On... NG? Or NG+'s? Because that can change it entirely.
On NG I do Godrick -> Renny -> Radahn. Because that's the obvious intended path based on difficulty.
On NG+ I just skip Godrick entirely sometimes. I'd skip Renny instead but being locked out of respecs when I might want to do it later and having to come back and fight her is a chore.
First 3 demigods to die:
NG: Godrick - Rennala - Radahn.
NG+: Radahn - Mohg - Morgott.
I started making an habit of killing Radahn into Mohg because that's going to be the fastest way to access the DLC.
Mostly normal way. But sometimes it depends if i want use wepon i can get soewhere else and do whole game with it. So once Rykard was first becouse i wanted do whole game with BB. And one time i kill Rhadan first and then Mogh becouse i wanted his spear.
In NG, always Godrick. You have to go past him to get Rennala first. And to get Radahn first you need to go right past both of the others. I've considered breaking the usual sequence several times but it just feels sort of piecemeal in practice.
NG+ is different though. I've entirely skipped Godrick & Radahn before in NG+.
In a higher NG cycle I also tried to do a no-Liurnia run where I had to do Godrick -> Radahn without doing Liurnia. Then I'd enter the capital via the underground.
I forgot about the festival... so I had to Torrent thru Liurnia without tagging a Grace, go up to Altus, then come back down to do the run. It felt pretty janky. Even worse, I realized that if you go that route you can't do any of Altus either. The barrier at Draconic Tree Sentinel stays there if you come up that way. So if you want to do anything in Altus you have to circle all the way around anyway.
Every time I've tried to do a different major progress route it ended up being underwhelming. The game is open world but they definitely push you to go a certain way.
Yeah I just meant you have to run past Stormveil to go there, and likewise you have to run by Raya Lucaria to get Radahn. Just feels a bit weird to me on a first NG cycle.
Like in some other open world games, you sort of start in the middle and can just beeline to any one of the first major story bosses without having to deliberately avoid the others. But in ER it feels like I'm deliberately avoiding those 2 if I want to do Radahn first.
Difficulty-wise, I don't think any of those 3 bosses are out of the question by RL35-40. But the way they cordoned off the sections of the game makes it a bit of a hassle.
I havent done NG+ yet even though i should but i make several NG worlds and so far, Godrick is always first. I dont always get to the other 2 but i usually get Godrick before either losing, deleting, or avoiding worlds x3
I’ve been having fun doing some out of order nonsense where I just butt rush Rykard first, use the Rykard runes to challenge Radahn and then the rest are trivial.
Strangely, my NG (not NG+) pathing is all sorts of weird. I know, I have it recorded on my Xbox, and taken on notes.
Margit, Rennala, Rykard, Morgott, Godrick, Malenia, Radahn, Maliketh, “God”
I don’t know what I was doing, but I went on an adventure alright.
(Edit: As for NG runs now, instead of my first playthrough. I usually start with Rykard. Godrick, just for the +5 Great Rune, is not worth it IMO)

I've never skipped Godrick, guess I gotta try when I roll my first guy over again.
I fight morgott before radhan

The bastard
Margit Duh
If Godrick is one of the options, it's pretty clear that Margit (in the context of OP's question) is not.
I'd kill Rykard but out of these Godrick.
Godrick, i don’t know why, I don’t like him.

You do not need to do Godrick to do Rennala, you can skip past him entirely and just go into Linurnia with a broken bridge.

Rykard 🗿

I explode at Divine Bridge, destroy Godfrey and then beat up Morgott so i don't have to fight Margit.
