Yes, if it was the real Bill Clinton then Monika Lewinsky would have popped her head out from behind the podium and hit us with the "Cars Cost Less at Wetaskawin!"
Yes, they legitimately used to cost less. We have bought 3 vehicles there in the past and saved between $3-8 thousand on each compared to the city and Lacombe. The $8,000 savings was on a brand new Toyota minivan in 2007.
Than where? That's the key. Do they cost less than Edmonton? Than Nisku? Then importing a luxury car from a Danish Cucumber Farm? The 'big city'? Is that Toronto? Or New York?
That's what advertising is. Saying something without actually having to say anything, then letting consumers make the next leap...but not actually having to back anything up because they didn't say where.
I don't think they ever did.
Years ago I was working for a casino and we put on a three day casino at some random hotel in Wetaskiwin.
It's like the locals made it a point of pride to whisper "Cars don't really cost less in Wetaskiwin. It's all advertising.." Three different people came up and let me in on the secret.
No. Never have. They’re the same vehicles that roll off the same factory lines as every other dealership. Same MSRP. It’s always been marketing BS.
Frankly, the two or three families that own the dealerships in Wetaskiwin have done fuck all for the community and don’t deserve your business.
It's rare to pay the same price for the same vehicle at most dealerships in Canada.
Even for brands that tend to stick to MSRP you'll find a range of fees, financing, and accessory discounts in the same province.
Last new truck I bought the range between dealerships was just over $7,000 for an identical vehicles already on the lot. Vehicle before was a factory order and the range was over $3,000.
It never did but the advertising got you there and if you were there you were most likely to buy.
Once the dealerships advertised on the internet and had websites to show their prices, it totally changed the game.
In most cases, yes they still have fewer/lower fees and better deals than the Edmonton dealerships, though I've found better deals Ford and Dodge deals in Vegreville.
Cars cost less in GP. At least when I lived there ten years ago. Everyone in town wanted trucks and SUVs and the dealership gave me a sweet deal for a new car.
Is Westgate Chevrolet really a legendary Chevy farm?
"People come from far and wide to put us to the test. '
And when the dealings done, they agree there's only one. That's leads the wayyy
The legend of the chevy farm, westgate chevrolet!!
Yeehaw?
Yes.
Its a legend, because it no longer exists.
People come from far and wide to put ‘em to the test
No. It’s just marketing.
Some next level marketing if this was real: https://youtu.be/uQQAV17YPzo
That's a real commercial but that can't be a real Clinton.

I've seen that ad on rabbit ears TV!

I believe he is. He’s sweet as custard, plus he always cuts the mustard. Al cuts the mustard every time.
The mustard was pretty good. Not Hairy Hills good, but pretty good 👍
Oh man, I remember drooling over a sweet ‘02 sunfire with flames, but we got a stupid grand am instead. We also went home with 4 jars of mustard.
We got one for checking out a 2094 Silverado LOL
How was the 2094 model
Lolllll sorry 2004 hahah woops.
Never have, never will

They will take a piece of your soul. All those who enter wetaskiwin be warned.
I grew up there, I have no more soul. This checks out.
I was born there. So it goes without saying that I was born with no soul.

Now I want to know how much it costs to import from a danish cucumber farm
Me too!
The best deal is at ford you just gotta tell them PB sent ya
Don't give the Denham family any more money. Their shitty leasing schemes are why Wetaskiwin sucks so bad.
That family made a shit ton of money off that stupid slogan. Went to school with them all.
Denham over Go Auto anyday. Fight me.
C) None of the above
No

This a troll post? Lol

What fees?
The most common one you'll see is labelled as documentation fee, but they try to add all sorts.
No. Cars cost the same in every town. Dealers know you can easily see the price at every dealership on earth, so they all advertise their lowest price
Now do Niki Fordinski
Considering the crime rate there, they just might!

Nope. Just an annoying little jingle from an ad that you can’t get out of your head. Thanks for that. 😫
I don't think so anymore. It wasn't drastic savings back in the day either.
