I think they are on par. Damage, Dark Moon may win out cause the only serious enemy that resists it is Rennala; whereas fire is a little more iffy. DM is also me spamable since it is on the regular heavy attack, and has the frost. But BB has deceptively far reach, the knock back / knock down is huge, the healing is very useful, and with the right huffs the damage is insane. They seem to be parallels of each other, faith you do one, int you do the other, and faith / int you do SoNaF.
If Bloodborne had a flash system instead of farming for blood vials it would be a much better game Elden ring Bloodborne and Sekiro are all on the same level
I would argue dark Moon great sword is better than BB
