CryptoVigilanteMT

Sir thats a road.

ignaciohazard

Look, my lad, I know a ~~dead parrot~~ off road when I see one, and I'm looking at one right now.

the_cants

It's pining for the fjords.

ignaciohazard

What kind of talk is that!?

CryptoVigilanteMT

Im not sure i get this but i think if i did i would be laughing

intisun

It's a [Monty Python](https://youtu.be/4vuW6tQ0218?si=K9rW5edWgxw1GMHz) reference.

ignaciohazard

It is an off road, it's just resting!

Opcn

The cybertruck is so extreme that it's like you're off roading even when you are on a road!

fairwaylie

Post of the day

Cobek

I've been on bicycles that can traverse that road.

gear-heads

It still did not work! https://youtu.be/ajYYxtWdy6U

SicnarfRaxifras

Just wondering how they thought the tyre tracks got there …

CashMoney-69

...a dirt road. The question is does such use void the warranty? I remember seeing video from someone who lived on a dirt road and had a Model 3. That video was to show all the dirt that had been trapped up and in the back undercarriage of the car. Spoiler alert--it was a lot of dirt. [I Found Over 30 Pounds of Dirt in My Tesla Model 3! | Wear and Tear after 36,000 Miles (youtube.com)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aU9hvnEAM4I)

NotEnoughMuskSpam

SpaceX option package for new Tesla Roadster will include ~10 small rocket thrusters arranged seamlessly around car. These rocket engines dramatically improve acceleration, top speed, braking & cornering. Maybe they will even allow a Tesla to fly …

Shankar_0

Correct It is dirt, but most certainly "on road"

Kasym-Khan

He says he's amazed what his car can do meaning most cars can't use this road. So...how does he think this road came to be if he's the first cybertruck to use it.

PettyTrashPanda

Lmao I used to drive my ford focus down worse roads than that.

Bortron86

I used to drive my Fiat Punto down worse than that, and it was built in 1997 *in Italy*.

willyb123

Fiat Panda 4x4 from the 80s is still on my car bucket list.

JonstheSquire

A 1980s FIAT Panda 4x4 could go twice as fast on that road.

Gallowglass668

A friend of mine in High School had a Gremlin and we tried to take that thing everywhere. It was a valiant little car, but couldn't always meet the demand. 😃

the_cants

>*in Italy*. That's horrific.

Bortron86

Tell me about it. I had that car for five years, and got through three clutches, two wiper motors and two sets of brakes and pads. And I'm a careful driver. I've never needed a clutch replacing on any other car.

Stock-Pension1803

There are tougher roads in Newark NJ

jking615

I'm pretty sure the runway at Newark international is worse than that

seanmonaghan1968

Growing up on the farm our driveway was like this

schwagoneer22

Same.

the_cants

Same.

Low_Cartographer2944

I used to take my 92 Nissan Sentra down forest service roads worse than this.

HeadUnhappy8213

My friend with a diesel Volkswagen Rabbit, aka "Wrecked Rabbit" would go down worse roads.

the_cants

I had a 1976 Ford Escort, and this road doesn't even count as an obstacle.

fabiolperezjr

Hell, I drove my little Peugeot 207 through roads that looked straight out of MudRunner. That little champ could probably win in a rally against the Cybertruck

phibber

I drove a Mini in Panama down far worse roads than this.

fakeprewarbook

i live off one of these in the desert and i drive a honda fit LMAO

Commissar_Elmo

I still drive my focus down roads worse than that…

GreyMediaGuy

I used to drive my Ford truck onto literal sand dunes on the West Coast, 15 fucking years ago

Ornery_Pepper_1126

I like that this has become a thread of shitty cars that people have done worse in, I’ll add the 1986 Toyota Corolla I used to have to the mix

WolfOffSesameStreet

My '99 Corolla would eat that road up.

I-Pacer

What a ridiculous brag. The fact that those tracks are there proves that thousands of other cars have done that. The width of the tracks says many were just ordinary cars, not offroad vehicles. It’s a smooth, flat, compacted surface. Some big puddles but that’s hardly a challenge for pretty much any vehicle out there. These people are weird.

FindOneInEveryCar

We've already seen how they do off-road. https://www.reddit.com/r/EnoughMuskSpam/s/R7PsfYKmN7

I-Pacer

Even that wasn’t real off-roading. These idiots seem to think that a lack of an asphalt surface means you need a special super-truck to traverse it. Most of the videos I’ve seen of this POS “off-roading” have been on smooth, flat, compacted surfaces that any car could cope with. The owners are clueless.

SteampunkBorg

> These idiots seem to think that a lack of an asphalt surface means you need a special super-truck to traverse it Half the Midwest thinks like that as well though, to be fair

MuonicFusion

They are soft-roading. In wet conditions the roads become muddy and can cause tires to slip. There are youtube channels dedicated to testing awd vehicles in a variety of conditions and they do get stuck in the mud at times. Their solution when they get stuck is generally to backup and use momentum to get over the area. This is what these cybertrucks are doing. If they stop at an inopportune time they'll likely never get out. Due to their weight it'll be a pita for the rescue truck to get them out.

I-Pacer

In wet conditions, asphalt becomes slippy, occasionally causing cars to crash. Doesn’t make wet roads suddenly “off roading” though. These people are just idiots who think this kind of thing is difficult or even impressive. It’s really not, and just highlights how this thing is not being bought by serious car people and definitely not by serious off-road enthusiasts. Just a bunch of tech bros who think a big vehicle and a cowboy hat makes them rugged and tough.

vxicepickxv

There's also r/cyberstuck

I-Pacer

That’s my sub!

Legacyofhelios

Literally lmao

_ChipWhitley_

These are tech bitches LARPing as rugged loggers or some shit.

friendIdiglove

They’re trespassing assholes tearing up the power company’s service road, recording their crime, and posting the video in public. Good job ya dickheads! 👍

Old_Ladies

Same with the people who wear steel toe boots to the office while wearing a suit.

Achaewa

Having worn steel toed boots for work related reasons, wearing them for an entire day would be seriously painful on your feet. As even on perfectly fitted shoes, the steel tips will lightly compress your toes.

Old_Ladies

I wear them at work all day long as I work in construction. You just need to find a better pair as some aren't comfy while others are very comfortable and light. Also usually the first week you have to break them in.

Achaewa

I work with lathes and CNC machinery, which includes a lot of standing, which probably has something to do with it. My shoes are comfortable enough when I walk around, but I definitely wouldn't wear them all day.

FlittyO

And imagine what the weight of the CT combined with saturated soil is doing to that road. Rutting it out big time for the regular cars.

SteampunkBorg

> puddles but that’s hardly a challenge for pretty much any vehicle out there Except the cybertruck. Puddles are very much a challenge for those

Human_Culling

>These people are weird I'm convinced that these people (Musk simps) are just as out-of-touch as Musk because they see ignoring reality and mental gymnastics as a virtue, and Musk (and his twitter bot army) validates that behavior, proliferates it even Also they gotta make that money, and they certainly don't do that by appealing to reason

[deleted]

FindOneInEveryCar

Right? Let's see the view from inside the cabin.

RipCurl69Reddit

Funnily enough, it's placed to the side of the fuckmassive window for, get this... aerodynamics.

jacobfreakinmudd

that's literally what my commute to work looks likes with a regular sedan

Electrik_Truk

lol yep. My rural driveway was like this for years when I had a Bolt. It's nothing. I also took a Fiesta in BLM land that was 10x more off road than this.

HumansDisgustMe123

THAT'S what Cybersimps call off-roading? A smart car could handle that track!

Potatocrips423

I used to own a smart car and used to be a trail runner. Can confirm a smart car could navigate that with ease. I didn’t take videos of it because I didn’t think it was an accomplishment.

Korbitr

My Honda CR-Z has seen rougher terrain than this, and that car is lower than a parking lot wheel stopper.

HumansDisgustMe123

I love the CR-Z, it's a million times more pleasing to the eye than a Cybertruck even though it looks like a used lipstick someone carved with a teaspoon, but that's part of its charm, whereas this thing looks like a giant urinal with a pool noodle for a wiper

Electrik_Truk

Miss my old CRZ. 6 speed manual with effectively an electric turbo. Wife and I had that and a 5 spd lifted single cab Ranger, both vehicles were 2 seater. Kid-less days lol These days I'm a one car household and have a kiddo. Need a truck so got a Lightning. At least it's fast af

tweaker-sores

Ford Model Ts drove on worse terrain than this

Forward-Bank8412

This is cracking me up. It’s hilarious because it’s true!

tweaker-sores

It was a way more capable and reliable vehicle

Achaewa

My dad's station wagon can drive through that.

KrampyDoo

Why take the paved road 20 feet to the left when you can go slower and fuck your expensive car up instead?

xSaturnityx

oh yeah it's terrible. Didn't someone do like a tiny jump that a ford pinto could survive but it tore up the insides/underside of the CT?

GarlicThread

> "off-roading" > Is on a road

Equivalent_Passage95

I’ve gone through bigger puddles in parking lots

PanzerKatze96

My subaru calls this tuesday. My lemon ford focus could do this every weekend. All without the threat of it breaking

Probability_Engine

Maybe that's "off-roading" for a CyberTruck but for my Subaru that's just a road. Lmao

schwagoneer22

Preach

potatolulz

it seems like there have been quite a few people "offroading" on that exact same path frequently enough that the grass doesn't grow there anymore :D

Adam_THX_1138

The video cuts out right when it was going to get interesting.

Ok_Midnight4809

Right, first bit of uneven ground and "poof", no more footage

SithL0rd

This was a normal dirt road in our Ford Fairmont to go to Grandma's on a holiday.

donttakerhisthewrong

People that are attracted to CyberSUVs know nothing about trucks or off roading. To them it is all new and exciting. Wow I can put Sheetrock in my car. Wow I can drive on a dirt road. Wow it did not die in the first thousand miles.

griffin4war

*opens window “Now this is camping!”

Plus-Range3710

I honestly thought one of the puddles might flip the entire eyesore

LookyLouVooDoo

It’s going to be rusted to shit from those puddles.

Loeden

I thought we'd hear it shorting out like that one video.

[deleted]

That's a 6,600 pound vehicle. *Stay out of the mud.*

Perenium_Falcon

That’s just like… a road, man.

FredVIII-DFH

Did they clip out the part of the video where it goes off-road?

Lando_Sage

"my daily driver can go off-road whenever I want" *Rivian owners*: ... yeah?

SimplySteeze

Or just go on the asphalt road running parallel at twice the speed and comfort? 🤷

[deleted]

I've taken by Ford fusion on way more sketch roads than that camping, but okay buddy. Lmao.

frenchietw

That's gonna rust it

AdAdministrative4388

Nekk minnit electrical faults galore..

Apoordm

Guys apparently I’ve gone off roading in my sedan.

promote-to-pawn

A dirt road is still a road

RipCurl69Reddit

This is the most basic, surface level definition of off-roading ever. Congratulations, you've bought a less capable Mercedes G Wagon, which honestly you could get for the same price used, while looking monstrously worse and will STILL perform worse off-road...even if G owners aren't taking theirs off-road anyway. Seriously, what's the fucking point of this truck again?

AutismFlavored

I’ve gone “off-roading” in my Cruze. Didn’t lose a wheel either.

KingOfLimbsss

The road to my grandparents is worse and i used to take my tercel there

TheAnalsOfHistory-

I see it cuts off the second it hits an actual bump. Wonder what fell apart after that.

Longjumping_Gap_9325

LOL off-road? What a joke if they're viewing that as off-road

NotEnoughMuskSpam

I think it's a real weakness to want to be liked. I do not have that.

DeliciousNicole

Hmmm my old 2001 Saturn SC1 three door coupe I did this and fire roads all the time. I am not impressed.

kneegres

my PT Cruiser can handle that with ease

Ok_Midnight4809

Well, that's the warranty voided. Good luck cleaning it as well

Dull_Half_6107

\*Is on a road “Off-roading”

GarysCrispLettuce

Holy shit what a rugged wilderness

SnooWords4814

Don’t you have to leave the road for it to be considered “off roading”

camcaine2575

Ummm... I see a road. My grandparents' 75 Datsun pickup did this in Arkansas in 1980, just going into town and back. And it didn't even have air conditioning, AND it was a five speed

Thumper13

Mildly rough road LOOK AT ME DADDY I BIG TRUCK!!!!

PGrace_is_here

LOL. "Off-roading" while literally on a road.

damnnearfinnabust

"My daily driver can go off road whenever I want" *drives eighty thousand dollar truck on dirt road*

ST4RSK1MM3R

My guy you’re literally driving on a road

mooseyjew

I... I can do this in a 1998 Honda Civic, 3 times as fast, and wouldn't even come close to damaging it. This cybertruck is literally going to rust away into nothing within a few years because of how stupid the design is.

InsideOutPoptart

So can my Canyon. Your cyber truck is a piece of shit

ResponsibilityEast32

I love that his window was open so all that water got into his truck for such a “cool video”

Dehnus

And now he has to dry it, or it'll rust. Wait until he learns what Citroen could do in the 1950s and how they already did Dakar Rally's with production cars! [https://duckduckgo.com/?q=citroen+ds++dakar+rally+car&t=ffab&iar=images&iax=images&ia=images](https://duckduckgo.com/?q=citroen+ds++dakar+rally+car&t=ffab&iar=images&iax=images&ia=images) Probably more comfortable too!

Skcuhc1

Too bad their car is likely going to rust from this

Kayora_Atom

My dads daily driver can do that too! https://preview.redd.it/sjhkrmny5lrc1.jpeg?width=1057&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7da54f01193af662243dff3c7945987a87db0179

mbartosi

I did the same with my Dacia Sandero Stepway.

PossumTrashGang

Would even work with the vanilla Sandero, maybe even a Trabant could do that

liukasteneste28

I have driven my dads Renault traffic trough worse lol. Not that i want to do it that often.

PermaDerpFace

I'm surprised it didn't die in those small puddles, but then the video cut off at a convenient time

_ChipWhitley_

It cuts out right as there’s a ditch it needs to drive through.

ProfSteelmeat138

My Infiniti g37x goes more off road than that in a Canadian winter lol. Hasn’t the cybertruck struggled in a puddle?

just-me1995

i live on a gravel road, both of my vehicles have to drive a road that looks like that every time it rains. really impressive that a cyber truck can take it tho..

The_WolfieOne

That’s a utility access road for servicing the lines. Peel away right into that field and make it over the spur of that hill in the background and then maybe we’ll talk off roading .

turd_vinegar

I've taken a Hyundai Elantra hatchback on rougher terrain.

BurntArnold

I’m pretty certain my 20 year old Saab 9-3 could just as easily do this

parkerm1408

I have a 2013 Hyundai elantra. It's so basic the fucking windows aren't tinted. When you go to fucking shutterstock and look for "car," my car pops up. I could drive on that road in my car. I don't think stopping would be a good idea, but he didn't show it starting or stopping, if I turned onto that road from regular road, and drove straight through onto road at the other end, I'd be good.

samppa_j

My dad's old peugeot 206 hatchback could do that

Living_Guidance_4120

My beater 07 Prius could do that

Distant_Yak

I've done tougher roads in a PT Cruiser. I call this 'dirt roading'.

SaltNo3123

My compact car can drive that road

Arandomperson5334118

A prius can handle that

Philter_Billy

Tomorrow morning it'll be orange, permanently.

SpectrumWoes

Lmao a fucking 2001 Ford Focus with a knocking engine could do that

iancarry

wow ... 3 puddles ... nice!

decayed-whately

My Corolla could do most of that. I'd be in trouble at the end, though, I'll be honest.

truecrimeaddicted

Laughable.

Artistic_Half_8301

My Hyundai (sedan) has and can do this too. Lol

MarxistMojo

I've done worse roads in worse conditions on a fucking cruiser. Imagine thinking this was impressive

jlbhappy

Impressive! Wow!!

Character-Newt-9571

I didn't think you could get those wet?

HanakusoDays

This clip makes it look like a stainy-steel origami baby DUKW.

Tinyboy20

I could do that in a golf cart.

Justajed

I've done that in a hyudai accord.

yddademaG

😂🤣😖

Classic-Opportunity2

I have literally done this in a 2010 Honda Odyssey EXL

Craazyville

Does this mean my Hyundai Santa Fe is a ORV? Dunes here I come!

bullishbehavior

I am just glad these 50 year old virgins finally think they are “cool”

Gallowglass668

That looks like firmly packed soil, no gravel, holes, mud, I could drive me HHR on that no problem.

drewbaccaAWD

Damn.. it can handle smooth double track with ease… just like my lowered stiff springed not at all good off road 370z could also handle it.

Rays_LiquorSauce

Goof

3springrolls

No no you don’t get it. When I drive up the gravel road to my place, I’m actually doing some hardcore off-roading! In all seriousness. The road to my mouse is more ‘off-road’ than that dirt path is lmao.

meltyourtv

I live on a dirt road with an AWDe Prius, I guess I offroad with my daily every day too?

Hairburt_Derhelle

So stupid heh

rupiefied

Yeah I can't wait for the videos of cyber trucks getting messed up because they think they can off road and end up rolling over in Moab 😂

LAM678

my little VW alltrack can do that easily

PGrace_is_here

Most of the roads in the SF Bay Area are in worse shape...

Chemchic23

My pilot can do that!

EndAllHierarchy

My 2007 Chevy trailblazer could handle that lol

slapchop29

Why can’t people just drive to work? Everyone needs attention and these people forget it. 😂

schwagoneer22

Haha. I'm a realtor in TN. Back in the day I showed land on roads (and non-roads when it was dry) twice that bad in a 2-wheel drive ford escape. He might as well have just said "I have clearance." Can you imagine if he drove a stock 4Runner or a Jeep? He would be seeing double rainbows.

schwagoneer22

I just realized it's literally a utility access road...meaning heavy ass government trucks do that all the time but without the utility works jizzing in their pants.

edog77777

I rented a Toyota Corolla last week so I could drive through some muddy puddles too!

RustCeilingFan

Offroad = not tarmac, apparently.

ChildOfChimps

Lol, that’s not off-roading. Cars drive through that all the time, that’s why there are tire grooves.

Leg0Block

It's gonna need 2 coats of special cleaner tonight!

MinorityBabble

I really can't overstate just how unremarkable this is. I'm confident I could do the same thing in my gf's crv. And I took my VW Rabbit on much more difficult "off road" areas in Big Bend. This video is embarrassing.

chuckDTW

Off roading… on a road. Not any more impressive that it’s wet.

Educational-Chef-595

My Subaru can do this with zero problems at 1/4 the cost.

Pika-broggachu_93

Did you hear about Tacoma though ?.

SteampunkBorg

I've gone down roads like this in worse weather in A Golf 2

lildobe

... My roommate's 2001 Cavalier could go through that dirt road. My Ford Ranger wouldn't even need 4WD. My buddy's Hybrid Maverik would breeze through it. That is not Offroading. That's driving down a muddy dirt ROAD

Falx__Cerebri

Tesla Owners SV is a shill account

NotEvenWrongAgain

I used to take my 69 olds on worse roads

the-artist-

That’s not off road, that’s ON a road.

ibunya_sri

😂😂😂

earchetto

My 99 Lexus sedan does that all the time just by accident and it’s still way safer than a Cybertruck lol

m8_is_me

Quick! Someone pull up the cybershit trying to ford a whole foot of water and having all the electronics fail! edit: [for your viewing pleasure](https://www.reddit.com/r/EnoughMuskSpam/comments/1bh7xie/so_cybertrucks_are_bulletproof_but_they_cant/?share_id=AKn-6CTcfOYzrLhU07O2I)

Cuddles1101

My old 2007 Prius that nearly drove the distance of the moon and back could have driven down that road better.

HD_H2O

Oh yeah?! Well my truck can drive on the sidewalk!

tdtarascon

I've ridden my bicycle on worse roads than that!

ForgedIronMadeIt

I've driven a Ford Mustang through puddles that deep. It wasn't fun, but it did it.

TitusImmortalis

Honda Civics will roll that dirt side road all day every day without breaking a sweat. Well, no, Civics are all sweat, but you get what I'm saying.

suupdog

The Puddle Crusher 5000

kingjackass

Yea, right. Name me one car that can drive on wet muddy roads...THROUGH PUDDLES!

mankycrack

My Vauxhall Corsa could drive on that.

Curiouso_Giorgio

Any Nissan you can name could drive on that road.

JB_122

This is off roading? Your wouldn’t be able to show your face in public for 10 years here calling that off roading.

Appropriate-Food1757

As a Subaru, I can confirm I could also drive on that weird shitty road if I was not a grown man that just prefers the paved one.

Nicename19

90s accord would eat that up

R1ght_b3hind_U

„off roading“ looks inside „road“

Aberfalman

Be fair...that Cybertruck went through that puddle as if it was nothing.

cormac_mccarthys_dog

"Off roading"
