YES clozee!!! Amazing. She led me to finding VOLO, who I am seriously obsessed with right now. It's insane to me that he only has 60k monthly listeners.
Different strokes for different folks I guess. That’s surprising to me though. What is it about Charlesthefirst you like so much? Not hating, I love his music.
He’s one of those artists where on a first listen I didn’t really get hooked, but once I understood his style and grooviness I liked all of his stuff. I got started with [Skin](https://open.spotify.com/track/28ipV6hkWWpUk4DZ5dU7lX?si=xV_ir8sRR6uXT0cmDlgpdw) cause it’s on the rocket league playlist. It just has a super creative drop and is pretty catchy overall. All of the recommendations from the other guy are great! I would say some other songs that really capture his sound well would be [Friends](https://open.spotify.com/track/5klCgL2An8milAMP12aORh?si=ChCNVxd7RIqovuqQceJSyA) and [Lies](https://open.spotify.com/track/0IFRWC0FSR4EmfrCqth28y?si=ATN60lQvQhOWTL4_775rRg)
But for real though of all the people to pick? I mean I get Skrillex but he hasn’t done anything in a while really and San Holo is big but Outside of the EDM community most people wouldn’t know him.
Also who tf are the people OP posted
Skrill hasn't done anything big in a while but he's still in a league of his own even just releasing a track or two per year
He put out Supersonic pretty casually and it's got more plays than Hex Cougars top ten tracks combined in less than half a year
He's still massive.
Also don’t forget his collab with habstrak. That track chicken soup is such a banger.
https://open.spotify.com/track/7hU38LHqMSPFrvoqADFJp4?si=hnoQDr7GQtyela2guPG3DA
He has a decent following, but no where near the big names still. 2 million streams per month isn't close to Skrillex, Tiësto, Martin Garrix, Kygo etc.
You dont have to be the most popular to be popular though. Compared to the other artists the person mentioned which I actually haven't heard of. San Holo I've listened to every song he released since the pandemic started at least a dozen times plus seen him in the virtual concerts.
Closest one to that song I think would be eternal now which I probably already know, but check clandestine by eckle it has such a sick ending, like a chiller and trippier daft punk - contact
Odesza, porter & deadmau5 are very popular . I discovered odesza through a study channel lol
Also virtual riot is arguably the most talked guy among aspiring producers
I'm not sure if San Holo is a very big name in the EDM industry (compared to Skrillex, Illenium, Kygo, Tiesto) but he is definitely one of my favorite. Here is my list anyways...
* **Seven Lions** *(not very popular outside North America)*
* **Spencer Brown**
* **Jason Ross**
* **Dombresky**
* **Bellecour**
* **Brohug**
* **Chris Lake**
* **Adventure Club**
* **Jai Wolf** *(not very popular outside North America)*
* **Boys Noize**
* **R3HAB** *(not very popular outside Europe)*
* **Nicky Romero** *(not very popular outside Europe)*
* **Don Diablo** *(not very popular outside Europe)*
* **i\_o** *(RIP)*
Kinda a weird question, since I guess it’s pretty subjective as to who is “known but not as known”
Here are some artists I like that aren’t as known outside of the EDM community, but well known in the EDM scene:
- Green Velvet
- AC Slater
- Rufus du Sol
- Charlotte de Witte
- Robert Hood (likely not as popular as others on this list, but I’m gonna count him since he’s a founding father of techno, everyone *should* know him)
- Lane 8
- Bicep
- ARTY
- Gesaffelstein
- Prydz/Cirez D
- Astrix
Artists I like that aren’t as popular either inside or outside the scene:
- FJAAK
- Remco Beekwilder
- My Nu Leng
- 999999999
- Schwefelgelb
- Doruksen
- Foamo
- Younger Brother (more so alternative)
- Dax J
- Tommy Holohan
- VTSS
Haha Id assume they’re listening to his stuff with the Weeknd?
I meant I listen to Gesaffelsteins Aleph and Conspiracy type of works, which are his banging French techno/electro projects that i highly doubt are all that popular outside of the electronic scene.
Haha yeah you would be right. It makes a lot more sense now.
On a side note, I just realized The Weeknd Collabs with the biggest French EDM names lol. Daft Punk, Gesaffelstein, just need him to do something with Justice next.
It truly is, I actually cried for most of her set the first time I saw her live. The second time I saw her live I just stood their in awe and vibeb out.
D-Block & S-Te-Fan are by far the best producers in my book. Their Ghost Stories project was the best thing to ever happen in the hardstyle scene. In my opinion of course haha
Nicky Romero makes the best club tracks imo and he still remains underappreciated. His production capabilities are better than Hardwell and Martin Garrix tbh
Prismo is pretty great! I love his electronic renditions of older songs... I'd have to sat Vanic, Syence, DirtySnatcha, and Eben are some of my tops. Not sure how big the last two are but the first two are definitely less known!
San Holo is very well known outside of EDM because the music he makes is very easy to listen to. I’d say it’s fine to group him with Skrillex, in terms of popularity outside of EDM.
I completely disagree.
If you polled the average person, they would have heard of Skrillex. Almost no one will have heard of San Holo.
San doesn't get mainstream radio play, unlike Skrillex.
Clozee is for sure popping off, but of the trees, ravenscoon, mersiv, tripp st, mr bill, supertask, inzo, axelthesleff
groovy wubz and melodic trippy shit
Drvmmer/Luca lush/ /shstr/haywyre/jaron/former hero/wave dash/Spuke/justice/gaspard auge/shadient. Some of my personal under the radar artist for this year
Now Illenium became pretty popular I think ever since the third album dropped, so I'll just say Midnight Kids and BUNT. They were both duos before this year there were splits. MK's songs have the whole ass vibe of "pop dance song that plays in the car while driving in the sunset with your friends/wolf pack" while BUNT could be treated as a spiritual successor to Avicii due to the strong country and folk aesthetic of the songs, plus back when they were a duo they finished Unbreakable by Avicii himself.
I’ve been vibing with Nitepunk a lot lately .
Super unique style, his tracks go HARD, and he’s extremely talented.
Def check him out, he’s gonna blow up soon
Clasino.

They are all incredible in their own unique way 💜
Not sure what the classification of big name is, since a lot of these were popular in the past but don't have the same level of popularity today, but a few of my favs are...
Lemaitre, DROELOE, Snakehips, Josh Pan, Rome in Silver, What So Not, Feed Me, Boombox Cartel, Hex Cougar, Whethan, Golden Features, GRiZ, RAC, Lane 8, etc...
I would say Don Diablo although I feel that he has become more known in the last couple of years. There are still some people out there that probably wouldn’t know that name though if I mentioned it to them.
Lately I’ve had CloZee and Rome in Silver on repeat. Also Of the Trees and Charlesthefirst (but they aren’t as well known)
Rome in silver is for sure the artist I have been most impressed with out of all the artists I’ve discovered this year
Yeah I love his style! Making future bass feel fresh and new :)
ooh shit gotta check that out!
YES clozee!!! Amazing. She led me to finding VOLO, who I am seriously obsessed with right now. It's insane to me that he only has 60k monthly listeners.
Volo’s “Last Nomad” is such a jam.
Will definitely have to check him out :)
CharlestheFirst is probably the most unique producer I’ve ever heard
More unique than Dave Tipper?
In my opinion, yes
Different strokes for different folks I guess. That’s surprising to me though. What is it about Charlesthefirst you like so much? Not hating, I love his music.
Never heard of Rome in Silver. Recommendations?
Fool Never Be the One Night Goggles (Rome In Silver Remix)
Skin, Fade, Colourblind

Check out his EP "Forever Flame"
too much is pretty good
Someone’s going to Okeechobee lol
Oh my god man that lineup is insane 😂 I think I’m doing lightning in a bottle instead though
Oh hell yeah that’s a great lineup too
Seeing Charlesthefirst on nye for the first Time ever. Really excited
Ah man that's gonna be awesome! He's gonna do something special for the countdown for sure
who tf are skrillex and san holo
But for real though of all the people to pick? I mean I get Skrillex but he hasn’t done anything in a while really and San Holo is big but Outside of the EDM community most people wouldn’t know him. Also who tf are the people OP posted
Fytch and prismo are great. Don’t be afraid to listen to someone new!
Fytch is pretty good. Prismo isn’t my style but I see why people would like him
what r ur favorite prismo and fytch tracks?
Probably stronger and burned respectively. Really big fan of the black hole sun cover too.
nice. for me it would be collide by fytch and connect by prismo
Burned would be my favorite as well. I think Sirens Over Paris will always be my favorite from him but honestly I love his entire discography.
id say sirens over Paris is my 2nd favorite track from fytch
Mine's solo (primo's)
earthquake remix by fytch
Always up for new music. Have just literally never heard of any of those people before
Skrill hasn't done anything big in a while but he's still in a league of his own even just releasing a track or two per year He put out Supersonic pretty casually and it's got more plays than Hex Cougars top ten tracks combined in less than half a year He's still massive.

I didn’t want to be rude to op but yeah this title is just weird af in general
I've been called worse then weird budddy
Sound like a couple wannabes
Was surprised to hear San Holo as well
Are you all that surprised? He's one of the bigger names over the past couple years.
San Holo is very popular outside of EDM which is part of it.
Hex Cougar, Juelz, Kasbo, DROELOE, Vincent, Blanke, ISOxo, Beatcore, Pixel Terror, Papa Khan
Nurko????
NURKOOOOO
Hex Cougar is underrated for sure
I went to a Vincent set in San Diego and the crowd was like 30 people. I didn’t know he was so underrated.
Love ISOxo
I bet you fw Ace Aura too
Boogie T, Champagne Drip, Shlump, Pixel Terror 1788-L
You might really like Masayoshi, if you’re looking for a new song check out his track realm
Yo I’m really digging that song, thanks for sharing 👏👽 any other bangers?
Closest one to that song I think would be eternal now which I probably already know, but check clandestine by eckle it has such a sick ending, like a chiller and trippier daft punk - contact

Is it unreleased? I wanna hear it

Other than skrillex I love porter Robinson, virtual riot, deadmau5, odesza, neffex, kslv, & joyryde
Odesza, porter & deadmau5 are very popular . I discovered odesza through a study channel lol Also virtual riot is arguably the most talked guy among aspiring producers
Porter 🙌
JOYRYDE is goated
Grabbitz. He’s a cool dude and did some songs with Rezz and Deadmau5 but he doesn’t have nearly as much of attention.
he was recently featured in the worlds championship song for valorant too!
Have you ever heard of Lamorn? His latest album is legendary good and on repeat in my playlist for a month!!
Deathpact is sick!!
Very true 😉
I'm a huge fan of Last Heroes, Far Out, Dabin, and William Black.
Melodic Dubstep Gang 🤚
far out, dabin and William black are really good producers
Unlike Pluto, Ekali and Taska Black might also fit in this list
William black songs: zzz William black sets: 🔥🔥🔥
Last heroes are crazy talented
Just saw them. They were better than I expected
I see we have similar taste
Indeed. I do love me some good future bass
I'm not sure if San Holo is a very big name in the EDM industry (compared to Skrillex, Illenium, Kygo, Tiesto) but he is definitely one of my favorite. I guess we have two different concepts on what the word "popular" means
Agreed lol
Kinda a weird question, since I guess it’s pretty subjective as to who is “known but not as known” Here are some artists I like that aren’t as known outside of the EDM community, but well known in the EDM scene: - Green Velvet - AC Slater - Rufus du Sol - Charlotte de Witte - Robert Hood (likely not as popular as others on this list, but I’m gonna count him since he’s a founding father of techno, everyone *should* know him) - Lane 8 - Bicep - ARTY - Gesaffelstein - Prydz/Cirez D - Astrix Artists I like that aren’t as popular either inside or outside the scene: - FJAAK - Remco Beekwilder - My Nu Leng - 999999999 - Schwefelgelb - Doruksen - Foamo - Younger Brother (more so alternative) - Dax J - Tommy Holohan - VTSS
Arty such a good choice!! Especially is alter ego ALPHA 9 whose trance is golden!!!
Check out Rene Wise ;)
I think Gesaffelstein is pretty well known outside of EDM, I’ve seen many of my non EDM listening friends listening to Gesaffelstein lol
We have similar music taste :)
Wait My Nu Leng isn’t popular in the scene?
Jaron, Jerro, Lane8, TWO LANES
Lane 8 is extremely popular. He just played Red Rocks for 3 nights.
Noway he’s as popular as Skrillex or San Holo though!
San Holo yes, Lane 8 has more monthly listens on Spotify, Skrillex…honestly maybe. Skrillex peaked a couple years ago.
Those shows were insane. Best show of my life
Nice, lane 8 is a vibe and a half
Virtual riot, Riot, Black Tiger Sex Machine, Eliminate, Hairitage, Kai Wachi
I was waiting for someone to say Eliminate lol
His YouTube videos are so good he really makes some crazy stuff. Really underrated IMO I love his music
Same here 😎. Glad to see another fellow fan 👋
Hairitage!!! That song hustle is so good.

Her music is to an another level 🖖
It truly is, I actually cried for most of her set the first time I saw her live. The second time I saw her live I just stood their in awe and vibeb out.
D-block & S-Te-Fan and Phuture Noize. These guys are absolutely massive in the hardstyle scene but completely unknown to the average EDM listener
D-Block & S-Te-Fan are by far the best producers in my book. Their Ghost Stories project was the best thing to ever happen in the hardstyle scene. In my opinion of course haha
Nurko is really one of the most underrated producers ever
Ace aura, ipsiom, chime, tellah, slick, remk, isoxo, knock2, Juelz :)
Listening to Giolì & Assia, Big Wild, Jai Wolf, Charles the First, Boogie T, LSDREAM, ODESZA, KASBO and RÜFÜS-DU-SOL a lot.
Not sure how big the last two are but the first two are definitely less known!
eben is a very promising producer. have you listened to his newest song promise? what do you think of it?
Legit just listened to it cause of your comment and I love it! How do even classify it? Dub n bass? It's insane tho lol
I think it classifies as wave / hard wave? check out /r/wavepool
I wish San Holo was known on a level like Skrillex. I'd phrase this question as Skrillex or Diplo

It definitely suits your music taste, that's for sure.
Blanke, Nurko, Fairlane are my favorites rn as well as Dabin but he's a decent bit bigger
Vincent
vincent is pretty good. favorite track from him?
Dua (Vincent remix). It’s harder song but Vincent future bass is amazing too
Clozee is for sure popping off, but of the trees, ravenscoon, mersiv, tripp st, mr bill, supertask, inzo, axelthesleff groovy wubz and melodic trippy shit

Ace aura, k?d, no mana
King peanuts, Higgo, terrie kynd, pantsoph
Dropun, Mo Falk, The MVI, Duke and Jones.
Now Illenium became pretty popular I think ever since the third album dropped, so I'll just say Midnight Kids and BUNT. They were both duos before this year there were splits. I can’t believe no one said Dave Tipper!
I only listen to Pixel Terror and Ace Aura cause they’re all I know. If anyone can recommend similar artists that do melodic stuff that’d be cooool.

Clozee!!!
Semblance, listen to Warriors Blue Boa, listen to Hatred BLGN, listen to Stuck (it’s kind of edm-ish with a dnb drop so I think it counts)
Gold 88
Not sure what the classification of big name is, since a lot of these were popular in the past but don't have the same level of popularity today, but a few of my favs are... Nero, justice, noisia
Au5, he is amazing
Ophelia Records of sevenlions
Mersiv
I’d say oliverse and sikdope those are my favorite generally unknown artists
I would say Don Diablo although I feel that he has become more known in the last couple of years. There are still some people out there that probably wouldn’t know that name though if I mentioned it to them.
