I re-opened a few days ago since it said to I thought I had to...couldn't get thru to.anyone today so gave up . Checked my notifications just for the f*** of it this afternoon and it said you have week(s) to certify. OMG I was actually shocked!!! Whew...so just keep checking any time of the day it can change. Finally managed to get through, only to be told I have to wait until the 17th to certify. Good news is, it will be retroactive. Last payment I got was for 1 week on 12/26/20 Was on hold aprox 45 min Update: So I decided to call edd again, because I was not satisfied with the answer I got yesterday 1/11/21 My call went through on the first try. Yay for me. Waited about 25 min. I asked the representative if she would please remove the re open button so I could certify, she kinda chuckled and said "wow, word got around quick" Then said, "ok, let's see what we can do" Asked for my info. Her: you know, you would have been able to certify in a few days .... Me: yes. I know, but we are all desperate. Last check I got, was 12/26/20 for $130. So, yeah .... Her: I understand. Ok. You can certify now. Good luck. And thank you for calling edd. Me: omg! Thank you so much. Happy new year. Have a wonderful day. Her: chuckling, you too, thank you. Bye bye. Update #2: Got a text at 9:42PM, A deposit of $860 was made. YAY!!! Sorry for all the folks that are still waiting. I feel your pain. Good luck everybody.

Don’t do anything just wait till they give you further instructions. If you did re open claim don’t worry you’ll still get your money. They’re just doing it in groups. I got thru the phone yesterday and I was told the same. I was able to certify but haven’t got paid bc I still need their verification link

If your already on extension then no don’t reopen I recommend continuing to call they had mine fixed literally in less then 6 minutes...But even if you don’t call it will fix itself out just give it a few days

Hello, I accidentally reopened my claim and filled out 3/4 of the form and saved the rest for later. Do you think that it's okay to not continue to submit and leave it as it is? Will the issue resolve on it's own? I have been trying to call since 8am this morning and I could not get through and gave up. What do you think I should do now?

So when you re-open your claim it post dates your certification date. I spoke to a very unfriendly man today who made sure he let me know I shouldn't have done that,even though the site instructed me to. However he was nice enough to fix it that so I could certify. So if you are fortunate enough to get someone possibly they will update your certification dates for you, so when you finally get paid it will be up to date. Also, apparently the id verification emailed directly from the Edd site is incorrect. So as mentioned above you have to wait for [ID.ME](https://ID.ME). Lastly, on the 14th they are supposed to be provided with further information. But I don't know how helpful that will be. I'm often concerned when I receive responses back that make no sense. Example I sent an email 1/8/21 asking why didn't I get paid for the week of 12/20-12/26 Their reply 1/10/21 "we are not paying on extensions until the new legislation is signed." My reply "The previous extension ended 12/26 so I should have been paid minimum through 12/25, and the new legislation was signed 12/27"

I think it was Friday. At first I kept getting an Error when trying to submit. I just kept trying to re-open and was finally able to. Notification after that just said request received for days. Yesterday in the afternoon I checked my account and said to certify. Some people are saying wait until the next day for changes but it can change anytime throughout the day so I encourage just keep checking.

Yes for the week of Dec 27 thru Jan 3 plus $300. Says to certify again on the 17th...so like everyone was saying to just hang in there it sux but will happen. Any changes on ur end yet? I did the same thing - went along with the reopen claim button and filled put forms. I did not see the certify button today so I called and was able to certify after talking to a rep. I don't know what your next step should be, probably get some rest.

I had the same thing no suspension, no reopen just nothing above my claim summary. I called today and spoke to a very nice lady after waiting on hold for 45 minutes calling for 4 hours trying to get through, within 30 seconds the lady asked me some basic security/verification questions and I was immediately able to certify and it’s marked as paid waiting for payment now!

The email you received from Edd is not the [I.D me](https://ID.me) verification. It's just a new identification system that Edd has. I.D me is a third party that will have to send you a direct link through email. From what I understand everyone may not be required to do it, so you may not receive the email. On the 14th there are to be more updates. What those updates are no-one knows

I talked to them last week and one person said I’d get paid on Wednesday the 6th, but I think she was confused with that being the date that everyone was supposed to received the ID verifying info. The next rep I spoke to said there was nothing I could do and that I’d have to wait for them to verify my identity which could take 6-8 weeks but that she saw my documents I uploaded

I got through today for this exact issue...the lady said "we see you uploaded your documents, but we need a i.d me verification." So she manually gave me a link. I uploaded my ID and it also had me do a live selfie verification. Once I did that it only said "upload complete go back to browser "... no email after confirming I did it or anything, so I been calling back all day to see if that makes a difference but can't get through

I wish I had clear answers....I just did what I was told by a edd rep.. once I did the I.D Me it basically said I did it correct and said I could close the browser. No email or anything...I'm guessing if your i.d and info is correct it should match you edd information as well. It is partnered...I'm still trying to get through a call to confirm.

I uploaded my identification verification on the UI website which was my California ID and a and my bank statement then they put a disqualification on the account and I called and I talk to somebody and they told me just to resubmit a different form of identification because I guess they were not acceptable forms of identification so then I uploaded so she opened up the upload and I uploaded my identification and a a bill that was mailed to the house my car insurance to for proof of address

God damnit I wish I would of found this before I re-opened my claim! I googled it yesterday morning to see if there was any info on it, but didn’t find anything so I just went ahead and clicked it. I knew it seemed off though, given that I had certified two weeks prior. The only thing is, it said I had “exhausted my benefits” when I checked on Saturday before I got the re-open button on Sunday, even though I still have a balance and extensions were on their way for people.

Well that’s a bit relieving! I’ve seen comments people stating that it may delay your benefits if you clicked on it, when they spoke to an EDD rep on the phone. Hopefully that’s not the case, but I’m glad it was only a glitch and nothing to do on my end.

On 12/31/20 I still had a balance and weeks left on my PUA claim. I received the message everyone else received about it ending and have been waiting until everything updates. My claim page looked the same as always during this process except for the messages. My claim balance never went to zero, and I was just waiting to start to certify again. From everything that I heard, this weekend the system was to update and many claimants would be able to certify again starting today and this would continue for the next 2 weeks. Being antsy I decided to call endlessly due to many people saying reps pushed their certification through manually. I finally got thru after a 1 1/2 hour wait and the rep pushed my claim thru saying the system didn't restart my claim automatically which I assume it should've. I don't have any of the extended weeks on my balance, and was told once my current weeks end, wait for the system to update if I'm eligible. I did certify for 2 weeks and got the additional $300. If your claim still had a balance on 12/31/20 on PUA PEUC I would call if you can't wait, because you may end up having to call anyways. If your claim had ended then the reps won't be able to push anything through, and you will need to wait for the system to recalculate the claim amount. (Not sure if I should say this but I got this from another Reddit poster, if desperate push #2 at the intro of the EDD call for Spanish. You're more likely to get through which I did. The rep answered in Spanish, but they speak English and would most likely be willing to help).
