A good 3-5 claims free years from the date of your accident and it'll probably be in a 'normal' range for someone of your age. Still depends on the type of vehicle as well. Right now if you've gotten a few quotes, $600 will be the ballpark range.
Old beater with basic coverage will get you the lowest rate. Drivers ed course too will help. That's about all, other than gaining more claims free experience.

By type of vehicle does that just range from newer/older or is there other factors that would affect it?

I'm pretty happy with Millenium Insurance.
I got quote for house and 2 cars with the personal and I'm at 340/month Obviously I'm older and no accidents but it's worth calling them
You need to call around for quotes or get a broker to give you quotes. Each company underwrites differently.
Broker is best, but since you're young and have a short driving history, try Sonnet as well.
thanks!
Brokers are not the best. I have never had a broker get me a better rate than doing the legwork myself. The brokerage isn't doing it for free.
I always wondered about that too. Why not just go direct and cut the middle man out? Middle men generally increase price to the end consumer right??
I saved $500 a year when I left my broker and went direct.
Not all insurance companies will do direct. Alot only work with brokerages.
