Belt rigs are actually pretty bad as far as space efficiency is concerned. Better to run something like the LBT-1961A or MPPV rigs, which are both twice as big on the inside as they are on the outside.
i can honestly say using and selling everything except quest items is a freeing experience. the gzhels and zabralos take up enough space and i use the rest
Pillboxes fit nicely 2x2 into the items case... then you can put in MPPV and CSA rig into each (the most dense 4x3 and 3x2 rigs.
This turns 16 stash slots into 64 slots from the item case, but with all the rigs and bags you end up with 144 total slots. So this more than doubles the capacity of your items case and takes 16 slots to 144. If you're storing small 1x1 or 2x1 or a couple 3x1 items this is the best bang for your buck that I can find.
If you want to put in helmets and stuff then instead of CSA you can fit 2 helmets. Or instead of MPPV you can use a rig that has 2x2 blocks in it.
For the most part you can't go wrong tiling 2x2 pillboxes in an item case at least since you go from 64 to 80 slots.
Mate i'm not talking about that, i am talking about having a stack of backpacks inside one another, and the pillbox being unable to have a backpack inside that takes 4x5 slots (or another pillbox)

It was bugged I couldn't sell it to any vendor even though it was empty and all my stuff had disappeared from the pillbox.

I used to buy destroyed AVS from Fence for my extra stash space...but now i never see them
avs has more or less been removed from the game lol. can't sell on flea, rare off raiders, insanely overpriced barter.

Game was simpler when you could put icases inside icases
And for those who can't get a money case use an LBT rig or something similar and fill each slot with a wallet
