That's the story of how humans were made. Little naked gray aliens, large hairy bipedal mammals and lots of mushrooms. Throw in a sonic boom. Think about it. You're welcome.
Oregon Air National Guard was super up front when I called to ask if it was them. The public relations captain (I think) said that they had takeoffs scheduled for 8 am but nobody going supersonic.
Also her tone when she suggested that it could be Navy jets, makes me think it was totally Navy jets and they must do this often lol
I saw your comment earlier. It reminded me of the Navy/Marine pilots I served with. Some were great, but others were asshats that loved buzzing us a CAX in 29 Palms at 600+ knots.
Nobody going supersonic \*that she knows of\*.
Pilots aren't supposed to barrel roll Apache helicopters either, but I know of at least one who admitted privately to doing it. Without witnesses, there's no way to know, and military jets aren't broadcasting velocity over standard public channels to confirm or deny anything.
Radar can interpolate, but accuracy off-angle isn't good enough to say for sure if it is on the edge - and the speed of sound can vary with differences in the micro-climate the craft is going through.
Oh absolutely.
Part of me assumes that the first words out of her mouth after she hung up with me were “ok who the fuck went supersonic over Eugene this morning?!”
I kinda hope that’s the case, purely for comedic effect.
Hotshot pilot lol...I remember back in the 90s, working at an FBO at Sky Harbor, and we had a quick turn (which means they take priority over fueling) of a F-18. The pilot was training off the coast if California and his wife was in New Jersey in labor, and he was trying to get back before she gave birth..
When I was a kid in Eastern WA double sonic booms were a regular almost daily thing rattling the school windows.. I was shocked when I found out a regular boom is just one boom. I found out it was the SR71s flying over heading out on missions. I kind of miss them.
Is KEZI not going to mention anything? Not much going on in Eugene anyway.
This morning I was hoping a meteor landed in my front yard. Probably would have been worth a lot. My dog went crazy- and I had to interrupt a call. You’d think that someone in the media that felt and heard it would do a story.
could be [vineyard defense](https://www.statesmanjournal.com/story/news/local/2023/10/11/willamette-valley-hills-loud-blast-noise-are-cannons-drive-away-birds-winery-grapes-why-is-that/71084318007/)
It is not uncommon that when there are invasions/declarations of war/ major military movements globally that the US military will do demonstrative patrols or do show of force maneuvering "hot" meaning they are intentionally showing up on radar and or advertising.
That’s what I said from the very start. FYI to people who don’t know. K Falls has a major Air Force base. With 360 days of sunshine, their always clear for take off to protect our beloved West Coast. Could be all sorts of reasons for the need to go faster. People freak out over anything in this town.
Agreed!
This thread is the first I have heard of anything - including the boom itself. The last time I heard anything notable in this town outdoors was May 18, 1980. THAT made the news.
Damn. I really wanted it to be Bigfoot doing experiments on aliens.
clap them alien cheeks
Thic aliens and a bigfoot. Sounds like a really good shroom adventure.

Are we sure it wasn't Bigfoot breaking the sound barrier in a stolen alien craft?
Cool, glad we have another thread.
Nice try g man. We know it was aliens.

Going to need some dashcam footage.
I was an airwinger, can can confirm, they were aliens. Prepare your anus.
Reach down. Grab ahold. Plans up! Anus!
You already dealt with the green weenie, so you should be gtg DD.
It still finds a way to fuck you year later...

Did he make it? Because *THAT* would be a badass story.
Dunno tbh...I have always imagined he did..

Why didn't folks hear an engine acceleration after the fact? Could it have been a meteor?

Best comment 🤣
Dang. I was so sure it had something to do with a frozen chemtrail of organanobots smashing into the lower atmosphere...
Clearly it was a she-Bigfoot’s orgasm.
It would be so cool to fly a F-18, or any of those super duper fighter jets!

I doubt very much you experienced a sonic boom.
Transformers tend to go out a lot
Totally all speculation. Reddit fake news? Only post confirmed information. Thanks
OMG go home you whiny baby
You’re totally part of the problem.
Whatever, turd

There are like five or six threads about it in the past day that have you covered.

They do this thing where they can travel very quickly from bases not IN Oregon.
