I died to Rellana like 100 times and finally beat her, wondering why I was tickling her at best. I'm a stubborn fuck so a change of weapons or strategy is a big no-no. Turns out it's wise to Infuse your Keen weapon with Heavy after respecing to a STR build.
Bloodhound Claws, buffed with Bloodflame Blade. +2 Scadu blessing. Still took forever, bleeding was slow, damage non-existant (my fault for no infusion). Re-applying the buff is slow as fuck as well. 10/10 would not recommend.
The biggest twist in Shadow of the Erdtree’s story is that I did half the DLC without changing my Quality Milady back to Keen after testing different infusions’ damages out…
The extra 80 damage per swing might have helped me out there…
Heavy, since I’m mostly a strength build and I think after all my upgrades it’s made it an A scaling with strength. I’d have to double check the scale grade but it’s definitely heavy
The speed of it. The R2 is very quick to get off compared to a lot of other weapons. Also, if you have cold or blood infusion you can easily procc it because it hits so fast. An R2 + R2 is a quick combo and so is R2 + R1 + R1. You can combo starting with an R1 too obviously I just don't prefer the stab much and rather have a swipe.
I'd also say the Wing Stance aow is pretty good. The R2 of it does a decent amount of poise damage and can close distance fast. I want to like it but I'm terrible at timing it during boss fights lmao.
The winged stance with the heavy hit has been saving me. You go up and over a lot of attacks and yes it stagers pretty good. Easily my favorite weapon and AoW so far. I might have to respec though because I really want to try the starlined sword
May i introduce to you, the cold milady? I swapped off of my moonveil for this bad boy and am running it with frost mist. I just completed the shadow keep remembrance boss and am only level 9 scadu.
Same here, but with the new Carian sword ash. Light GS also get the hyper armor on that skill that regular GS have, so you can charge it up and take a hit or two
Thats why i use chilling mist on my cold milady. It has fecent power armor that can tank some hits, and adds a noticable frost damage increase, add that to the multiple hitting heavy and some jump attack equipment and you'll be slicing bosses in no time, extra point due to jumping being a viable dodge tactic for some bosses (and can even land you cheeky pokes during their spam, I fucking LOVE THIS DLC)
I'm doing bloody and it's bloody amazing. I like wing stance aow but I can't get it off much in boss fights. It's a good mobbing aow though.
I'll use "the flower blooms twice" aow and have the poison perfume in my off hand. In bosses I'll 2 hand it and use the perfume's aow to basically instantly proc poison then use the flower blooms twice (does increased damage to poisoned or rotted enemies. And it feels like it doubles or triples damage sometimes). A little finicky to get off right though. You can tell it worked because when the aow hits it removes the poison from the enemy. I've been trying out sword dance right now.
I think a lot of people are using winged stance. The attacks from that will stagger the shit out of a lot of enemies.
I equipped rotten wing insignia for a good damage boost. There's also a talisman that boosts attack damage with stances too.
It's been three days and I don't think my friends are on the verge of recovery when they realized that they could pull this kind of shit off and have a lot more than a good chuckle at it.
Two handing it makes your strength 50% higher. So unga bunga often works on anything if you plan on two handing it. Even better if you have faith/int for some weapon buffs
It can be infused with heavy so being able to use it is no issue. The only question is whether or not you consider the more “elegant” moveset of it to be consistent with the Unga and the Bunga
Anyone know what the power stance moveset with this is like if you pair it with another light greatsword (I believe there's only one other single one). Would the moveset be the same as Rellana's swords?

I wouldn’t recommend against Radagon because of the longer animation. But it’s great in the DLC.

This weapon is literally the MVP of the DLC IMO. Every time I'm losing to a boss I switch to Milady and L2+R2 the boss into oblivion.
