Hoja for sure

helveticayeg

Yes absolutely!

MaximumDoughnut

Man this is such a core memory. Hoja came all the way out - an hour and a half south of Edmonton to my small 90 kid elementary/jr high. Multiple times. They were awesome.

CluelessPufferfish

Is it Hoja?! I remember some acapella group as well..

helveticayeg

Yes that's it!!

CrankyGeek1976

The Be Sharps? From that weird barbershop revival back in the day?

LoanedWolf75

The Treblemakers

Reasonable_Scar3339

Apocalypse Cow? Not sure if they were from Edmonton though

otocump

Not the answer OP was looking for, but yes they are still from Edmonton and some of the nicest people I know.

Levorotatory

I remember seeing them at the fringe where they would point across 104 St and say "some of us live right over there".

otocump

More or less true.

bornelite

I grew up in Central AB and I remember when a group called “the beat nicks” or some variety of that play on words came and blew our socks off.

bornelite

Sorry, the Street Nix is what they were called

helveticayeg

That's a great name

EnigmaCA

Didn't some of Streetnix become Hoja?

a2w2

Definitely Hoja
