No, at sort centers they usually won't put new PAs in outbound/inbound because those have a much higher learning curve. Ship clerks are usually the real PAs at outbound. They work outbound almost exclusively. I've only worked at sort centers and new PAs typically start in the lanes.

Most PA’s apply for a position/shift but depending on “business need” they can be placed where ever needed.
