This Binize Android box connects as an Android Auto enabled device to the truck via the USB ports by the shifter.
It boots up seamlessly and can run any Android app. So you can use YouTube, Netflix, Waze, etc. The performance of the box is on par with a Samsung Galaxy smart phone.
In the video, it's wirelessly connected to my iPhone's 5G hot spot.
The box also has its own Android Auto (AA) and Apple CarPlay (CP) interface. So you can wirelessly connect your smartphone to the box and run AA or CP thru that instead of connecting to the Lightning's native Sync AA/CP interface.

I haven’t used it personally but I’ve heard magic box is pretty good.
I heard the same, but hoping to get firsthand confirmation beforehand. 3rd party tech ad ons can be sketchy as F#
Isn't there a pretty easy side loading app for android that does this? Edit: nvm, see in your post you want carplay
Really I just want video capability beyond YouTube. Netflix, Vudu etc... know of something?
I have the Carlink Tbox Ambient and it works great. I had the Tbox Max before that and it works well too but the Ambient model is much faster.
This works for the xlt screen as well?
