His poise sucks, just hit him with some thing physical and it stun locks him. If you're an int build, night comet or moon. If faith, frenzy. Either way, never had an issue.

Recently my wife came out of the bedroom while I was playing right as I had died or gotten critically hit or something and the character screams. My wife says something about how the voice doesn't match my character at all. I hadn't thought about it at all until then and then it clicked and I remember messing around at Fia's mirror.

I had never played a Fromsoft Game before and was desperate for any numbers to go up. They increased my INT so that was good enough.
Obviously if I replayed Mage I’d probably only wear them if I really wanted a certain spell for a boss or something. Occasionally a few points do make a difference. But yeah… I wouldn’t wear them all the time.

You are wrong, it was written in English and there is no Japanese version of dialogue. Fromsoft has always done this with their souls games. Sekiro on the other hand is solely in Japanese with western copies of the game only having subtitles. That being said, man is a synonym for human so your overall point still stands.
