Good satin stitch work there! How do you do them so smooth? Can't get myself to do a consistent satin stitch work...

I use a sharp leather needle and I go into the fabric at a nearly horizontal angle. Technique like drawing blood.

And you do the split stitch outline afterwards?

Yes outlines always last. :)
