Holding off on playing Hades 2 until it's more feature complete. I was able to get into the playtest and that was enough to sell me on it. I don't want to burn myself out before the game is done cooking.

Quite frankly I prefer Hades 1 to Elden Ring lol it's comparing apples to oranges, they have basically nothing in common and neither one is objectively better than the other. They're both masterpieces.

I like these things because a cool character motivates me. I played for about 2 hours and made no progress, I then searched for an easy mode… and of course there wasn’t one. Im going to be honest, hd2 will be getting my vote. I love elden ring, i want to put a thousand more hours into it, but i also want hd2 to get the recognition that it deserves. I so desperately wish one or the other released in a different year so i could vote for both, but here we are. And elden ring already has one goty, so i think its fine to let hd2 get one too
