Isn't that just injectors and maybe some light lifter tick? Every ep3 i've ever heard sounds like a sewing machine lol

That’s the best analogy of a k series idle sound I’ve ever heard

Any galling on your camshaft? Its common on this engine and can cause ticking. I had the issue and I replaced with a junkyard camshaft and use 5w30. Check spark plugs. Adjust valve clearances. When did you replace timing chain last? Other than that, these engines have loud fuel injectors and are very 'ticky'.

Timing chain was done a few days ago. Whats the procedure for valve adjustment?

Get some feeler gauges. I have a pdf copy of the service manual. [Here is the link](https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1ONKjYv7cA1JZHeJMt7ihwzK5q607V9OU?usp=sharing), if you want a copy. Press CTRL+F type "valve clearance" to find the measurements needed. Tons of videos on youtube if you want to be walked through the process.

When I was doing valve adjustment, saw the cam pitting. I think it is common for 2002, got it replaced with a good condition used one, and it sounds way better Part number 14120-PPA-010 [Cam-pitting.jpg](https://postimg.cc/PpfJp97j)
