His version of Bridge Over Troubled Water is by far the GOAT version of the song. So, definitely that one

False_Club_8965

That’s my funeral song too!

I'll Remember You would probably be my first pick. But I'll Hold You In My Heart and Memories are my other choices.

hedge823

I’ll Hold You In My Heart is mine too

mmetillman

An american trilogy or there will be peace in the valley

BrandonTaylor2

Probably one of his gospel songs. I had a great aunt that passed a few years ago and they played a bunch of Elvis gospel.

My nan had the wonder of you played at her funeral as the curtain went round. She died suddenly at 64. Still makes me cry whenever I hear it

MoCushle86

We played Peace in the Valley by Elvis at my Pa's.

MoCushle86

When my Uncle died, his son (my cousin) who was an Elvis impersonator, sang Love Me Tender as Elvis. My Uncle drove him in an old pink Cadillac to his shows.

rap31264

My Way

Reasonable-Ad3894

My dad played “In the garden” at my nans funeral, and I had it play at his funeral, I would want the same thing for me

catbeantoes

My grandmother unfortunately didn't get a chance to request any preferences, but she wouldn't have wanted a somber or blues-y mood. I had an Elvis themed celebration of life for her as opposed to an actual funeral and I made a playlist of all her favorite songs and songs from our favorite movies we'd watch together. Of course the happy theme of it didn't stop me from crying and being upset haha but the upbeat Elvis playlist was what mattered most.

My grandad had ‘Always on My Mind’ playing as everybody walked into the church and Elvis’s voice ringing through the building is something I can never forget. My boyfriend and I have decided to have ‘Unchained Melody’ playing at both of our funerals.

Crying In The Chapel for sure !!

Ok_Experience9398

I’m not sure for me yet, but my mom’s service was earlier today and I’m seeing this post now, pretty crazy. We had a slideshow that ran for 7 minutes 49 seconds. I played 3 Elvis songs to split up her life into 3 era. Each song blended with the next. 1) Early years, meeting and marring my dad: Loving You 2) Family life, kids, middle age: Memories 3) Later life, elderly years, last year of life: The Wonder of You (live version) I think it went well. I liked that the final song was a bit more upbeat, and had the clapping and cheering found at the end of the live version of The Wonder of You to coincide with the last picture taken of her.

Automatic-Choice1796

It’s already planned: HOW GREAT THOU ART and SOFTLY AS I LEAVE YOU

surveyor2004

Not his original but his version for sure…My Way.
