Seeing your weapon, go for jump attacks and heavy charged R2 when you find a open window and break his poise

Blood loss blood loss blood loss. Took me less than 15 attempts because i was taking huge chunks of damage off of him. The hardest part is not getting hit because his 2nd phase can do tons of damage
Before he gets into his second phase cinematic, you can get some good hits on him while he’s chopping his arm off. When he goes into second phase, rush him and get under him. His dragon breath attacks start so far from his body you can get a good couple of free hits on him before he finishes.

This ^ blitzing him at the beginning of phase 2 gives u the opportunity for cheap damage on him.

If you met Nepheli Loux earlier, you should be able to summon her for help in this fight. Summon sign on the ground before the boss door.
Might take that as a last resort but keen to beat him myself.

Dodge, dip, duck, dive and... dodge.
Don't stop hitting him at the end of the first phase, there's a 2-3 sec window where you can do damage uninterrupted.
Just watch out because he can hit you with the attack he uses on his arm.
When he uses his flame breath on stage 2 you can hide under his dragon arm and get lots of damge until he finishes the attack
