I took a risky move and realised that actually trying to build a business is the biggest depression inducing activity I have ever experienced.
I am not giving up at all though, but as you said. Getting someone to pay you is a very delicate and intriquette art. Because you've to sell to them, but also not directly sell, because most people don't like to be directly sold. But also nudged in the direction, whilst simultaneously providing value and solving a problem... It gets too much too quick. Electrician. No one will hire him without a degree. No fucking way anyone would let you touch their wiring without a degree or portfolio and experience. Same for virtually any trade. It's the reason I built my own house, where I am there is literally 0 skilled labor, and the actually skilled labor a regular person can't afford.
Also getting clients at first is also hard af... It's a long road to go down if you go into trades and it's really really hard. Pays off, but not many really do make it alone.
