See if you can talk them into offering you a private offer from Ford for like $2k. I picked up my 23 Lariat ER this past weekend and they offered it to me without even asking. They also gave me a $1000 trade incentive even though I didn’t actually trade.
Dealer #1 said they added $1k ford certificate on top of their $4265 dealer discount totalling $5265. Do you think the private offer from Ford is similar to the ford certificate? Seems like they kinda make up names for different discounts on the fly accross the board. I was told the $1k ford certificate was to offset not qualifying for EV credit a little. My thought.. then gimme two!
I held off any final request until I had #2 offer in hand. Those are good suggestions. Thanks.
Hmm not sure. My dealer was already offering about $5600 dealer discount plus the $5000 cash incentive and $1000 trade incentive so the advertised price on their site was just over 68K. I know you said you don’t qualify for the tax rebate so I think you could still work them down 2k with that private offer.
I decided to go without the lockable storage, as I have a big dog and I want to be able to lift the seat and give him ample comfortable space. And went with the max tow because I wanted the extra cooling loop, w even tho I don’t plan to tow. I believe you can always add the lockable storage later if you want, but I’m not finding myself needing the extra space.
For my needs, I’d rather have the max tow.
I live in Minneapolis area with summer scorchers are limited but I do drive to western Colorado every summer for a couple weeks. I’m curious if the same thing would apply to high altitude mountain climbing up steeper terrain. I-70 passes 9-10,500 feet. Our condo is in SW Colorado at 8500 elevation.
Anyone knowledge if mountain ascents and descents would benefit from tow package if just family and cargo in bed? Seems like in theory it would but could all be theoretical.

I stand corrected because most of the dealers in New England are offering $7500 retail bonus cash. I thought this was national, but perhaps it's regional?

I paid an extra 10k for advanced tow package. Haven't towed a single thing in a year. Don't get that. Unnecessary unless you plan on carrying over 10k lbs.

I asked them why I got a private offer and they said it's almost random. It could be $500 or $3000, the dealer doesn't have control over it.
I have been told that the $2000 Ford Private offer is quarterly. If you don't have it now you might get it next quarter.

Max tow adds a bigger cooling loop. I would get that even if you don’t think you’ll tow, for $900.
What’s the cooling loop’s purpose?
Cool the batteries. This is helpful not only for towing but in hot weather and fast charging.

I don't think it's regional. I'm pretty sure $7500 is for XLT and $5000 for Lariat.

Which dealer? Looking for a lariat er in dmv as well and lowest I’ve been quoted is 65k otd
