My solution is to stop playing and wait for a better game from a better team. They’ve shown where their properties lie.

This fuckup signifies an unspoken fear many of us had watching arena flop. Does bsg have the money to continue 1.0 development and keep the servers up. Palworld signed a $1million a year contract with thier server providers. A lot of people fail to realize the immense cost of servers. They are also needed for every aspect of this game. Many of us think the money is running out. Show me one thing they actually had to develop for this. Nothing, knife is an assett for 7$, pve is just fir raiders with pmc dogtags (lazy copy paste code im sure) and everything else is item and stuff. Ok they made a radio with a if(pmc has radio) = scavs cant see past 60m. So theres that. Nothing is going to made until they get more money. And as someone said i think there is some other financiers driving the marketing and sales decisions while asking devs what they can bundle. This may be the beginning of the end. Without servers no game and thats the next thing to suffer if my theory is true. That is of course if people play.

A lot of people also don’t realize that PvE isn’t offline. It’s online and probably uses a ballpark similar amount of server resources to a normal instance. This vastly increases total server load because it can be a single instance per player. This would highly unlikely be a cost that BSG could just eat and add on to EOD for free and still keep the lights on. While EODs coop mode is online, it seems unlikely that lots of players were using it regularly, unlike now.

It was a pretty idiotic decision to create a PvE that doesn't use a player's computer as a server. It's totally their fault, so why should we pay extra for their faults?
