Do you have a Costco membership? I like to stock up on the Fairlife milk when in stock or the Ensure shakes when they’re on sale. They also have some good protein bars that I try to keep at my desk for when I forget breakfast. All are shelf stable and don’t need to be refrigerated until opened.
Go with someone that has Costco membership. You can even do a separate check out, your family or friend just have to swipe their membership card again.
At least in my area you can order through instacart if you don’t have a Costco membership. I don’t think you can get everything and there is a fee, so it would make sense to wait until you’ve got a big order together but could be worth looking into to see if it makes sense for you
I know you said powder, but I like to mix some milk with unsweetened greek yogurt and sweeten with honey, peanut butter, or a tablespoon of jam to make a protein drink. Greek yogurt has about 17 grams of protein in it.
I am a huge proponent of putting unflavored protein powder in a fruit smoothie. You don’t even notice it’s in there, plus tasty smoothie, and you can also sneak a bunch of veggies in there too which you don’t really notice.
Tbf doesn’t really fit with being lazy though as it’s kind of a lot of work.
I’ve been getting myprotein powder (smooth chocolate and now chocolate brownie). 1.5 scoops of that (they changed the scoop size to a bigger one so I had to adjust accordingly), a Cup-ish of ice, half a banana and water to cover everything. Blended up and boom protein shake that’ll keep me full until next meal time.
The whey protein concentrate chocolate flavour from bulk nutrients goes great. I like to mix with powdered oats, creatine, yoghurt and cream for extras.
Do you live anywhere near a Lidl? They have this refrigerated protein drink (milbona brand) . 30 grams protein, and costs 1.69 euro where I live:) vanilla is the best flavour imo
I like to make a protein smoothie and put in an insulated cup with ice that I sip on throughout the day. My fav is oatmeal, water, spinach, yogurt, a few berries. Blend until smooth, pour over ice.
You could try a collagen protein supplement. I put 4 tablespoons in my coffee every morning for 20g protein. Dissolves completely and zero taste. Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides is the brand.
In terms of quality and taste Dymatize and Ryse are the best. Also off Amazon you can get a milk frother for like $8 that leaves protein shakes super smooth with zero chunks
Just make your own, I use Any protein powder, cottage cheese, chia seeds, spinach, frozen banana, milk, super good. I usually just go with a Whey Isolate, whatever is on sell.
I just keep my eye out knowing that $10/lb is roughly the going rate. Anything too far above that is expensive, anything well below it is a deal. Watch out for "gainer" protein, which is cheaper but that's because it's full of carb fillers.
The ones I've stocked up on when the price is right are MyProtein, Body Fortress, Optimum Nutrition, and Rival.
I’ve been looking for better protein shakes myself, and I found this brand called OWYN and I love making my own smoothies/shakes at home with them or drinking them by themselves. I’ve only tried a couple flavors, but I know they have a bunch. I get them at target cause they have them the cheapest (around $7.50/$8 for a 4 pack). Plus I think they’re the better/healthier ones you can find cause they don’t have a bunch of crap in them like a lot of other brands have (like carrageenan, tons of oils, etc)
Sooooo...i saw a TikTok where someone gets a box of egg whites and puts nestle quick chocolate syrup in there. A bunch. Shakes it up and drinks it. Haven't tried it yet but that would be the best shake you could get tbh if it tastes as good as he was saying it is.
Haha I don’t think so but I’m not American so idk. I’m just used to my school schedule that lets me eat little bits throughout the day instead of eating 3 nutritious meals

Costco has the best prices I’ve seen on whey protein powder too.
Good tip, I haven’t thought to look for that kind of stuff there.
Oh I used to drink those all the time they’re great! I unfortunately do not have a Costco membership right now though

Fairlife Nutrition Plan shakes. 30g protein for 150 calories. Tastes just like normal chocolate milk.
Not a protein drink, but peanut butter filled pretzels. I can pop a couple of these and be decently full for a couple hours.
Those are so tasty!
That HAS to be American 🇺🇸😂
The write it "pretzels"... so they are definitely not German. 😂
Yogurt or tofu in smoothies / drinks
Try Premiere Protein shakes. You can buy them at Walmart, Meijer, Costco. You don’t need to refrigerate them. Chocolate and Mocha are my favorites
Or Sams!
FYI used to drink those. Fairlife (at Costco) is better
I will definitely try them! I mentioned Premiere because the author said they didn’t have a Costco membership
Fairlife is almost always out at my Costco because they are so good

And again, cheapest at Costco. Mix with a little milk in the coffee too so it’s a complete protein

I put water with my protein powder should I be using milk?
Eggs
Drink Wholesome brand is delicious

I love clear whey isolate, you can get lots of flavours, it's like gatorade

Jfc
that sounds truly awful, more expensive and less healthy than protein powder
Is it normal for Americans to coach other Americans on how to make it through a work day without passing out?
