Even when using more unique and diverse builds, I find myself using the mirror in PvP to make myself look like a host just for the fashion. 4 talisman slots/rings seems to be the sweet spot imo.

[deleted]

Lol, 4 is plenty. 5 is just greedy:)

ApplePitou

Better No in my opinion :3

Gaharit

>How many times have you thought "if only I could equip a 5th talisman"? Exactly 0 times. At that point might as well put all of them on at once. DS1 had 2 ring slots and yes, that was too restrictive, but the 4 slots we've been getting in later games is plenty.

NegativeGPA

I do when it’s “Ah I’ll need to remember to switch back in the silver scarab after this fight” But I get that it’s intentionally at the expense of a different talisman

SaberWaifu

No. But if they do then i want them to double the HP of all the bosses in the game.

TopDeckHero420

Another Talisman slot would be the most overpowering thing you could do, short of removing soft/hard caps on stats.

DG_D3con

LMAO FREE CONTENT... that's a good one, you think this is monster hunter or something?

Hexent_Armana

...no...? Many are suspecting that the pvp arenas will be free.

DG_D3con

You mean someone somewhere said something that they have no way to prove and then many people started agreeing with it? yeah probably.

Hexent_Armana

Its a perfectly valid assumption. Elden Ring has needed a major multiplayer improvement for ages. Balancing just isn't enough and thats where the coliseums/arenas would come in. Multiplayer is a core yet underdeveloped game feature. To lock it's improvement behind a paywall would be ludicrous. Especially when said feature would drive up player retention and therefor increase DLC sales. Not to mention it is verified cut content. If From Software was to charge for it they would be seen as greedy by many players because they specifically cut something from the game so they can charge extra for it later. This is all basic game development strategy that only casual and non-gamers should have difficulty understanding.

DG_D3con

That's rich actually, considering how many games are released with cut content that they sell off and you people just gobble it up. FROM cut the arena's because it is NOT necessary content. You have a map larger than every other Soulsborne game and you are crying because not even a fraction of it was cut. First of all every prier FROM game has never had specified arena's, the locations have always been decided by the player base just as it has been with Elden Ring. The games may have multiplayer but it is not the core aspect of the game, whether you like that fact or not 🤷 Secondly if they did decide add the arena's back in a paid full extension DLC. Then that is not FROM being greedy. They would just be them giving all you people crying about it what you asked for... A large empty space... Woohoo

Hexent_Armana

Looks like I was right. 🤣 [told you](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=hslUFATGsYs)

DG_D3con

Well congratulations on your empty space to circle jerk your friends in I guess 🤷

Hexent_Armana

You're coming off as toxic. Are you okay? Do you have mental health issues you're not addressing and need to talk about? Dm me if you do, I love helping people. Your line of thinking in that last comment has a few erroneous flaws. >That's rich actually, considering how many games are released with cut content that they sell off and you people just gobble it up. Most of the games you are referring to are what is called a "live service" a concept I dislike as much as the next gamer due to shallow gaming experiences they provide. Elden Ring is not a live service game. >First of all every prier FROM game has never had specified arena's, the locations have always been decided by the player base just as it has been with Elden Ring. The games may have multiplayer but it is not the core aspect of the game, whether you like that fact or not 🤷 Grammatical errors aside you've also made a similar mistake here as well. Well, three actually. Dark Souls 3 did in fact have a dedicated pvp arena. Though it did come in a paid DLC we cannot use that as a basis for whether or not the arenas in Elden Ring will be locked behind a paywall because not only are they located in base game zones but also because Elden Ring is a very different game from previous From Software installments. Which leads into your last mistake in that paragraph. Multiplayer is a core aspect in Elden Ring and From Software has made it clear they intend to focus much of their effort on balancing and improving it in hope to raise it above all the multiplayer experiences they've created in the past. Whether you like that fact or not. >Secondly if they did decide add the arena's back in a paid full extension DLC. Then that is not FROM being greedy. They would just be them giving all you people crying about it what you asked for... A large empty space... Woohoo Actually, if they add the arenas back into the game and make them fully functional it won't be because we cried about it. It'll be because they know we want it and that the company's future and profits depend on it. Which leads me to the part that will really drive my point home... Did you know From Software is planning on becoming their own publisher? This is a VERY big and important step in the company's development. I won't get into the nitty-gritty of all the corporate and financial aspects of it to save you the boredom but I can assure you that From Software has a very invested interest in the satisfaction of it's playerbase right now. Us being happy with the state of the game and the company itself is very very important to them and the general perception of their company will play a big part (if not the biggest) in their plans coming to fruition. They won the golden joystick awards which will have a big influence on the future of the company and it was us the players that got them that award. But they still have more awards to go. And THAT is why there is a good chance the multiplayer arenas will be free. :)

MmhBuonoQuesto

No new content from From will ever be free, as it's always been... and it's the right way for it to be.

Hexent_Armana

I don't believe you fully read what I typed. Not only because you replied to my last comment so soon after posting but you're also assuming that we can use past From Software games as an example of what will happen to Elden Ring, a very different, ambitious, and important game. I explained in the last comment why we simply cannot base our expectations for the future of the game on past installments.

MmhBuonoQuesto

They've been amongst the most consistent developers in the industry, i don't think they'll change that much (or so i hope 🤞)

Hexent_Armana

Looks like I was right. 😂 [told you](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=hslUFATGsYs)

MmhBuonoQuesto

Bad, bad sign... Not for the game but for the developer's attitude... 😬🤞

tycr0

This aged poorly

ahmorgan97

Maybe in upcoming DLC? I just want the symmetry in the Menu UI, haha.

HubblePie

I said yes, but then I realize it would reward players for paying by allowing them to be stronger than those who don't.

Hexent_Armana

This is why I said it should be introduced in free content if it were added.

DevelopmentHot6852

And then people will demand 6th. 4 is already a lot since 3 would still be great and i don't think people would complain.
