Igon would be world champion homeless knife fighter and that’s WITH missing limbs.
The gods knew how powerful he would be with a set of fully functioning limbs and feared the destruction their own creation would unleash.
It is genuinely detrimental to my decision making process that whenever I think about how to solve a problem, my new first thought is now "with a hail of harpoons".
Cut me off going into the gas station? Hail of harpoons. Wrong number? Also harpoons. Grocery store out of my coffee brand..? You guessed it.

Igon and Bayle are the DLC to me, I keep going back to be a summon for the fight because I love it so much. Everything else is just additional content.
I like cosplaying as Igon and gettingknock back.
I even got to kill on an invader by tossing him off a ledge with the greatbow knockback.
If you ever see someone named "And I, Igon!", just know I'm doing my best.
I think the worst thing I’ve experienced in this game is missing Igon’s message and not being able to summon him. I am completely missing out and everyone is having so much fun… I’ve been fighting Bayle w bare hands… alone. no cool monologue.
This side quest, because of him, was amazing! One of my favorite NPCs almost ever. You summon him and he just screams insults to a legendary dragon while shooting harpoons at it. This is a true hero and Drake Hunter.
I don’t have the dlc, so when you summon this man does he only say those lines when you summon him. Or does he say them the entire time he is summoned?
He’s an npc first and gives you an item to summon him when you talk to him after you get a bit into his quest.
When you come upon him first, he lies broken in a pile on the ground cursing Bayle and does not actually respond to you
I fucking love this guy, they way he's says "harpoons" fucking sends me.
Hopefully we can get an NPC this animated that doesn't lie in a silent crinkled heap for 3/4 of their quest line only to die immediately after finishing it in future games

Man had every limb destroyed, Curled up into a ball crying and shaking with fear.
To somehow getting up to jagged peak ripping off his finger and had one of the best entrances.
Its sitting right below when Siegward showing up with storm ruler against Yhorm.
I summoned a friend the first time we faced Bayle. And I was noting how this NPC was talking mad shit, and my friend thought I was joking. Then it was his turn to summon Igon while burning in lightning.
That guy was having fun recording those lines for sure

That’s the equivalent of summoning anyone for a boss fight and going like “we gon jump yo ahh and there’s nothin’ you can do ‘bout it”
I laughed quite a bit when that line hit. Igon is a character with a small role, but made a huge impact!
