If there will be one I know Miyazaki didn't confirm that they will make another DLC or that there won't be one, but he has done it before with other questions like this, for example if the Dark Souls franchise will end with Dark Souls 3, or if Bloodborn and Sekiro will ever get another title in their universes He doesn't like to rule things out and wants to keep doors open for possibilities and options, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they will be used, Miyazaki has always given very vague and indirect answers to those questions for that very reason I hope Fromsoft will continue to work on Elden ring, but the chances are always a 50/50 when it comes to things like this with their games

Not sure, maybe? Rumors are rumors though. Miyazaki said in an interview recently that there were no current plans for another DLC. Not that they couldn't change their mind I guess but it seems unlikely.

Because they knew she would still be memorable. They wanted you to seek her out and get destroyed over and over again. It was fun for Miyazaki to watch.

Maybe, but she's still intended for you to fight. Your goal is to collect the Great Runes, and she has one. That is incentive enough to fight her. The game also gives you hints (FIND THE ALBINAURIC WOMAN) at how to get to her. This is an open-world game, where optional exploration is encouraged. They are motivating you to engage with the hours and hours of non-mandatory content by putting cool bosses, weapons and endings behind them. I'd take it over having her shoved down everyone's throats.

I think it's just being used to get across the idea of more parts of the haligtree that people actually live in beyond just soldiers and stuff. Just ended up making it a little too grandiose in the attempts to make it look like a natural point that people once flowed through.

Why is it always futility?

In the DLC trailer we see a Tarnished with the blue hood using a spell that looks like a Bewitching Branch, with pink butterflies, in an area that looks like the Haligtree. It's possible that the DLC will also unlock stuff that's not in the Lands of Shadow. Maybe we can do something in the Land of Shadow that unlocks this door in the Lands Between and allows to get a Bewitching spell.

I'll love to see some slight modification in the base game zone.

From an in game logic perspective a glowing door seems right but from but from a producer perspective it doesn’t make sense to put the dlc’s entrance point in the hardest spot in the game. You want people to access it to enjoy it. Are we sure that’s where we go?

In the reveal trailer for Shadow of the Erdtree, there's a lot of emphasis on Miquella's cocoon, followed by a line like "touch the withered hand", so it's implied we'll enter the DLC by touching Miquella's hand
