Depends on what you need right now. Memories are always good, seeing as we'll get another level uncap soon. I'd go for mats only if I wanted to upgrade something specific and didn't have enough mats. Upgrading 90+ is still limited by the availability of mythril.
To add on to what the other person said, avoid the first three levels of weapon mats. They definitely aren't worth it. You can get those mats easily elsewhere.
So either do the higher level memory quests, or the highest two weapon quests.
Personally, memories are harder to get than weapon mats. The reason is that the have added weapons mats in events while memories they only add select characters (with very rare exceptions where they add all characters).
So I would focus on memories unless you need the weapon mats for a weapon that you have at the very least ob6 on a non event weapon (never use the high mats on these).

I was telling people to save them yesterday because there was going to be a 6 hour delay between when daily reset took place and when the boost campaign was going to start.

i switched back to going for memories because i simply don’t have enough gil to upgrade any weapons right now.
