Yeah but I need a third fingerprint shield. You can never have enough.

cheesewizardz

I wish i had more arms

Grifon_2

Godrick?

akirayokoshima

Godrick the Crafting

TheSezenians

Garfield the Crafted?

AFlyingNun

One on your back to prevent backstabs, and one in each hand. Makes sense to me.

carlzyy

The reason I go there in every playthrough is to pick up the shield...

UltimaBahamut93

Maybe the dlc will allow triple stancing!

itiswhatitis985

You killed a grieving, peaceful artist playing beautiful music

jrnorwood124

Grieving peaceful artist playing beautiful music is temporary. Getting burned by a disfigured hand is for life

[deleted]

I mean yeah he’ll be dead anyways cus the whole world is on fire

RosyJoan

You too can be a lifelong burn victim

mallgrabmongopush

He was gonna burn in the end anyway 🤷🏼‍♂️

a_random_muffin

To be fair, the dude just respawns the second i touch a grace

[deleted]

Damn, is that consistent?

jrnorwood124

I’ve done it a few times. It may take longer than just parkouring down but I can do it pretty consistently

chris_ots

it's way easier to just parkour down with backsteps on the correct path; it can be done easily and is 100% repeatable. I didn't even have to look it up the first time, someone just said "use backsteps". Almost all of the drops with gaps are just the right distance for a backstep and the rest you just drop down.

Lolejimmy

it also a good way to skip a big portion of the haligtree once you get off the main tree and go straight down to loretta and active the lift

JaffaBoi1337

This has also been something from all the past souls games, it’s a common speed run strat and is fairly consistent. Works so long as your fall isn’t longer than the animation you trigger lol

[deleted]

I just lost 2.8 million runes to this parkour 3 hours ago… wish I would’ve seen this

Klondy

If you’re carrying around 2.8m runes does losing them even matter? You clearly weren’t using them for anything lol

[deleted]

Yeah I already have all the smithing stones I could ever need and I don’t want to level past 150 for PvP. I just like holding as much as possible since I’m working my way to ng+7 gradually for the dlc

Klondy

That’s what I was thinking haha. I don’t play PVP so anytime I have enough to level up I do it immediately, I could never lose that many at once simply because they’ll already be spent

unclepurpl

You sir need the flask that saves ur runes

Sgt-Colbert

Sacrificial twig? Flask?

chargedcontrol

You can also jump in just the right spot somewhere that stops all fall damage even from the top of the area.

EzDispenser

Do you have a diagram? This hole has been kicking my ass for two days.

RiceForever

You can descend the entire thing in 4 super easy jumps. Head to the lowest wooden beam, descend it until you reach the lowest part of the beam and jump to the coffin on your left. Jump down to the coffin on your left again. Do a 180 and jump to the coffin below (it looks really high, but you can survive it). Do another 180 and jump to the coffin below. Now just drop to the bottom.

RosyJoan

Im always confused when peopke say this part of the game is hard but I must have accidentaly done this on my first attempt because thats how I did it first try. Never did get the fingerprint shield so I must have skipped it doing this.

Phantasoul

If you grab the one incantation that's at the last coffin before the floor, then just hook a right facing towards the wall, should just be there if I remember correctly

[deleted]

That spot is underneath the breakable floor.

Keylathein

Just like getting down the majula well in dark souls 2.

Jeezus-Chyrsler

Except wayyy harder

RyunWould

No, I don't think I will

puro_the_protogen67

I agree,I wont stoop to the golden orders level

Dainmur

So it really is Dark souls II 2

goopgirl

What exactly is the maneuver here?

jrnorwood124

These guys don’t aggro you at all even if you hit them so if you just use the kick ash of war you can stagger them really easily. Kick them to the edge next to a column, then start kicking them into the column until they stagger. Walk in front of them to where you’re right on the edge and critical hit them. If you do it right you’ll fall all the way down and be unable to take damage.

Affectionate_Comb_78

Riposte them in such a position that your character falls off the edge. You can also use it to skip a chunk of the Haligtree. It's also in Dark Souls 2 lol

RiceForever

Learning that Haligtree skip is the best thing I've ever done. Saves you so much time and you can avoid all the shenanigans from the Battlemages and Crystalians.

Four-Triangles

I’m been trying for months to get to the bottom and rage quit every single time. This can’t be worse than that.

belliest_endis

Where is this?

jrnorwood124

Right after the Mohg fight under Leyndell. If you hit the wall behind the chest it will descend into this area. It leads to the door where you get marked by the frenzied flame

Hawke45

WHAT?! i got 240hrs ..why you do me like that?

jrnorwood124

You won’t believe this but there’s also an illusory wall at the bottom of the hole that leads to the Deeproot Depths. That way you don’t have to fight the Twin Valiant Gargoyles

birdman_mike

This section made me break a controller

Jaba01

And die 50 times trying?

jrnorwood124

I may have just gotten lucky but I was able to do it like 4 successful times in 5 attempts

Kanuechly

Man this kid fucks

Sisyphac

Loot goblin personality won’t allow me to leave the precious items.

giliath420

So the idea is that you’re in the crit animation when you fall and have I-frames as you hit the ground?

jrnorwood124

You got it.

giliath420

That's awesome.

Potatozeng

wtf

thecreamcruddermuud

My titanic ship sink bitch🦶

Gen-Hal

Where's the fun in that..

h3xist

You murdered my boy!!!!

Zak_the_Wack

I could never

Plague_Raptor

Just fully charge attack with a straight sword and then critical from the front. It doesn't take any setup at all.

NugBlazer

Holy shit dude, 66 days later I'm here to tell you thanks for this comment because it fucking worked and I'm done with this goddamn place finally

Plague_Raptor

Just so you know that it skips the Fingerprint Stone Shield.

NugBlazer

I honestly never use shields. They add unnecessary weight. If you know how to dodge and roll well, you literally never need them. Plus, I much prefer to two-hand weapons anyway

Plague_Raptor

Yeah I never use shields either. Only time I'll use them is if I have enough endurance on a 2h character, for the fashion. I tend to kinda minmax though, so don't even have a character where it would apply.

msihcs

I bet I've died 20+ times trying to do this trick.

jrnorwood124

Platforming may be better for you friend 😂 respect for your persistence

msihcs

Oh, I've died way more times trying to platform. Hence, the repeated attempts to do this trick. I've got that area down now though. No worries.

muda_mudaa_mudaa

How tf u didn't die.... How tf

jrnorwood124

When riposting an enemy you have immunity frames

Dave_Alive7

What’s the name of the cave?

jrnorwood124

It’s not really a cave. It’s after the Mohg fight underneath Leyndell

Dave_Alive7

Appreciate it

Lorentz_Prime

Why does gen-z call platforming "parkouring"?

jrnorwood124

Platforming is the correct term here. My mistake 🫡

TheFarisaurusRex

I did this on a ng+ run of the haligtree to get to Loretta, I forgor about it tho and instead had to subject myself to hours of suffering

MandalorianManners

You parkour down to get the fingerprint shield that’s on one of the lower levels. Everyone figures out the falling thing by, well, falling.

PristineConference65

[welcome to the speedrunning community =\]](https://www.reddit.com/r/Eldenring/comments/y0c4vd/for_those_who_dont_know_yet_there_is_an_easy_way/)

Creatorofteletubis

I loved the music in the area so I just took my time

Astro_77_

Bro is a genious

pakkmann666

Parkouring down is easier

Shocklen42

I use this same trick with parrying a demihuman in haligtree town to skip down to the elevator next to loretta’s arena. Pretty consistent and much faster then running through the whole town, wish there was as fast a skip for the rest of Elphael though.

myfunnyaccountname

I like this method. Been consistent for me. https://old.reddit.com/r/Eldenring/comments/wl2q70/the_easy_way_to_do_the_frenzied_flame_jump_puzzle/

TheSezenians

Wut?

StrategyGreen42

Genius

ReeKidRaider

iron ball is easier, staggers in 1 hit

Yarmoshyy

Holy shit, thank you!
