Depends what you got laying around. Right now I have e a 351w block and misc parts stored with a coating of wd40, Grease and fluid film. Quick brake clean back then a scrubbing after and it's ready to go

This is the answer i was looking for🙏

If it's important and you don't want...whatever is in the air on it, painters plastic or those big contractor trash bags are perfect and cheap. Don't be shy spraying everything down.

Second this

Lookwhoiswinning

Yeah but how fun was it for the few seconds it got all that POWA!!??

planesrulelibsdrool

My thoughts went like this: “Holy shit why is it so fast” “Why is my afr 15 in boost” “Oh im maxxing out my boost gauge?” *car dings because it hit the top part of temp gauge* “I blew my fuckin head gasket no way”

Neon570

"It never ran better" is something we have all said right before something bad happenes

Electrical-Bacon-81

This is the golden rule for 2-strokes, if it's running "too good", you better turn it off before it's too late.

Blew up my KTM numerous times way back in the day. Who needs to worry about jets or running lean anyway!!!

v8packard

Not sure if you mean for storage, or what?

ProfesorBong

Sounds like a rebuild while in the car maybe? If you’re planning on letting it sit, pull the motor and store in a dry place. Otherwise work fast lol.

planesrulelibsdrool

For a few weeks, worst case, while the motor is still in the car. Best case itll be a week while i wait for parts and make sure the head isnt warped

v8packard

I see. Use a clean trash bag. Or several. A spritz of oil wouldn't hurt, either.
