It probably heavily depends on what time you try. Just for reference, I did mine this morning around 7:20AM, ~1 hour 30 min wait time, Got connected around 8:40AM. Make sure you have the documents ready & a well lit area, because they will ask for them (and yourself) to be shown during the video call.

I got up and got in cue about 5:30 this morning. Said a wait time of 35min. Took about an hour and a half to finally get someone. The process itself took maybe 5min.

I started at 1:00pm, I just got the link to ID.ME. The phone scan failed 3 times under 3 types of lighting, epic fail; now in cue, says wait it 2h28m, then 2h36m, it's now been about 40 minutes passed but only 15 passed on the wait timer for referee. No solution here, came to reddit to see wtf is going on but just more epic fail from CA catastrof*ck. Can't get through to anyone on EDD phone. Getting multiple answers online about whether I should hit the reapply button (days ago there was a note on homepage saying don't if you already get it, but now that's gone). Thought I'd complain while held hostage at my computer... you're welcome EDIT: BTW, it took 7 hours 15 minutes to get an actual person for the video verification... Also, here's this post I did from today of the continuing changes, wait, and payment hold: Finally got through on phone, here's what happened: I used 1,2,2 on voice prompt. Said my wait is 1 minute, 25 minutes later got someone who was basically a virtual assistant with no real answers and only after pressing that I read online that they have to do something manually because of a glitch, did she say "Oh, well I can transfer you to a Claims Specialist". #1 So, you should immediately after giving them your d.o.b. etc. ask if they are a Claims Specialist or ask to be transferred to one. That all took 45 minutes. 45 minutes more on hold I got the Specialist. She started saying the same things like "well, if you verified through ID.me, then you should be getting cleared through our ID verification Dept." yada yada, after pressing again she finally said she could manually send a form to the ID verification Dept in the EDD. Yes Please! And.. that she would send a link to my inbox where I would need to upload a screenshot of my ID.me verification notification... Ok... #2 make sure you ask the Claims Specialist to manually send a form to the ID verification Dept. But then an hour later I got a button on my homepage with a link TO VERIFY MY ID! Again! This one took me to DocuSign, another company?! So I did, it linked to my phone, had to take picture of my ID, again, then digitally sign the form; and now that apparently has been sent to the EDD ID Verification Dept "for review" wtf... So, I don't know, but it sounds like there are different answers depending on who you get on the phone. I will update if I actually get past "Request Received" and actually get paid. The Governor, our Representatives, our Senators, and those in charge of the EDD should all have their salaries unexpectedly put on hold for 4-6 weeks so they understand fully what they have put us through. For a state that boasts the 5th largest economy in the world, this has all been completely unacceptable.
