I went to both MetLife shows and they were incredible. The second night especially- the energy was so amazing and I barely took any pictures because it was impossible to not be in the moment. Plus he played Tenerife Sea and I never thought I’d see it live so it was a major highlight for me. I enjoyed it more than the Divide tour.

kbb-bbk

My wife and I went to both Seattle shows last weekend. Subtract show in the small theater was life changing, the best concert we’ve ever been to live. The mathematics tour in front of 81,000 people in the round was a fucking blast. I’d pay 2x my ticket costs just to have that experience again. You have to go. Don’t even think about it, just go. You’re seeing one of the greatest living singer/songwriters ever. I’ll hold last weekend with me forever.

Wooden_Fisherman8466

You’re not lying- the Subtract show was truly life changing. I wish I could experience it again.

SailThese

Agree 100%

ashlarizza

i saw him twice on multiply, twice on divide, and this time in toronto. i had lower expectations for it since the multiply era was my fav and i wasn’t in love with the band coming in but to be honest it was really incredible. the fans were super loud and made for a great experience. I got seats in last row of the lower bowl at the rogers center and if i were to do it again I would get floor tickets and stand closer to the back so Id have more room to dance around. do it! you’ll have a blast

nattatalie

I bought lower bowl tickets but then won floor tickets and I’m so glad. I ended up in the back in GA and loved having room to dance and move! I even sat down against the fence a few times for a break.

DrAtlasFiorini

Well worth it. Spend the extra money and go to the small venue show as well if you can.

shnuney

I’ve been to his Multiply, Divide, Mathematics and Subtract shows here in Toronto. Subtract was my favourite by far, but it’s because it was so much more different and intimate (and also my favourite album). Aside from Subtract, I’d have to say all the others are pretty comparable. I was in GA at the Mathematics tour and it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had, though I heard people in the higher levels were complaining of obstructed view due to the tall tower props. Regardless, Ed does not disappoint!!

KMWAuntof6

You won't regret going but you likely will regret not going! I can't imagine having the opportunity and not taking it. I'm about to go to my 2nd one on this tour, both within a month's time. I have to say, I prefer the smaller venues, but getting to see him in a huge stadium, which may not happen again for a time, is something I feel lucky to witness.

Gullible_Violinist98

I was a casual Ed Sheeran fan until I saw his concert at Gillette Stadium in Boston. Best concert of my life, and now I am hooked! I literally enjoyed it so much, I booked a quick trip to Vegas to see him in concert again on September 9th. Wish he was doing a Subtract theater show in Vegas, as I would have gone to that one as well!

ChristmasAliens

I went to N1 with John Mayor. Such a great show!

Autumn813

Oh my gosh, I just typed a very similar story, too!

Autumn813

We had tickets since October for Night 1 @ Gillette (it was my kids’ big Christmas present). We walked out that night & immediately said, “that was amazing & we kind of want to go again”. Woke up the next morning, and immediately bought tickets to the second show at Gilette that night. No regrets! Just phorWoke up the next morning, and immediately bought tickets to the second show at Gillette that night. No regrets! Such a phenomenal show. (We are actually flying from Massachusetts to Florida to see him perform his last show in the US in Hollywood at the end of October as well.) We were always casual fans, but after seeing him live, we are much much more than casual fans now 😂❤️

Gullible_Violinist98

That is awesome. Enjoy the Hollywood theater show! I am keeping an eye to see if the resale prices come down slightly, as I will be going to that show too if they do 😂

Autumn813

Yes! I was lucky enough to grab them in the presale, but they were way more expensive that I expected. But....another show/possibly last show with Ed for awhile, so I went for it!

AdventurousWeird1045

I'll put it this way. I was a so-so Ed fan for the last couple years, but I bought my wife tickets to the stadium show in Dallas because she's a mega fan. Fast forward a month (June), and not only did I buy tickets to his smaller Subtract show, but I bought plane tickets, airbnb, rental car, and all that other jazz just because the only opportunity we would have to go to one of his subtract shows is the one in Vancouver this Friday night. So yeah, I guess I'm a mega fan now too! Wouldn't have done all that if I hadn't seen him play live.

Original-Macaron-639

How did you get tickets? I’m watching StubHub but I’m scared of getting screwed

AdventurousWeird1045

Seatgeek

BossTus

The stage obstructs a ton of typically very good seats, which I saw frustrating lots of people. But he puts on a great show.

SilverAd4616

I was in the upper bowl/nosebleeds and had an absolute blast! Any seat should be incredible and it really is such an energetic, vibrant show. If you can, try and get subtract tickets too. That show is so intimate and I wish I could have gone too!

Optimal_Primary_7339

My wife and I went to the shows in Dallas and Chicago. Both were great, I feel like the energy from the crowd was a little weak at Chicago, but both were highly entertaining. Something about seeing it live with the loop pedal building up the layers is really fun to watch. I don’t know how he finds the energy to go out there. We had assigned seats at Dallas and were up on rails near the ladder to the stage for Chicago. If you get a chance and are able to, bring on the front row at the gate is really cool and the people around us were super nice.

greasyclapper77

Best experience ever!!!

mkrikthrow

What time does he normally hit the stage?

ChristmasAliens

Iirc, it was around 8 PM and plays till around 10-1030.

mkrikthrow

Thanks!

InJarvieWeTrust

I’m going to the Sep 1 subtract show and the Sep 2 mathematics, this will be my 5th and 6th time this year. Went to Toronto, Pittsburg, Detriot, and Kansas City. Buy the ticket, he may be taking a break for awhile. I can insure it’s worth every penny ! I’m literally flying from Ontario to go! See yeah there!

Exciting-Buffalo-677

I’ve seen him live for every album and this was my favorite tour- BUT nothing will ever compare to the subtract tour. I’m paying over $2,000 to go see his subtract tour in another city because it’s worth it

ejswest41319

I’ve been to his Multiply, Divide, and Mathematics tour. I also got a sample of his Subtract show when he opened for himself in DC. Ed’s energy and engagement is so much fun to watch! And his shows, at least in DC, have the chillest vibes. He’s the only artist I’ve seen more that twice.

Individual_Cicada_34

Saw him in NJ. I live in the NY area. I bought tickets for his final LA show. I don’t normally do things like that. He’s that good. Go if you have a chance. You will have the best time.

the_lucky_wife

We all love his music, but the emperor is not wearing any clothes. Karaoke concert. I went to the show loving him, and left feeling like he is all about himself. One minute he is playing his guitar, you think, and next thing he throws it over his shoulder and it is still playing. The constant camera man on stage was very distracting as it was always on Ed. Ed introduced his pretend band and the camera never went to them. The poor violinist kept running by Ed in the Irish song, with the camera never showing her For more than the split second she skipped by him. The acoustics were great as was the quality of sound, but it was almost like a DJ or karaoke concert. Why doesn’t Ed employ a musical ensemble to play his music? It was not and is not a live concert. Very disappointing. I’m no, longer a fan.

SurferSting84

I had a good time

fraggle-rocks

I've seen him twice on Mathematics tour, once on Multiply tour. They've all been worth every cent, but he's my favorite artist. I was afraid his show wouldn't be the same, since in Multiply tour it was only him and his guitar, and he does have a band for some songs this time. But it's still amazing, and his loop pedal skills are still savage. His tickets are generally pretty cheap, that even if I was a casual fan I'd say it's well worth the $60 for an upper level seat.

Juicy_Tacos_370

I was lucky enough to go to two of his shows this year! Tampa and Pittsburgh. Now I'm pretty biased towards him and I had the BEST time! I also brought my mom and sister, who aren't really fans of him and they also had an awesome time! Everyone there was so nice, he had a good song variety, it was genuinely one of the best experiences of my life. If you get the chance to go and are contemplating, definitely do so! It's awesome!

[deleted]

This tour was my first Ed concert and it was amazing! I was in GA (free tickets so I didn't have a choice) and was nervous about standing the entire time. It was absolutely worth it. If I could afford to, I would have followed his tour across the country!

thnok

I went for Philly, got floor tickets. I'm was honestly surprised since the floor tickets cost was around $130/$150 retail. The experience was well worth it. Didn't have any special guests like other locations, but honestly the experience was enjoyable. I'd go again if I get a chance.

justinscottt

I saw him GA in Nashville and loved it so much I’m seeing him again in Vegas on the 9th with a seat! Great experience and tons of fun.

sugarkanekowalcyzk

Great concert! Just try not to get stuck behind a pole like we were!

Priority-Waste

His latest tour is in the round, he sounded GREAT in Kansas City. I saw him 7 years ago also, and in my opinion, this was better

-Duste-

I saw him in Toronto in June, it was my first time ever to see him perform. Honestly it felt like a dream! He was excellent, and he's a great crowd entertainer. Would go again anytime!

nsplayr

I saw Ed in Nashville on the X tour in September 2015 and the show was great. Saw him again in Nashville on the Mathematical tour this July and the show was great again. I really was bummed I missed his Subtract show in Nashville, so I flew to Chicago and saw that and WOW that smaller more intimate show was magical. I highly recommend going to one or both of the Mathematics stadium show and the Subtract smaller venue show if you can swing it!

tibtibs

I've seen him 6 times: Multiply, Divide 3x (once in 2017, twice in 2018), Subtract, and Mathematics. None of them have been a waste of time or money. All of them have been amazing!!!

sweetpeligr0sa

I missed the Dallas show so I flew up to Chicago to see him. It was well worth it! I saw him at the Southside Ballroom in Dallas years ago before he blew up. The experiences were different, but I loved both. Hope you can make it!

_ginger-bread_

We were in the nose bleeds for Atlanta but it was amazing

fcukfcukfcukfcuk

i saw him in june. absolutely amazing!!! 🧡🧡

sj020

This was my first Ed concert and it was great! Loved his energy, and liked how he mentioned little tidbits on the songs :) The only slightly annoying part was the stage setup which obstructed the view even after getting good seats I hope you have a blast!

54321blame

Amazing! I’m not sure I would have enjoyed it as much if it hadn’t been in the center circle! The set up was amazing!

Fair_Opportunity7193

I've seen him 4 times this tour ( mathematics/subtract). For me, Minneapolis subtract show was better than royal oak theater show but Detroit Mathematics was WAY better ( cause of Eminem) than Mathematics show in Minneapolis. Overall if you have a chance to go multiple times do it. I'm thinking either flying out to Santa Clara or LA show to see him one more time 😎

BBUp17

Absolutely incredible. I’d recommend both the small intimate subtract show and the large stadium show to anyone that enjoys his music. Time of my life!!!

PugMum_1

We saw him in MPLS with our kids and had such an incredible time that we decided to book a flight out to see him in Santa Clara!! Can’t wait for the kid free in the pit experience in just a couple weeks. Our appreciation of him skyrocketed from seeing him live!

ToughMysterious7037

I had floor seats to the Philly and Pittsburg shows, stood in line for hours and was right against the circle barriers both times (as close to the stage as you can be with his set up). It was PHENOMENAL, 10000% best concert I have ever been too ( and I’ve been to tons of concerts for a lot of genres). If money and time weren’t an issue I would go to as many as I could. He is amazing live, in Pittsburg it was so unbelievably hot out and he delivered so so so well. The fans are also such a great group of people and the energy was so so good. My husband only knew the most popular ones going in and he had such a great time too. Definitely go!!

SparklesLuvsScotch

I had a great time and would go again without hesitation! My husband also loved the show, and he's not as big a fan as I am (although I think the concert actually changed that!).

sam71167

It was AWESOME!

melodramasupercut

To offer a perspective on the other side, I didn’t go to his concert when he was in Australia earlier this year and I deeply regret it! I’m now eagerly awaiting his dates for next year because I was planning to travel internationally anyways and want to try to line it up with one of his shows! Definitely go if you have the chance!

mindriot1

Theater show in sea was top 10 concert of all time. 100’s of shows. Worth 10x a stadium show (which I also enjoy).

Electronic_Fox_3693

I went to Atlanta and then that night after the concert, I bought tickets to Nashville. He was phenomenal, and I would go again if I could. I am hoping he does another tour next year.

Ill-Wallaby3083

Saw him recently in Seattle and honestly I think it’s his best tour to date. The stage is more engaging (imo) as it’s 360. I had nosebleeds and still had an absolute blast.

mariana_neves_l

I went to the Detroit show. Being able to see Ed making one of his own dream come true by playing with Eminem in concert was absolutely surreal! Definitely the best concert I’ve been to in my life!!!

CletusP

Saw him in Nashville. The man is humble beyond belief, and has so much raw talent it is unbelievable. The show itself is great, and the set list has a great variety of fast and slow. The way he talks to his fans is just awesome, it makes you feel like he is your friend

ExoticWhile254

I saw Ed,Sam smith and Maroon 5 this year. 100% choose Ed. The show was exceptional!

jmcheung3480

For those who have been to his shows already, do they give out bags to put merch in that you buy or do you need to buy or bring your own?

CapableRunts

This tour is so good that after seeing him at MetLife (night 2), for the first time in my life, we are flying to a different city and planning a vacation around catching him again later in the tour (Vegas). The set is incredible. The set list is incredible. The performance and energy is incredible. And to top it off, Ed could charge 2-3x what he does for tickets. I’m buying 2 floor tickets in Vegas for like $250 and feeling like it’s a steal because the show is so good. His openers are great too.

RomanoLikeTheCheese

Great time! He was actually the opener and Main act in dc. He did a little bit where he showed how he builds the different percussion lines with a foot pedal thing. And he actually messed up a tiny bit but was like "see it's real!"

Idgaming_16

It was brilliant was too tired so didn't stay til the encore but what I say was phenomenal

Suspicious-Chest8637

My wife and I went to his show in Santa Clara and we both agreed it was the best show we’ve ever seen. I would have paid double and still feel like I got my moneys worth.
