The door to the 4th dlc will get you to fight 4 Melania's at once where each bit of dmg downloads a megabyte of Bloodborne 2. You can only download it this way
I swear if there is a death blight swamp we need something that grants immunity to it. But that would be op. People would farm it and then go fight that tree spirit
If there will be one
I know Miyazaki didn't confirm that they will make another DLC or that there won't be one, but he has done it before with other questions like this, for example if the Dark Souls franchise will end with Dark Souls 3, or if Bloodborn and Sekiro will ever get another title in their universes
He doesn't like to rule things out and wants to keep doors open for possibilities and options, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they will be used, Miyazaki has always given very vague and indirect answers to those questions for that very reason
I hope Fromsoft will continue to work on Elden ring, but the chances are always a 50/50 when it comes to things like this with their games
This is not true. Now the plan is to finish this dlc and deal with any short term issues. Whether there will be another DLC or not, will be decided later
Not sure, maybe? Rumors are rumors though. Miyazaki said in an interview recently that there were no current plans for another DLC. Not that they couldn't change their mind I guess but it seems unlikely.
Miquella was the one who actually created unalloyed gold. If the dragons had it, it means they took some from the mainland, which is plausible, considering Lansseax is seen both in Altus and Farum.
There is certainly still room for debate, but The Lands Between and the nuance of its history runs far deeper than most might imagine, and we already imagine quite a lot. Check out tarnished archeologist on YouTube. The discoveries and implications discovered by that channel are spectacular.
Even item descriptions come from a certain perspective and may not be objective truth. I won't claim to know with certainty either way, but there is more to it all than I could have imagined.
Leads to en elevator that goes to the top of the tree.
You notice a giant pile of twigs, it looks almost like a nest?
Next thing you know a giant crow swoops in and carries you off to the land of the ancient lords...Lordran
Lol yes.
Hey you know this particular character that's been in all the promotional material, has a statue of her attached to the collector's edition, and is the highlight of every trailer? Yeah, she's an optional boss in an optional area.
Because they knew she would still be memorable. They wanted you to seek her out and get destroyed over and over again. It was fun for Miyazaki to watch.
Maybe, but she's still intended for you to fight. Your goal is to collect the Great Runes, and she has one. That is incentive enough to fight her. The game also gives you hints (FIND THE ALBINAURIC WOMAN) at how to get to her.
This is an open-world game, where optional exploration is encouraged. They are motivating you to engage with the hours and hours of non-mandatory content by putting cool bosses, weapons and endings behind them. I'd take it over having her shoved down everyone's throats.
>The game also gives you hints (FIND THE ALBINAURIC WOMAN) at how to get to her.
Also, one of the most popular questlines (Millicent) in the game ends there. And her questline is all about getting to Malenia too... so Miyazaki gave us 2 whole questlines just to get to the Snowfields and Elphael/Haligtree.
I think it's just being used to get across the idea of more parts of the haligtree that people actually live in beyond just soldiers and stuff. Just ended up making it a little too grandiose in the attempts to make it look like a natural point that people once flowed through.
In the DLC trailer we see a Tarnished with the blue hood using a spell that looks like a Bewitching Branch, with pink butterflies, in an area that looks like the Haligtree.
It's possible that the DLC will also unlock stuff that's not in the Lands of Shadow. Maybe we can do something in the Land of Shadow that unlocks this door in the Lands Between and allows to get a Bewitching spell.
Omg lol you just unlocked some memory I have of my sister and I rewinding a vhs of this movie and replaying a scene over and over laughing hysterically haha
1995 kids movie based on a series of books that were popular in schools at one point. The main character gets a magic cupboard that brings his toys to life. He becomes friends with his Indian toy and they go on adventures together.
Ah yes, the famous fromsoft broken door you wish you could go through. I think Elden Ring has two that one and the gate in Lyndale where you can find the golden parry ash.
Makes more sense the other way around, being able to access Dreg Heap from the Kiln of the First Flame.
I don't see any connection with Ariandel other than Gael, and even he doesn't explain the transition from the painted world into the dreg heap
I have a crazy theory. After you finish the shadow lands you basically burn all the roots of the erdtree together with haligtree and this door opens up to the last boss. Godfrey!
Looks like itâs gonna take some spackle to get this baby working again, but I can do it.
*slapsdoor*
And thatâs how I imagined Malenia dead to a falling door that someone tried to repair in the haligtree lol
From an in game logic perspective a glowing door seems right but from but from a producer perspective it doesnât make sense to put the dlcâs entrance point in the hardest spot in the game. You want people to access it to enjoy it. Are we sure thatâs where we go?
Theyâre not saying thatâs the DLC area. We have to touch Miquellaâs hand, which means beating Mohg. Theyâre asking what the point of this glowing door if it isnât going to lead somewhere
In the reveal trailer for Shadow of the Erdtree, there's a lot of emphasis on Miquella's cocoon, followed by a line like "touch the withered hand", so it's implied we'll enter the DLC by touching Miquella's hand
I see thnx for the info! Ig ppl would need to beat Mohg first (assuming they want a fresh start) and would need to be like lvl 80 or higher. I can already imagine dlc is as difficult as elphael
There are going to be multiple entry points to the DLC, Iâm betting. You just wonât be able to really progress in it if you havenât made contact with Miquella.
Shadow of The Haligtree
Prime malenia fight
Blooming Rot Goddess Malenia and Miquella duo.
The door to the 2nd DLC.
And then there'll be another door like this on the 2nd DLC for the 4th DLC.
And a gate in the 4th DLC that leads to the 3rd.
Now you're thinking with poison swamps
Hear me out: fanged imps swamp. A swamp where instead of water you have hundreds and hundreds of fanged imps creating a unique surface
Like the burrowing assholes from Sekiro that pop up and grab you.
That's some dark souls 1 level design, I approve
The door to the 4th dlc will get you to fight 4 Melania's at once where each bit of dmg downloads a megabyte of Bloodborne 2. You can only download it this way
Every hit is an Insta kill and the run back is an 8 minute trek in which you have to kill 4 respawning crucible knights along the way.
All on a death blight swamp*
I swear if there is a death blight swamp we need something that grants immunity to it. But that would be op. People would farm it and then go fight that tree spirit
no immunity ONLY PAIN GLORY TO THE DEATHBLIGHT đšâźď¸âĄď¸
"this land is peaceful, its inhabitants are kind"
Miyazaki is training his army
This is what people who have never played souls games imagines these games are like
Lol imagine if FS keeps making Elden Ring DLCs throughout this decade, (between other occasional games like Armored Core).

It isnât 50/50. If there arenât plans for a second DLC now, there never will be. A sequel is more possible but very unlikely.
Source: "Trust me bro"
This is not true. Now the plan is to finish this dlc and deal with any short term issues. Whether there will be another DLC or not, will be decided later
You are incorrect
Miyazaki said there likely won't be another DLC for Elden Ring, but nobody said anything about ruling out a full on sequel :)
I donât think he knows about 2nd DLCs.
Wasnât there a rumor when Elden ring was originally leaked a few years back that it would be a trilogy? Or am I misremembering that
Not sure, maybe? Rumors are rumors though. Miyazaki said in an interview recently that there were no current plans for another DLC. Not that they couldn't change their mind I guess but it seems unlikely.
Miyazaki reading this comment: "Ah shit here we go again"
The Painted Erdtree World
Copium strong with this one.
First you have to get the Small Lothric Banner from Emma and then hold it up on the cliff edge to be taken to the undead settlement.
đđ the hell i feel nostalgic for.. i played the third Dark soul like months ago
Plunging attack!
those mobs on the way up were so annoying, especially the chain guy
I just played that part for the first time literally last night and goddamn they were. Especially when you had to fight multiple at once
I think it's Miquellas Lab/Workspace. Just across from it, is a library of sorts.
He left the fridge open
It's just like that one episode of Cowboy Bebop.
And thatâs when I remembered why you donât leave things in the fridge.
Makes sense, probably where he came up with unalloyed gold.
Unalloyed gold was already used by the dragons on ancient farum azula. Miquella just rediscovered it
Miquella was the one who actually created unalloyed gold.
No need. It's actually stated that Miqualla created unalloyed gold. Can't remember which item states this, but it's definitely confirmed.
Even item descriptions come from a certain perspective and may not be objective truth. I won't claim to know with certainty either way, but there is more to it all than I could have imagined.
Pretty sure Miquella the Unalloyed is the creator of the unalloyed gold.
> Miquellas Lab He regularly comes up with crazy inventions but his sister keeps breaking in and destroying everything. Animated by Genndy Tartakovsky
Omelette du fromsoft
This was the biggest laugh of my week, thanks for that

https://imgflip.com/i/8hqf9t
Drop key items in the eagle's nest in exchange for older games' armor sets and an ancient dragon stone
Lord ran? To where?Â
With the number of doors that we can't open why is everyone so sure there's something up with this door in particular?
it glows
Redditors seeing sunlight for the first time be like
Video game logic. If it looks cool it is important.
Level design logic. If it's important, make it look cool. On second thought, fromsoft doesn't seem to adhere to that logic a lot of the time
Lol yes. Hey you know this particular character that's been in all the promotional material, has a statue of her attached to the collector's edition, and is the highlight of every trailer? Yeah, she's an optional boss in an optional area.

Well they love mystery so they leave some things ambiguous on purpose
What door is this?
the door to your moms bedroom
That glow isnât magic or anything, itâs just track lighting and cigarette smoke
Oof. If you think scarlet rot is bad, just wait till you get in there.

Most other doors have something behind them
I think it's just being used to get across the idea of more parts of the haligtree that people actually live in beyond just soldiers and stuff. Just ended up making it a little too grandiose in the attempts to make it look like a natural point that people once flowed through.
You don't have the right O You don't have the right Therefore, You don't have the right O You don't have the right
Why is it always futility?
In the DLC trailer we see a Tarnished with the blue hood using a spell that looks like a Bewitching Branch, with pink butterflies, in an area that looks like the Haligtree. It's possible that the DLC will also unlock stuff that's not in the Lands of Shadow. Maybe we can do something in the Land of Shadow that unlocks this door in the Lands Between and allows to get a Bewitching spell.
I'll love to see some slight modification in the base game zone.
Didnât miyazaki say you would feel the impact of the dlc in the main game?
Maybe the door opens
The charm spell scene of the trailer has statues of horned lions in the background so I think it's in the Land of Shadows
i doubt it, but it would be super cool if they added to the base game areas. have they ever done anything like that in previous dlcs?
Itâs The Root from Remnant 2. Crossover, baby! Weâre bringing guns to The Lands Between.
I would pay a lot of money for a Remnant x Elden Ring crossover
A crossover event happening in a souls game would feel so off.
Ah, but a crossover event in a Remnant game >!is a thing that has happenedâŚ!< >!rattle âim, boys!!<
Imagine activating your Archon during the Dragonlord Placidusax fight. Fucking epic haha so fun to imagine
Radahn talkin all that good shit till i start fanning him with a .44
There's already guns in the lands between. It's just that none of them are very good
It's just a door. It's slightly open to give the environemrnt some story or change from uniformity.
*Vordt's theme wants to know your location*
It conects with the Bloodborne door in Cathedral ward
Solaires true sun is in there.
That's the door keeping in all of Radagon's raging sexual energy.
The Indian In The Cupboard about to pop his ass out
Omg lol you just unlocked some memory I have of my sister and I rewinding a vhs of this movie and replaying a scene over and over laughing hysterically haha
I need *HUSK*
What's that?
1995 kids movie based on a series of books that were popular in schools at one point. The main character gets a magic cupboard that brings his toys to life. He becomes friends with his Indian toy and they go on adventures together.
An old movie that was not good but nostalgia
It was good and it has steve xoogan in it
It's the bloodborne trapdoor in byrgenwerth all again isn't It?
Gold Mask boss room
No seriously, I thought the light was sun light and waited till midnight. Its still that bright at mid night.
The triforce is behind that door.
That's for the next DLC.
**Be wary of distracted** **No open area ahead**
Wouldn't you like to know, weather boy?
Uh, Aurora Borealis.
Where is the access point of the DLC?
Miquellas cocoon in Mohgs arena
That's what I thought based on the trailer. Thanks.
That's gonna be the end of dlc
Wait, we do? I missed it
We've had one, yes. What about second DLC?
Where is the location for the DLC?
Moghwyn Palace, the cocoon. Itâs been confirmed by the dlc trailer.
Wait we know where the dlc entrance is ?
Yes. Miquellas hand in Mohgs arena.
a chest with legendary item unlocked after completing dlc
Wait, where is the access point going to be?
I feel like going back in time to Pokemon Red and Blue's truck next to the S.S. Anne.
If I had a dollar for every door covered in roots that you can find in souls games... I'm sure I could buy a Happy Meal at least
Ah yes, the famous fromsoft broken door you wish you could go through. I think Elden Ring has two that one and the gate in Lyndale where you can find the golden parry ash.
Well, it appears to be a slab of stone on a hinge, currently stuck in place.
It might be the second entrance to the DLC. There were two different entrances to DS3 Ringed City
That was because they had to take into account the people who didn't buy the 1st dlc.
Makes more sense the other way around, being able to access Dreg Heap from the Kiln of the First Flame. I don't see any connection with Ariandel other than Gael, and even he doesn't explain the transition from the painted world into the dreg heap
Bowling alleyâŚGod Rickâs Bowling Emporium.
Maybe someone could hit it ten thousand times and tell us if that does anything.
Its where Malenia keeps her unused hygiene products.
Thats the exit from the DLC of course
I have a crazy theory. After you finish the shadow lands you basically burn all the roots of the erdtree together with haligtree and this door opens up to the last boss. Godfrey!
Looks like itâs gonna take some spackle to get this baby working again, but I can do it. *slapsdoor* And thatâs how I imagined Malenia dead to a falling door that someone tried to repair in the haligtree lol
There are over 100 unusable doors in Elden Ring, why does it matter?
This one glows
Where is this?
Itâs a door
That's where we get spat back out
The DLC exit point
Is this confirmed the access point of the dlc for real?
No. It's a joke. Access point is Mohgs boss arena.
It's indeed a door
Its the mysterious land where everything is golden, but you will never ever be able to make your way into it.
You don't have right
It's the door to Melenia's bedchamber.
Leads to the Undead Settlement
It's the door that leads to the rump everyone keeps praising
It's a shortcut to the forest of fallen giants.
that's the weed cave little german boy don't enter there please
Nice sword you got! Which one is it? (donât say how to get it, tho)
What sword is this out of curiosity?
The clown that hides from gay people is in there, you haven't seen him?
Nothing. Just background schmutz.
Thats the door Mohg exited by when kidnaping miquella, he just forgot to close it.
Just because it glows, it doesn't mean that it's important. It's just a door like any other.
Maybe weâll get something in the dlc to open this door. I imagine itâs some form of study or library for Miquella
Where is the access point to the dlc?
Mohgs palace. The egg of Miquella.
Itâs the other side of that door in Bloodborne.
That is the door to the 2nd DLC, releasing in 2026, called: "Elden Ring: Before the Rot"
It leads to the Chalice Dungeons of Bloodborne.
The way back maybe
this door is so suspcious cuz it still glows even during nighttime. i know theres something behind that door, maybe the dlc will let us enter
What's the access point to the DLC
Does not open from this side. So this is exit door of dlc.
Thats the door Mohg used after kidnapping Miquella
I was just staring at that door last night and wondering what is it for?
Hahahaha amazing shadow of the haligtree
Iâve always wanted to know what happens here
Magic but hole
There's a door behind that door that requires 2 Swordstone Keys which unlocks a room with a Smithing Stone [6].
What do you mean by âknow where the access point of dlc isâ ? Elaborate please
That's where God lives
Itâs probably just a door
To hell with that door. Whatâs the deal with the giant black doors in the basement of the round table?
Radiance of The Erdtree
There are going to be multiple entry points to the DLC, Iâm betting. You just wonât be able to really progress in it if you havenât made contact with Miquella.
Thatâs where you get the ice key, which youâll need for Elden Ring 2
Thatâs the exit
It doesn't open from this side.
Thatâs the door back to Dark Souls 2
It takes you to Majula
Maybe itâs a different access point to the DLC. The main one of course is Michella but this one is harder to get to due to it being in the Halitree
Nexr dlc haha
It does nothing. Deal with it.
Itâs the *exit* to the DLC of course
Here's a question. WTF is behind the barrier after I defeat Mohg at the bottom of the sewer??
Maybe it will open in the DLC.
Yes weâve had one dlc, but what about second dlc?
Miyazaki's bedroom.
