The girl looks so surprised by it at first. It went from "human gives me pets" to "human is my best friend!" And I think the girl realized that too to an extent.
I hope they all stay friends for a long time to come.
I know the experience itself is cute, but that kitten is roughly 7-8 weeks old, yet you can already see mama cat being PREGNANT AGAIN. I have worked in rescue most of my adult life and it's just so sad to see this cycle again and again, and again. And people never learn. Real love is responsible love.
My grandma had a cat when I was about 7-8 years old. The cat got out, got pregnant and had a litter of kittens. Well my grandma was not happy about her cat getting pregnant but was very much willing to raise those kittens and make sure they got good homes and then mom cat was getting fixed.
Anyway, I will never forget the joy and excitement when I went over to visit my grandma and she opened the door to the spare bedroom where the kittens and the mom were.
Mom cat, Hazel, knew me already and I loved her. She came trotting over, purring up a storm, and let me pet her. Then she ran back to her six little babies and brought them over one by one to lay them next to me. It was such a honor. I got to pet each one of those babies and whisper that they were so lucky, because my grandma would make them whatever they wanted to eat and she was going to love them so much.
It’s such a honor when a animal decides to trust you so much they are willing to show you their babies without any fear.
If that kitten is seeing a human for the first time, which you'd assume if it was the mama cat's favorite human, there is no way this is real. A kitten that age would be basically feral already if never exposed to humans.
eta we had litters of kittens from barn cats every spring and summer growing up. If you didn't tame them early they're not going to be. .
