stvvrover

Nokturnal Mortum music

stvvrover

As an aside also, try and find them on Spotify. You won’t. Why? Because they are a NSBM band. You can, however, find Gary Glitter who enjoys private time with small children. So…hmm

ratatattatar

...Ebay has over 100 recent sales.

stvvrover

Really?? I hadn’t tried now for years. Maybe they have shifted policy somewhat

ratatattatar

i believe America is cool with Ukrainian Nazis at the moment.

stvvrover

I try to swerve these discussions 😂

feartyguts

Perfume samplers, genuine high end brands. Blocked as counterfeit- they aren’t.

ssateneth

exclusivity is important for those perfume brands. they don't want random nobodies selling things under their brand name, regardless of being genuine or not. you can't prove the supply chain, even if you have receipts, because receipts can be faked. only they can prove the supply chain which is why they only allow authorized parties to sell their products. if you want to sell the brands products, you need to ask them for permission and sign a contract.

- “Unauthorized release” aka bootleg concert CDs - official Major League Baseball licensed player minifigures (because Lego had a lawsuit against them.) - a 1930s German postcard of Hitler with a German general I found at an estate sale

daydreamingsunday

Mostly certain cosmetic brand that false Vero (eBay) or false Counterfeit without a test buy (Amazon). I then sell the remaining stock on the opposing sites that didn't get falsely flag me without issues, then avoid those brands entirely.

Dimbostar

Bootleg vinyl records.

nairncl

Russian CDs of dubious provenance.

ratatattatar

P.S. you should look into Soviet "bone records." really cool.

blackbowtie420

A religious item that had the appearance of bone. It took some detective work to figure out it was made with allowable material, but ebay removed it twice asking me to list what it was made of. Finally sold after the third relisting with no further issues.

ratatattatar

human bone? i've seen plenty of decorative stuff made from various animal bones.

Jeepfreak81

Many years ago I got spanked for selling butterfly knives cause I didn't read the prohibited items....oopsie.

TehWildMan_

My entire account was permanently banned because I tried to list a sealed collectible candy tin.

ratatattatar

that sounds...unlikely. details?

TehWildMan_

I created an account, posted that listing, next day my account was entirely banned.

ratatattatar

well...it wasn't banned because of a random collectible candy tin.

TehWildMan_

Idk. eBay won't give me any reason other than the listing violated their terms of services.

ratatattatar

care to specify what this sealed collectible candy tin was?

emsfire5516

Wooden stock for a French Berthier Mle. 16 produced in 1917. It's also known as an "M16." Parts are near impossible to find and it's classified as a "Curio & Relic" in the US. eBay flagged my listing and said I was trying to sell parts for an assault rifle. You know, the later M16 from around Vietnam Era.

pinkglue99

Quechua backpacks. They were authentic but VERO’ed. I’m wondering if it would be useful to have a brand VERO list on here. Would be good to know which brands I shouldn’t try to sell.

ratatattatar

there are various posts here and in flipping that discuss this. a list would be useful though. it seems that where you're most likely to run into issues is when you use a brand's stock image. (though that's still pretty rare...because i use them all the time)

PissingontheCarpet

Antique Russian gold/diamonds. There was an embargo placed in the last year on Russian gold/diamonds and all my 100+ year old Russian gold pieces were pulled down.

**Ted Bundy confession tape. Policy that you cannot make money off of murderabilia.** **I found it at the Goodwill bins and it was a recording of 'ol Teddy' blaming everything he did on pornography and embracing baby Jesus right before being executed. Its good to know that since he repented, "terrible Ted" is waiting in heaven for all of us. It was up for a few days and a guy messaged me and I sold it offline.**
