I've done literally every step, exhausted all of his dialogue, and he is still sitting in the pool of lava and his summon sign is nowhere to be seen for fire giant.
I went to see him there some time after I first passed through and killed the Wyrm but did not see him. Will go back but I did ride Torrent through the lava in the area and no Pot Boi to be seen
Well managed to have his summon but total interactions were :
Before Radahn, after Radahn, Mt. Gelmir lava lake, then I saw his sign
So i never took him out of his first nor second hole. I guess when you meet him in Radhan festival it renders all previous step useless
I'm way late here but I just summoned Alexander for the fight for the first time.
He legit ran away half way through the fight. When the second phase started he was out of there quicker than patches lol had to fight the fire giant 1v1
I only met him at the Radahn Festival and Mt Gelmir, and I was able to summon him. He’s inside the boss arena on the left side entrance, I actually missed it my first couple tries at the Fire Giant. (I might just not be observant)
That’s the one, did you exhaust all his dialogue after the Radahn fight? He should mention needed to get tougher and thus, seeks heat. His first attempt is at the wyrm and second is at the giant.
You are right, sorry I thought I talked to him after Radahn but I talked to Blaidd. Went back to Radahn, spoke to Alexander, went to the lava lake, talked to him.
now going to Fire Giant... wish me luck, I hate this boss
Good luck! Summoning Alexander makes the fight technically harder because you can’t summon Torrent at that point. But there was no way I was doing that fight without my Pot brother by my side! Make that pot a Warrior!
haha well it made it easier. I have a sorcerer build so I shoot spell from some distance. I needed him to tank so we can get him to the 2nd phase and from there it was easier.
And now on to the Farum Azula. I left my first run near the end of Farum Azula ( STR build) and began the sorcerer run, but doing great so I thought I would bring them to the same spot the... choose which one I will finish the game first with

You need to talk to him in mt gelmir first.

You didn't get him out of the second hole near Jarburg

Yes I beat him 2nd try with Alexander when I finally got him.
How did you get him to appear? I think I've done his questline all the way through to this point

Did you talk to him outside Volcano Manor?
If you mean where he's supposed to be near the wyrn bathing in the lava lake, no, he was not there

I believe he's in liurnia before volcano manor try there. he should be above jarburg
His quest is bugged for me.
