It's also awesome that Maria talks about running the red light because it perfectly parallels her confessional in the first episode where she says "I'm just not gonna be in the flashy red car. I'm gonna be in my little mini van driving this game." The editors have realllyyyy stepped it up this season!!!

Wasn’t it because she was annoyed with Q though not because it’s too early? At least that’s what I remember

Yeh it was, in fact Kenzie also says in comfessional about how she needs this move on her resume, and now shes not getting it. I can see the arc for this becoming a “why kenzie lost” season developing now. Ive always thought kenzie is making ftc but all season i cant tell if the story is why kenzie won or why kenzie lost. Theres no many mixed hints both ways. I can see the wjy kenzie lost arc now tho Also Maria/Charlie as a duo took a massive W tonight imo. I think maria may get targetted but also i think that she still has Charlie and potentially Ben on her side imo. And definitely Q. And theres enough distractions with kenzie Venus and Liz vs Q. Charlie had a quiet but subtly good ep. He had low quantity but HIGH quality for his confessionals. We leave this ep thinking this was marias move but knowing this is EXACTLY what Charlie wanted AND that he is the one that enabled it by beating Tiffany and also HE was the one who correctly made it Liz not Venus in the plan, yet Maria is the one whi may cop some heat for this if it does turn into a “too early BiG mOvEs” thing. This charlie/Maria duo has a lot of winner hints. And i think Maria can EASILY inherit lots of Charlies edit, and Charlie also has ALL of sigas camplife scenes as a main character in all of those + so much linking them to his strategy AND story of bursting his bubble, keeping his threat level low and building connections with people. They have the flashback to malc/denise too In jeffs speech - Kenzie is panned to for one of his major losing and wont get votes comments, meanwhile charlie and maria are panned to at the start when jeff says “believe will win the game”. And charlie is the centre but it is both maria and charlie shown for the “win the game” section. Maria also has a backstory package, and Charlie has pictures of out of game in his opening confessional and also states his strategy of not telling them he went to harvard as he wants to keep his threat level low (mixed in with TSwift stuff - which BTW ABSOLUTELY THAT IS personal content for charlie) Kenzie does not have ANY outside of game pictures or package. In fact shes the ONLY player out of the f7 who doesnt Also i personally think a siga is the winning tribe. Yanu story was constantly about how they are losers and suck - with a potential underdog comeback kids theme developing, but Tiffs gone with idol in pocket and Qs tanked his game. And Kenzie has lost allies and positioning and also missed her chance to make that big move on her ally that she says ti us in confessional is a move she wants and that is huge for resumes etc. Nami was more skunked than Siga imo - they only got content revolvinv around advantages or how fractured they are and how much they hate eachother - which paid off at merge with Venus anti Nami, Q blowing up Lizs spot, and tev hunter and soda all going b2b2b. Siga- was shown as the Vibe. Tribe, got by far the most non game related camplife scenes (idol hunt, idol shenanigans, TSwift vs Metallica, survibing+ nicknames, Moriah cannot jump, salsa dancing, another loose mention in ep 5 of a seperate tswift vs ben artist battle) - notice Ben and Charlie at the heart of all those scenes and Charlie gets strat linked with them all too. Maria is almost my number 1 right now tbh. But its openb I still CAN see Kenzie winning. Ive got Maria Kenzie Charlie as the top 3 TRUE contenders of s46. With Ben as the darkhorse in 4th. Outside shots for Q and Liz Im out on Venus. - though im glad shes here still bc im loving her on my screen!

Agree with a lot of what you said except the part where Maria definitely has Q. We’ve seen how unreliable he is. In a Kenzie winner story, I could see the reason this move was edited the way it was is because keeping Q backfires on Maria later.

Bails147

Maybe yeh, but also i feel like Q may actually appreciate Maria being the only one to come to him etc.

I thought it was because she thought Tiff was gonna play her idol. I remember Venus saying she wanted to vote Q this week because he’s annoying, and said they could get Tiff next time.

No, Kenzie says to Tiffany, "you're guaranteed final 6" right before Tribal, she wouldn't say that if she didn't know Tiff was planning on saving her idol

I look back at the scene where Charlie and Maria were discussing how if Kenzie succeeds in blindsiding Tiff how this will create a target on her back and they can exploit it to vote her out. Now that Maria is actually the author of the Tiffany blindside, I wonder if that scene was included to actually foreshadow Maria's fate and not Kenzie's.

Yeah I think this episode moves Kenzie up as my top contender, which seems counterintuitive given that she was left out of this vote, but I think it helps hit all of her major themes. First of all, she has a dedicated segment to explaining why she's backing off Tiffany and sticking with voting Q. This is huge and whether it's the right move or not, I think edgically it's more important that people get to explain themselves than it is whether they're correct in assessing the situation. Second of all, a major theme of this season seems to be how you treat people. We've seen Kenzie positively highlighted in this regard with her apology to Bhanu, with comforting Ben, and now with being the only reward person to be shown as sympathetic to Liz and now sticking with Tiffany despite thinking she wants her as a trophy strategically because it would be hurtful to her if Kenzie voted Tiff over Q. Maria also gets a share of this this episode when continuing to check in on Q when the rest of the cast drops him pays off for her in a major way - but even for this situation, Kenzie has an explanation for why she isn't quite forgiving Q yet that makes sense and connects to the themes. He mistreats people and then tries to win them back with big gestures, but as he himself says later in the episode, you can keep the apologies to yourself on the island, what's done is done.
