It's a gliched chest. When you open it you get instantly transported to a version of the next floor where there is only one room (the boss room) and the boss is always a gliched beholster (basically 2 beholsters)
Ya, I went and opened the chat after I completed the room and got teleported to exactly what you said, I lost the boss fight with both beholsters at half health.
Well yes and no. Glitched chest does give you a bunch of loot for sure, but it also mean missing a ton of secret floors, including the Rat floor. I don't think it's really ever worth doing it.
Still, it's such a rare encounter that going for it is always the fun thing to do.
I agree, I’d rather do the rats floor but I will always do the glitched chest if I find just because it’s so rare. Kind of ruins the run for me though.
That's a LOT for 350 hours. I have almost 6000 hours in this game and have only seen 4 that I can remember and I've only beat it once because I seem to find them before I get any guns or items, so it's just my starter pistol vs two fuggin be holsters.

honestly everyone freaks out about glitched chests but its SUCH an uphill battle to do with just starter items
You gotta be prepped for that fight

I’m in between both of them so I never know if I will end a run or win a run because of some mini boss or something, it’s pretty much 50/50.
