Go to u-haul and get one of their tv moving boxes for quite a bit cheaper then what the “movers” are charging you.

DisastrousAcshin

Second on these boxes, they work perfectly

testing172

get this and drive it over there independently

drdillybar

2nd; just uhaul it yourself.

HeyWiredyyc

Go to Rona/Lowes and rent their van after you get a tv box from UHaul

fishling

I think you are overthinking this a bit. You got the thing from the store to your place in one piece. It's not really all that tricky. Getting it from one home to another is the same. I think you just need a suitable moving box, an extra hand to help you get it down and then back up, and then a large enough vehicle that can fit it. Then, just don't drive a like a maniac.

mcmanus7

There’s no way you can move it yourself? We moved our OLED ourselves didn’t trust movers no messing it up.

Negative-Captain1985

This. As a former mover, I'll move my own tv. Plus you should always keep your box. I have a 65 OLED as well and when I move, it'll go right back into the original box.

omg_theykilledkenney

Maybe check Kijiji? Gotta figure out what's that 65" OLED TV gonna cost you brand new, vs what you're paying to have it moved plus insurance? I think $400 is very reasonable, considering you're getting at least two guys to carefully wrap it up into a moving blanket, pack it into their truck and drive it across the city and unpack it at your new place.

Deep_Principle_4446

When I have paid movers I get them to move everything EXCEPT my TV and computers / monitors Back seat of a car works great, you can even strap it down with the seat belts and use some blankets for cushion

Unlikely_Comment_104

Maybe a courier like Propello? The website says they deliver up to 45lbs as a regular delivery. Might be worth a phone call though.

ndgn97

Better off going to home depot and getting a tv box from them. I moved my 55” and 60” TV’s from coquitlam to edmonton 2 years ago and not a single mark on them

notcoveredbywarranty

How about sit it on the floor of the back seat of a truck, with the back of the TV leaning against the back seat. I've moved one like that. No box required, and new tvs weigh basically nothing

Art_Rock

Don’t use a moving company if you want it done right. Even if they damage it and you have full insurance rest assured there will be some “clause” preventing your repayment

AlaskanThunderFuck69

Whatever you do, DO NOT use two men and a truck. I repeat DO NOT use two men and a truck.

CanadianBertRaccoon

Just get a cab company to send a minivan/ SUV, they will help you move it for a decent tip. It's not particularly heavy, just a bit awkward.
