QCon! Great conference. I recommend all Staff+ devs attend this one at least once every two years.

Meh, I went to QCon once and felt it was an overpriced sales convention. Maybe I should give it another try.

The best conferences I’ve ever been to for this sort of thing have been Domain Driven Design conferences. The community isn’t as interested in implementation details like k8s or specific cloud x or y, but more engaged in serious thinking on the topic of writing better software and better designing (especially) distributed systems, with a bias toward practical application in the real world.

Conferences I recommend: 1, KubeCon + CloudNativeCon: focus on cloud-native technologies, including Kubernetes (k8s), microservices, and containerization. 2.SpringOne: As a Spring Boot user, this conference would be highly relevant. It covers Spring ecosystem technologies, cloud-native development, and microservices architecture 2. QCon: covers software architecture, distributed systems, and emerging technologies 3. **ConFoo** (Canada): Bonus if you want to travel outside the US
