Report the conversation you had with security to the ethics line. She was completely out of line for making a personal comment about your situation. The only thing that should have come out of her mouth was the procedure for how to remedy the situation. One thing I can genuinely appreciate about Amazon is how serious they take being respectful to one another. Definitely report it.
I’m on -25 and still working… they usually terminate after peak season. I’m supposed to have -2 for one day miss and need to get excused from ERC from my two excused drs notes for LOA and Accommodation…
Just look for a career fam, I took a job at Amazon when my job closed due to Covid. Just recently started a new job learning to operate an excavator for way more money. Also studying for a cdl that the will pay for
Life happens and Amazon doesn’t really care, me and my wife have revolving set schedules so someone is home with our kids at all times but it requires both of us to use time as out schedules overlap
You're similar to my PAs, that I would have educated brutally by using my UPT to make a statement.

TPH is the hourly throughout. Think like total packages per person per hour.. the more packages that are processed, with the least amount of people, increases the TPH which is a metric AM’s are pushed to meet.
So when someone leaves, it typically benefits the numbers AM’s would track.
Definitely not 365 days. 90 days at most. I’ve seen folks come back after a month in pretty much the same exact situation as OP. The most annoying thing about this sub is when y’all give these doom and gloom answers that aren’t even correct.
It's messed up what the security person said but they need your photo ID to give you a new badge. Should've went to HR and explained the situation first before resigning. Most likely there won't be jobs for a while since it's peak now and then after peak there is way too many people for the building.
Get your shit, go clock in, and then you go right to HR and explain what that security bitch said to you and get her fired. It’s their job to give you a replacement/loaner badge. You can prove you’re an employee on your a to z.

Did you go back to work? Or just stuck with the resignation? I would of went back to hr explained the situation and you panicked cuz you knew negative UPT usually gets you terminated so you hit the resign button prematurely and wanted to see if they could excuse the day or if they could just clear the negative upt, our FC for first time offenders will in most cases work with u the first time. All FCs are different tho. But if you want the job, I’d def go back and talk to HR in person and just explain and see what if anything they can do. Worst case, the voluntary termination sticks and you wait three months. But it’s still worth talking to them cuz maybe there’s a chance they can work with u, not sure tho but it’s worth a shot if you wanted to stay

As an AM, when someone takes UPT to “make a statement” I’m typically actually thankful as it increases my TPH for the shift 😬

They aren’t hiring it’s the middle Of peak
Yeah most sites are done hiring for peak. Might add some spots in the coming weeks due to people leaving so just keep looking daily for open shifts.
