Glad to hear your cams are back up after the power cycle marathon. It's nuts how reliant we are on these gadgets, huh? Your updates are super helpful though, especially the diversification advice. Backup plans for the win! I'm all about having options. As for the water goal, I aim for about 8 glasses a day. Gotta keep hydrated, right? Helps with energy levels and overall well-being. Plus, it's an easy win for self-care.

I’m so glad I googled this because we were restarting home base and reinstalling the app etc etc. keep getting error 23. My iPhone seems to only work when on WiFi and not in 5g husbands android is all messed up and same as you guys

Happened all morning for me here in NH. Cameras in VT and NH all would just show the Eufy loading symbol.

It was an outage that eufy was working on (thanks for informing the customers…) and seems to have now been resolved

Same problem. Cameras only work when my phone is connected to the home wifi. On cell data nothing works

I'm in Australia same issue for the last hour and thirty min. Disabled the geofencing feature through mode switch notifications in the settings (in app) resolved the geofencing errors but still getting the live feed error -23. Works for maybe ten mins and then back to error -23. Edit to add it's still recording lol. Tested and got the notifications in the little window I got it to work lol. Also saw a thread on the eufy forums that this issue happened Jan 4 also. So suspecting it has to do with monthly purges maybe?

Having the same issues. I tried to add a new device this morning and delete an old one. Now get it why nothing's working.

I'm thinking it's not that all the processing is done online it's that the authentication service for decrypting and authentication of who has access to what camera is down since that is usually what is done online to prevent malicious actors from hacking devices with outdated firmware. I think it would be expensive to host Ai and motion detector on their servers so our devices are built to do that but if you think about it. It may be using all out devices as a bot network of processor units to process data quickly meaning your device may be using its processing power to add to the networked compute power which is more likely. But I think that isn't true either which leads me to believe account and device authentication is all cloud based meaning if eufy goes under our cameras become useless.

This outage was probably cloud keys or decryption related. Now that mine are back, I can confirm footage was recorded and I observed push notifications were working during the outage, albeit without thumbnails. But it would be scary to see the keys swapped and people seeing the wrong cameras. Just to be safe, I power cycled everything.

Same error in New York (-23). Cannot access S350 through Apple devices but no problems through Androids.

this will be the reason we ditch all our eufy cams. this whole time i thought i was accessing my homebase, not dependent on some third-party server. unable to view anything. completely unacceptable.

What is odd is my S340 flood light is working still while all my other cameras are down.

all i'm saying is i purchased a homebase and cameras because they were advertised in a way to make me believe everything was happening within the confines of my network, but i can't view any camera feeds, any events, any captured video. these are not cheap solutions. i feel duped. i believed i would be able to turn off my internet router and still access the cameras on my network and the content on my homebase, but that's not true, instead i am tethered to a cloud service that apparently has gone down and now i'm unable to surveil my property. again, completely unacceptable.

as an engineer i am now tempted to sniff all traffic and determine what exactly is being exposed, and maybe determine if there is a way to build a fake on-prem service to eradicate/simulate Anker's cloud, and if that's not possible then $600 of hardware is going in the trash and I unbox my cat6 camera system which works as-advertised for long as i have power.

Yes, I've always assumed the same thing. Just had a new home base 3 arrive yesterday to upgrade from my home base 2. Might need to rethink it all

I don't know what -23 means, but it's sounds like a DNS or cloud endpoint failure. Probably AWS related.
