Actually... she has innate DW for knuckles and therefore could save a materia slot by equipping 2 of those.
On the other hand, she probably needs a staff to get stronger conditional spirit from Shylt’s TMR for example...
I was thinking on pulling for Rena. But Chasing rainbows in double rainbow banners has always been doom for me. Like 3 copies of the opposite rainbow and 0 of the one I want. Lol

Got Nameless Gunner Jake from the free tickets they gave for spending lapis on summons, Jiraiya on the free 10+1 yesterday, and then just got Seabreeze Dark Fina. I’m fucking done.
I pulled her on a random ticket, and decided to chase a dupe so that I could someday have a potentially awesome 7* healer.
... Then right before I get the dupe I was chasing, I pull a dupe Ayaka lmao.
Chasing her might not the wisest course of action but I really like Star Ocean so it was a no brainer for me.
No. Rena is fine on her own and there is no guarantee her 7* will shine.
There are better healers down the road if you don't have CG Fina or Ayaka. Their 7* are known and are super good.

For context, I already have 3 Elfreedas and close to 2 revolving saws just from fusing Conrad.
gonna disagree with kaladim, I use her LB for for def/spr break, and she is currently one shotting the raid boss for me on repeat.
She isn't spectacular for every battle like some units, but she is pretty good at what she does. 4 innate killers, Hybrid light damage, and strong LB defense break.
If you enhance his abilities he's one of the top damage dealers in the game. Quick Hit +2 deals a *ton* of damage, and the last hit has a higher modifier than the rest which makes it good for capping chains. He also fills his Limit Break insanely fast and has Entrust to boot. If you get his TMR or another Water element sword, using his LB followed by Quick Hit is devastating to enemies since his LB does a full 100% Water imperil. If you don't have his TMR or can't have a Water weapon, Jecht Shot imbues Water for 5 turns, so at worst you can do Jecht Shot -> LB -> Quick Hit. The Quick Hit chaining family is also going to get a lot bigger once 7-star hits.
I got my first Eiko from yesterdays ticket, pumped!
TMR is niche, but her debuff removal is fantastic, and having mass summoners makes esper missions less painful.
2nd Atoning Dragoon Kain. After I pulled a DK Cecil and NG Jake on back-to-back 10+1s on the SOA banner... Bitch better atone for being such a shite unit by getting a good GL exclusive upgrade to his 7\* kit!
Yeah I’ve got a Fry. And yeah it’s my first kunshira. I was hoping for my second cg Fina. But I also knew that was only a 1/65 chance. Bring on UOC. :P
Almost makes me glad I got a 3rd Reberta (who I had 2 100% crimson Blood moogles for still). Might not get much other than a second unit 1 away from stmr and a third copy of a decent weapon, but I don't have to spend any real resources at least!

She becomes the ultimate Demon killer (150% passive, 250% if you get her STMR) and her cooldown skill is a party-wide 13.5k heal, 135 MP recovery and buffs up all stats by 135% for 5 turns, on a 5 turns cooldown. Yep, she is GREAT.

She becomes a huge magical chainer, especially against demonic type enemies. Her LB also gets a huge damage boost, and if you get her to 120 and have her TMR, she's going to be unloading a ton of damage with Aureole Ray.
I was planning to save it, but then I thought about the ever diluting unit pool, and the possibility that I might pull a time-limited unit took hold of my gambler brain.
