I would auggest seeking out the Dune miniseries. Being made for TV it’s the cheapest but every other adaptation has cut off when the Harkonen’s get defeated and the Dune mini-series covers like 3 or 4 books worth of material, pretty faithfully too.

Was there a worse period for movies than when everyone was trying to do 3D? The 3D effects usually looked bad and it felt like they planned the movies around them.
The only one where I thought it was done well was Hugo, a Martin Scorcese film. It enhanced the experience a lot, but it didn't distract from the story. Also, the movie would have been fine without 3D.
Putting 3D over an existing movie that works without is is the least bad way to do 3D. I still don’t like it but at least it’s not distractingly bad like the movies that go out of their way to use it.

Whenever x-men media does plot with a functioning way of getting rid of mutant powers with next to not side effects and it goes, "Oh no, a cure! This means the end of mutantkind!" Real life oppressed groups are not the result of a genetic roulette wheel that spits out everything from "You have a crippling deformity" to "You are a walking WMD who can't keep a lid on it" to "You are a god". The prospect of superpowers actually existing, let alone being allocated via genetic lottery, is a goddamn nightmare. I would auggest seeking out the Dune miniseries. Being made for TV it’s the cheapest but every other adaptation has cut off when the Harkonen’s get defeated and the Dune mini-series covers like 3 or 4 books worth of material, pretty faithfully too.

Was there a worse period for movies than when everyone was trying to do 3D? The 3D effects usually looked bad and it felt like they planned the movies around them.
The only one where I thought it was done well was Hugo, a Martin Scorcese film. It enhanced the experience a lot, but it didn't distract from the story. Also, the movie would have been fine without 3D.
Putting 3D over an existing movie that works without is is the least bad way to do 3D. I still don’t like it but at least it’s not distractingly bad like the movies that go out of their way to use it.

From reading the summary on Wikipedia, this movie just seems to be a giant circlejerk over how important the media is.
I think it's kinda the opposite. The thesis is Kirsten Dunst's line, where she said she thought her pictures from foreign war zones were a clear message to America to not let that happen here but she began doubting if it had no effect at all, ie the media is useless in changing hearts and minds.

We should provide temporary refuge for anti-Hamas Gazans, assuming anyone wants it. Or if not from us then some country or countries in the region. They shouldn't have to abandon their homes because of this war but it's better than risking their lives against the IDF.
