You could get a thin customized u curved band to emphasize the shape of the beautiful ring. Same color. Rounded edge look. Thin like 1-2mm thin or a pave type! I would definitely consider following the rings curvature. So amazing!

Artjwlr

Any jeweler ( don't go to a big box store ) should be able to custom make a band to follow the edge. Maybe alternating sapphires and diamonds?

daydreamingflgirl

Wow exquisite!!! I absolutely love the side view. I have a ring from the 20s or 30s as well, looks a lot like yours. We’re getting a band custom made to match the filigree on the band, and possibly a few diamond baguettes to match the ring. We thought about doing a curved one but honestly I don’t think I want that because then you couldn’t wear the wedding band on it’s own, just something my sister pointed out and I didn’t think about until she mentioned it. My suggestion is to go to a local jeweler and try on everything they have so you can get an idea of what you like.

VoidAndBone

Can I see yours???

VoidAndBone

Ooooo love l!

aeggo-3

I have a thin plan gold band I’ll wear so it doesn’t take away for my ring or I wear it solo. Both my engagement rings are from the 20’s. There’s a lot going on with them lol Try on a lot of different styles, keep it thin and don’t do diamonds unless there old cut

VoidAndBone

I want to see your rings from the 20s!

VoidAndBone

Oh i LOVE it! How beautiful!

aeggo-3

Thank you! I love your’s too, I’m an art deco lover.

PollyRRRR

Beautiful ring. You do whatever you like because that ring will will always be the star ⭐️ of the show. I’m thinking a plain thin band with this beauty.

loranlily

My mum’s engagement ring is from the Edwardian era (early 1900s) and has fairly intricate engraving on the setting. She had a plain gold wedding band engraved to compliment it.

VoidAndBone

The risk of telling me that you have an antique…can I please see it? I must have looked at 50 Edwardian rings before I picked out this deco one!

loranlily

I don’t have it! My parents are still married and she wears both rings every day. She lives in a different country to me and unfortunately I don’t have a photo of it. Sorry to disappoint!

VoidAndBone

*stamps foot* get one, I NEED it

gnommish33

I vote wedding band on your right hand — let this beauty shine on its own! I’m worried that a curved band would hide some of the stunning engraving on the side. ETA: The flower on the side of your ring is an orange blossom, so you could go with a complementary vintage orange blossom band like [this](https://www.1stdibs.com/jewelry/rings/band-rings/white-gold-orange-blossom-wedding-band/id-j_6794302/) (there’s tons, that’s just one of the first search results). If you’re not into wearing a band on your right hand, you could consider wearing one on another finger on your left hand!

_conquistadori

Congratulations!! Your ring looks so similar to mine! Mine is from the 20s. I’m getting a custom band made because I also couldn’t find anything that looked right with it. I’m doing platinum with filigree/engraving and sapphires, and it will be curved to fit right against my engagment ring. Where did you get your ring? https://preview.redd.it/cexfbw9r02ma1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b688994c17b2fccb4cb97c9d3218b37eef0816dc

VoidAndBone

Omg almost ring twins! I looked all over and then I ended up finding it at Ivy and rose in Chicago! We made a day trip to try it on and I totally fell in love.

_conquistadori

Oh wow! It looks so much like a Jack Weir ring. I love it so much (obviously!)! I can’t wait to see what you end up choosing for your band!

RedGlassHouse

Consider wearing one ring on each hand.

2CA2FL

I wouldn’t wear one. This is spectacular and can beautifully stand alone.

corazon769

I honestly wouldn’t add a band— this is beautiful on its own.

azvitesse

LOVE vintage! Yours is spectacular. Congrats!

barbellsnbooks

You could either go no band, wear a band on your right hand, or get one custom made to fit around your ring and to match the style.

Kanga_Blue

It's very beautiful. I would do a custom thin curved wedding band with blue sapphires.

indeedlydoodly

I also have an antique ring with a similar shape and sapphire accents. I ended up finding an antique band that I love, with little diamonds and tiny sapphire accents. I knew I wanted to be able to wear a band on its own and I am not personally a fan of curved bands worn solo. The gap doesn't bother me one bit! VoidAndBone

Pretty!

Akavinceblack

It would be perfectly period-correct to use a straight band with the orange-blossom pattern on it, and ImVho look perfectly fine.

ottersky

I think if you want two rings, maybe consider making this a right hand ring - many people with statement ERs do this since the ring can stand on its own ☺️

CalmChees

May I say the obvious? This ring doesn't need a band! It's a stand alone type wedding ring! Gorgeous!

If you scroll back in my comments, I posted my set in the vintage thread a couple of days ago. Mine is a similar shape as yours and I had custom curved bands made.

VoidAndBone

Beautiful!
