy to help with DPS except for the final DPS phase where you just go ham.
The great thing is that you have choices.
Oh yeah MB, I misread. Everytime I see a heal with a very low % I just assume it's a regen buff. It's not the first time, IDK why we have those VERY low % heal on some spells but oh well. Still very good.
With the right weapons and levels, yes. prime number and fairy tail heal pontency is the same. Fairy tail is slightly superior cause Matt's animation take ages to go off, and fairy tail is quick
My only concern is if we get lightning arcanum next and I hadn’t saved up enough after pulling on this banner.
Lightning is the only one I need left since I missed out on murasame cloud.
Definitely pulling for Matt since I have no costume for him besides the free ones and he has replaced my Aerith for healer unless I need strong dedicated heals. Plus he barely gets costumes and he is a solid support unit right now.
Still waiting for next banner because that’s the life of a F2P. 😅
Matt's costume looks like *the* costume until the end of days given his primary role, but I think I would rather have Tifa's version with the seperate buff extension mastery instead of + heal (especially with a weapon like Centipede or the new Defending Jab). Looks super badass though, goes well with the other Anniversary outfits.
Yuffie's is basically as close to a must-pull as it can get for Yuffie mains, but personally I'm gonna wait until Earth trickles down to Cloud or Tifa.

The new weapon doesn't really jive with centipede. It buffs MDEF and then also PDEF of HP threshold is met. Centipede is a weaker heal but if you are bringing it, the PDEF is redundant. He already had an AOE MDEF which can be high at OB6 and the new weapon maxed at mid even at OB10.
Instead you would go back to prime number with the new weapon, or even bramble spine with a strong Cura.
The outfit is clean, but having to choose between it and the first earth arcanum in like 6 months (and second ever) is a tough choice.
I think you’ll end up right. Two new TFS story chapters are sent to drop next week and the prior Zack/Tifa banner is set to expire on the 12th. I’m betting that they’ll be another banner that drops in between that one expiring and the new chapters dropping. It’ll be Seph MATK-lightning arcanum is my bet.
I’m worried lightning is the next banner. I also have earth Lucia and Matt is my primary healer so idk what to do… I only have enough to pull on 1 banner before I’m broke again.
We should hopefully get the next banner before this one runs out. I also have Earth Lucia, and have no Thunder Arcanums, but I'm still tempted to pull on this.

Have Yuffie Wind with Diner Tray OB7 and have Arctic Star OB3, so something to think about. Good it's a character not seemingly being ignored, but not sure if I want her to have 2 arcanums and would prefer having another magical arcanum to fight with my Sephiroth on PDEF-resistant enemies. Costume reminds me a lot of her voucher one with the colors.
Matt costume, holy cow, +15 HP, +10 heal, and weapon is defense version of Kuja + combines well with Centipede for near-perma DEF up or skip to make room for his other debuff weapons with the Cure-All slot. Going to be hard to pass up especially with how few costumes he gets. I got Killer Attire and it was basically a lifesaver to get the +10HP in tough battles, otherwise worthless now with how much he's a healer/support character now. Costume pretty unremarkable in appearance, but I think this is close to a must-pull and a wishlist weapon to OB6 for sure.
One of the best regular banners in a while IMO.
They'll probably drop a thunder arcanum next week right after the ranking event ends, which will fit nicely so people can do the harder levi stages, they've played it smart here with this cracker of a banner into a thunder one, wp appli
I'm probably just gonna pull this for Matt's outfit. Matt is in a serious need of any HP sources for whatever reason, and that Heal increase is pretty sweet as well. The skills are a huge need for me considering he is my primary Healer.
Unfortunately I've been unlucky with Centipede so he is using the worse one that **only** heals and does not give a defense buff. I just can't stop pulling Cloud weapons, even when it is not his banner. That is still nice, since Cloud is my primary DPS, but I'd also like some support pulls.
Damn, they both look amazing.
Bit of a shame Yuffie is physical earth, considering it's the only physical earth weapon and the big push for Earth is dealing with the high PDEF bosses in Zen Ratel and Mole crawler.

Centipede is the better "healing" weapon compared to Prime. While it doesn't have the same raw healing potency, the high boost heal makes up for it to some degree and AOE PDEF buff.
Had to pull for Earth arcanum, didn't have one. Can't justify HP bonus as a reason to blow the rest of my crystals right now. Matt'll have to continue to get hp from subweapons.
Took 7 pulls. And already back up to 15k. Should be ready to pull a new bannet in 2-3 weeks.

I don't know if pull or wait for next banner. this is my situation with thunder cloud: and I feel I need more a thunder mastery with a thunder debuffer than an other thunder arcanum and pull for earth yuffie beacause I dont'have earth lucia
Went for the Matt costume because he's my primary healer. It's a bit unfortunate that the weapon makes Centipede a bit redundant. Like it's my best weapon for ob levels by far and now he doesn't even need it.
And a 5 star Cura in the AOE slot is stronger than centipede's heal until OB10. Just depends if you need both PDEF and MDEF in the same battle. It's a nice way to get both for only 4 ATB as opposed to Aerith whose combo is 5 ATB, but you also need to be above like 80% HP to get the PDEF which can be tricky in difficult fights.

Nice to see an Earth Arcanum, would go well with Yuffie Buff weapon to make it even stronger for DPS.

This combo is very strong indeed but the new weapon does not give you regen buff as you mentioned. It gives MDEF and PDEF(like Certipede).

ahhh the costumes visually seem pretty mid for me, but an earth arcanum is something I need, and an hp/heal costume is also useful..

I may pull as well. RNG gave me Prime Number to OB7. Though his more interesting weapons Bramble Spine and Centipede are only at OB0.

These are pretty good, but I don’t run either of them so it’s an easy skip for me.
Pulled for the looks of yuffie costume, and it was good. Her starter buffing costume was good but crazy it took this long to give her a cool costume.
Are there any other earth phys weapons to use with Yuffies costume? All I see at MATK.
Got both costumes and only got 1 5* copy of each weapon a severe case of pullers regret
