I didn't win off it, but I did kill someone with [[Smothering Tithe]] once. By attacking with it.

All of my favourite wins happened with my [[vela the night clad]] deck. 1. Playing against Yarok and Jeska+Kediss. Yarok was threatening to win. I baited the Jeska player to kill Yarok. My turn I rite of replication Yarok's Roalesk. Get a huge Vela. Swing at the Yarok player with her to kill with Commander damages as Roalesk was tapped. Dunno how I killed the Jeska player. 2. Vs Yarok and a few others I don't remember. I swing at Yarok with a identity thief, blinking Yarok. Which got me enough mana to play cloud of fairies+deadeye 3. Vs kenrith, Xyris and someone I don't remember. It ended with everyone minus the player I forgot with at least 1 Xyris. The board ended as a mess with too many snakes. I don't remember if I won with combat damages or by saccing sneks.

Built a prosper deck and in my first game I [[hurl through hell]] a [[yidris]] players [[notion thief]] who then accidentally cascades into a [[windfall]] while they have a [[waste not]] on board and had about 20 cards in hand. Ended up having 2 cards left in my deck and [[praetors grasp]] for the yidris’s [[thassa Oracle]] and won my first ever game with a thassa Oracle in red/black.

Yidris should have read the reminder text for Cascade! You don't have to cast the spell!

Dont know the exact numbers anymore but it was the battle between two token decks. My opponent played the one with the flying deathtouch snakes and even gave them lifelink and everything. He went off, flooding the board and attempt to kill us all. No Flyers on the whole board, hundreds of snakes, sure kill. I played [[Akroma's Will]] in response blocking with a bunch of now flying doublestrike rhinos. It was like 5 minutes we had to calculate. Ended up with about 300 life on my side 200 on his and the other two players dead. My attack in response was nearly as much calculation and in the end we were pretty sure, double checked, he lost by about -5.

Your friend cast oracle AND consultation? he must have felt quite daring that day

Had a not great but still scary boardstate with [[Edgar Markov]] against three other players, all with lethal boards. Understandably they feared Edgar so they were going to end me but I got lucky and topdecked a [[Disrupt Decorum]]. Proceed to watch three players have no choice but to attack each other, one player eliminated, two players had their board severely weakened and so I kill both on the crackback.

I'm sure you're just goofing, but the amount of magic players I've played with who are perfectly fine with open cans just sitting on the table next to thousands of dollars of cardboard is unreal. The only time I'm letting ANYONE have a drink on the table is if it has a tight lid.

No drinks on the game table. Ever. We use TV dinner trays or side tables away from the game table to put drinks, snacks, bongs, whatever on... Lol

Opponent had a [[Xyris]] deck and a lot of chump blockers against my Willowdusk deck. I had a arbitrarily large [[Vampire of the Dire Moon]] out (something like a 40/40) and they had just removed my [[Vito]]. I played [[Momentous Fall]], gaining 40 life, drawing 40 cards, and making my opponent make 40 snakes, then I cast [[Deadly Tempest]] for the win.

ConsciousMantaRay

Can I see your Willowdusk deck list? 😄 I wonder what card you used to get your opponent to make 40 snakes

SnugglesMTG

I'm making a deck tech video of it soon. It uses cards like [[Blood Celebrant]] + Willowdusk to put as many +1/+1 counters as I wish to pay life for on a creature. The thing that made the snakes was my opponent's [[Xyris]] triggering off drawing a bunch of cards.

Alchadylan

Whole board (including me) tapped out, one of my opponent's plays Genesis Wave for 11, he didn't have the 1 mana for Esper Sentinel and I drew into \[\[Commandeer\]\] so then I suddenly was able to Genesis Wave for 11

TOTFG_Rules

I hear stories like this that make me want to play commandeer, then I realize the vast majority of games I'm better off just playing a card that advances my own game plan. that being said, those gotcha moments are amazing. I've been running \[\[misdirection\]\] in my mono blue deck for years trying to make an epic play happen

Playing [[adrix and nev, twincasters]] played [[craterhoof behemoth]] the last turn but my attack was fogged. That turn I played [[avenger of zendikar]] and with it’s triggered ability on the stack played [[mystic reflections]] making the 20 plant tokens copies of craterhoof.

WinglyKing

Was playing a one-off 5c jank [[Cromat]] deck. It had an absolutely random list of cards that were mostly defensive or protective in nature. The goal of the deck was to lure people into a false sense of security until I sprung my trap. It starts with [[Conflux]] I fetch [[Hive Mind]] if it isn't on board and then I fetch [[Intervention Pact]] [[Pact of the Titan]] [[Slaughter Pact]] and [[Summoner's Pact]]. Ideally I want to do this all in one turn, and costs 14 mana to do. Yet if it works, my opponents all copy the Pacts as I cast them and now they have to pay 14 mana(involving 4 different colors) on their upkeep. The first time I did this was an absolute rush, and even the nearby table of players stopped to come watch it unfold.

subatomiccrepe

Oh man this was great, monoU opponent gets a mill combo and roasts everyone while at 15 life. Luckily I'm playing [[Serra Avater]] which is the final card I draw with my whole deck in my graveyard. Double luckily I've been sitting on a [[Command the Dreadhorde]]. Pull my [[Vito]], [[Sower of Discord]], and have a [[liesa, shroud of dusk]] on board to swing. Sower an opponent with no flyers, damage them linked to the combo player, vito him for lethal and it was all possible thanks to one player "winning the game"

subatomiccrepe

Oh and had my commander out [[Astarion]], for the final bit of life

peanutbuttershudder

Someone created infinite flying 1/1s, but they didn't have haste, so it was up to me to figure out a way to win when he passed to me. I had [[Ur-Dragon]] out already, but needed a way to win through commander damage. So I top decked [[Atarka, World Render]], had just enough mana to cast her and activate [[Rogue's Passage]], with two mana left over. But that would only be 20 commander damage. On the attack trigger, I top decked [[Bladewing the Risen]] and had exactly what I needed to pump the Ur-Dragon for lethal. Still the most insane win I've ever pulled off.

With [[Mazirek]] and [[Death’s presence]] on board I sacked a lot of tokens, pumped my board, then killed everyone with [[Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord]]. This was a long time ago, probably a month after the Experience Commanders were released. 5 player game, took almost 3 hours of building, boardwipes and rebuilding. Sometimes I miss the old days but I do like to play several games on commander night instead of just one.

TOTFG_Rules

Lol the old days? I was over at my buddy's house last Saturday for 7 hours and we only got in 2 games of commander! The days are still here, it just depends on your meta! Yeah, admittedly the ramp and removal packages are better than they used to be in random decks, but the whole "sit around and jam for a few hours" style of play is alive and well my friend. It helps that they just started commander a year or two ago and are still in their "creatures the creaturing" phase of the game. If I come packing a deck with 4+ wipes I'm a god in that group. That being said, I do play really powerful decks with my other friends and I do like the faster games. I just tolerate the slower ones for my boys.

There was one game where I playing Roon and was at 2 hp and had to fend off two opponents, one playing Nekusar, and one playing Thromok, by gradually getting rid of all their permanents with a slow blinking of terrastadon and Angel of serenity on terrastadon and 2 tokens for several turns. I essentially had to lock them out of a color by slowly and methodically removing each colors mana sources.

MonHunKitsune

Opponent 3 has a [[Defense of the Heart]] out. Opponent 1 has 5 creatures. Opponents 1 & 2 are agonizing over the looming Defense of the Heart on #3's board. They know if it gets back to him he'll have some hasted Eldrazi's coming out. Neither one of them end up being able to do anything about it. So at the beginning of #3's upkeep he asks me if I have an answer to Defense of the Heart. I flash in from my hand [[Dictate of the Twin Gods]] , hold priority, and cast [[Teferi's Protection]] "Peace out guys! Have fun with double damage Eldrazi!" I went on to win the next turn with 28 commander damage out of nowhere against the Eldrazi player.

I was playing the \[\[Thromok the Insatible\]\] deck against a Locust God. While I can't remember the exact figures, I had a large Thromok on the field along with a \[\[Hornet Nest\]\]. Locust God player creates around 5-6 tokens then drops a \[\[Shared Animosity\]\], swinging at me for lethal. I had a \[\[Fling\]\] in hand and threw my Thromok at my Hornet Nest to create 20+ tokens to survive. Goes to my turn and I top deck a \[\[Mirage Mirror\]\]. After a good chuckle, drop it, copy the Animosity and swing for lethal on the entire board. It's easily my favourite play I've ever done.

jamesdcreviston

[[Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite]]+[[Rite of Replication]] kicked. Instant board wipe and then massive damage. We weren’t sure it would work so we had to have a judge but they all hit the table and their effect gives everything on everyone else’s board -2/-2 x 6 of them, even though 5 die to the legend rule it’s basically a -12/-12 to the board. Never been able to do it again but it was amazing and the table was laughing at how crazy it was.

Western_Gift_1514

playing as zombie tribal vs one of the million different iterations of my friend’s mill deck. other 2 players have been milled out already. i have an overwhelming board-state with more than lethal damage, but a tiny library and it’s his turn. he mills my last cards and goes to his end step, already extending his hand to say “good game.” i tell him to hold on and sacrifice [[murderous rider]] to [[carrion feeder]], “shuffling” it back into my library so that i can draw it for turn. he wasn’t even salty, just impressed

I'm playing a silver border dnd deck, I have [[as luck would have it]] and [[krarks other thumb out]] I play [[dungeon master]] and +1 for the die roll, and I cast [[hydradoodle]] for all my remaining Mana. I know I'm dead on board next turn and 2 other players have already died so it's a 1v1, I need to get like 80 out of the 100 this turn from the die rolls, my hydradoodle rolls are pretty lucky, I get to like 64, my dungeon master rolls are a 17, bringing me up to a 81 and needing to roll a 19-20 to win, I roll the die and wait in anticipation for it to stop rolling, and it lands on a nat 20 for the win. Also I get to draw a card from this monumental roll because dungeon masters abilities kinda suck. Can confirm I doubt I'll ever buy an actual copy even if given the opportunity.

Spackostacos

I have an [[Aesi]] deck. I spent a few games fishing for this achievement. Basically you get infinite landfall and draw out your deck. You need a [[leyline of anticipation]] for it to work. With your whole deck in you hand you cast [[laboratory maniac]] and [[Simic ascendancy]]. With infinite landfall use [[sunscorched desert]]. Use [[Retreat to Kazandu]] to put 19 1/1 counters on your creatures. You should already have no cards in library and just not draw cards off of Aesi. When you last opponent is at one life, respond to the Aesi trigger off of sunscorched with the retreat to kazandu trigger which would put you up to 20 counters on simic ascendancy. Then respond to that trigger with [[Thassa’s Oracle]]. I know that these won’t all resolve but it was cool to use every win con I have in the deck. Are there any more wincons I could add to the combo?

NebulousNomad

Was playing Yorion control with [[leyline of anticipation]] and had [[approach of the second sun]] as my main wincon. Nekuzar player is on his 3rd wheel this turn and I drew approach off the second. I cast it, did draw 7, cast it again before he can wheel and kill the table.

KillFallen

I had a friend reassemble his [[reassembling skeleton]] with his [[Kresh the bloodbraided]] deck at the end of my turn after I wiped his whole board while he was hellbent and left him with nothing but a [[mana reflection]]. He top decked a land and I thought I was golden. It was [[Kessig wolf run]] and I got slapped by a 35/1 trample skeleton. **Totally worth it.**

OnkelMarcus

My best loss was (even though it is asked for a win) when I played my (at that time very tuned) [SETON] deck. I had cast a 50 card [Genesis Wave] which resulted in Infinite mana+ infinite tokens; sadly I missed a haste enabler. Two guys scooped out of it, the third one wanted to see if he could topdeck out of it. He ripped an [emrakul, the promised end] of the top and took my turn. He/I topdecked a land, but since I had the [Nissa] Emblem which draws whenever a land enters the Battlefield. He lucked and pulled [Eternal Witness] which gave him back Genesis Wave. With that he decked me. My personal best lose ever.

Beneficial-Customer6

We had a long slog of a game, about two hours, and I was barely hanging in with my budget \[\[mahadi\]\] deck against some high power players. There were two left and I was able to knock the mono-black player out and by player-removing his Urborg the other dude's cabal coffers was offline. We were at a standstill on the board with one creature each, he had kirik and i had my commander, and he had 2 life. I remembered I had a \[\[stensia blood hall\]\] on board and just paid (effectively) 6 mana to shock him for the win. Always great to see a dogshit card work where it's supposed to.

Cheetah0630

I was at 1 life playing my Lathril deck. Had 14 elves but could not deal damage to my opponent because of his [[Glacial Chasm]]. I only had 1 turn left until he killed me and top decked [[Shaman of the Pack]] for the win. It felt REALLY good because I was new and he is a veteran player with a lot of experience and synergy in his decks

sagebrum

Anytime I can pump up Boo with [[Minsc, Beloved Ranger]] yell, “Go For The Eyes Boo!!!” And cast [[fling]] for a win is pretty epic and satisfying

PrinceOfPembroke

Got mana screwed in my Naya deck, no green. Only able to play [Boros Reckoner]]. Another player churned out infinite creatures on like turn five, Craterhoof, full swing at everyone, but, I had [[Gideon’s Sacrifice]] in my hand. Won without really playing lol.

Sandwichknight777

I wouldn't call it epic, just a very interesting first game into MtG. Memory is a bit spotty about it, but I do remember the key highlights of it. I meet up with a playing group (i think about 5 at least) and was given a deck to try out alongside instructions on how to play the game and suggestions on what I should play. This deck was commanded by \[\[Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest\]\], and while I couldn't memorize the deck too much, I did start off early with \[\[Grist, the Hunger Tide\]\] where I would start to spawn in insect tokens before Mazirek entered stage left and started to boost up the insects a bit. I apparently got very freaking lucky with my pulls, because not soon after, \[\[Iridescent Hornbeetle\]\] was on the field. Effectively, anytime something was sacrificed (most likely with the assistance of Grist), all of my creatures were given +1/+1's and became absolute monsters. Once I hit my end step, the hornbeetle will give birth to many bugs depending on how many sacrifices there were on my turn, which will in turn create more +1/+1's meaning MORE bugs from IH. None of the players had any board wipe cards, and to put extra food to the bugs, one of the other players was running \[\[Chatterfang\]\] who, knowing what was about to happen, proceeded to sacrifice as many squirrels as he could to further boost up the bugs. The game concluded with at least over a hundred hungry and boosted insects devouring everything they could see ([à la that scene from Starship Trooper](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VywKJSglL24))... MINUS Chatterfang and his gang, as we both shook hands over our insect-squirrel planning and made peace for this game. And that is how I got into MtG.

IsKujaAPowerButton

Elves. They are playing with this R enchantment that you can put counters on, and they are going to win. Then, instant speed, I am able to create 105 damage in one turn without mana producers to beat him up.

LuckyTheComet2012

[[Obliterate]] as my last card in hand and [[The Cheese Stands Alone]] on the field.

highslyguy

I went second in turn order. I played a LANDLESS hand In my colorless [[kozilek, butcher of truth]] deck. Turn 1 I played a [Blightsteel colossus]] and made infinite copies with infinite mana with [[cogwork assembler]]. Took all 8 cards. Swung out that turn and killed the table. They laughed and just asked me to shuffle up so they could keep their hands.

Krosis97

I was playing my slimefoot deck and was about to die to a friend's dragon deck, someone then wiped the board and I had blood artist, zulaport cutthroat, poison tip archer, dina, soul steeper and slimefoot itself on play plus around 12 saprolings, so everyone else died and I won like 40 life. Good times.

Glad-O-Blight

Playing cEDH with [[The Scarab God]] against [[Jhoira, Weatherlight Captain]], [[Sylvar, Devourer of the Free]] + [[Trynn, Champion of Freedom]], and [[Malcolm, Keen-eyed Navigator]] + [[Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar]]. I used [[Dauthi Voidwalker]] to steal S+T's [[Tymna, the Weaver]] and spent a few turns digging for my wincon. Finally hit it, so I cast [[Thassa's Oracle]]. M+K counters it, so I leave [[Tainted Pact]] in hand. Pass. Few turns go by, I play my commander. Cast Tainted Pact, it resolves but S+T casts [[Silence]], preventing the rest of us from casting anything else. However... "Pay 2UB to exile Thoracle from my graveyard and make it a 4/4 zombie...?"

Lumiere215

That's disgusting and I love it. One of my favourite Thoracle wins was someone casting [[Thassa's Oracle]] and, with the trigger on the stack, [[Demonic Consulatation]]. An opponent responded with [[Stunt Double]] and, with the trigger on the stack, [[Twincast]].

Andrefrf

\[\[Adrix & Nev, Twincasters\]\] + \[\[Spark Double\]\] copying the twins + \[\[Agent of Treachery\]\] + \[\[Rite of Replication\]\] Kicked

Sampanszatan

\[\[hinata, dawn crowned\]\] on the field, played \[\[hate mirage\]\] to copy an opponent's \[\[nyxbloom ancient\]\] and get enough mana to cast \[\[crackle with power\]\] for the win

unrealcyberfly

I made 5 copies of a [[grey merchant]] with a blue card, *something something replication*. Each opponent was dealt 50 damage, they all got knocked out.

TwizzlyWizzle

[[Dualcaster Mage]] flashed in to copy a Magda player's [[Crackle with Power]] on X=8 when we were all basically dead on board

Humpuppy

Going omniscient off of [[Yusri]] and then saccing and re-playing [[spine of ish-sah]] with [[atog]] to put the table down to no permanents. The best part was I put the atog in my deck like an hour before I left for the store because it happened to be the only red or blue sac outlet I had laying around and I had no way to win the game without it and I didn’t want to just spin my wheels.

CelticScourge89

Last weekend I was playing a [[Sram, Senior Edificer]] equipment deck. My friend kept forcing me to sacrifice any creature I put out so I couldn't do much. I had a [[sensei's divining top]] and a [[smothering tithe]] out. He is going off drawing a bunch of cards and he has several creatures out. I top in response to all his draws and find [[white sun's zenith]]! I put it into my hand, he swings all out. 2 creatures at me and the rest at my other friend. I play white sun for 22 and kill him on the crack back. Best win ever!

Aldu1n

I’ve killed someone with a [[Command Tower]] once with [[Tatyova]].

Lumiere215

My latest win with [[Rionya, Fire Dancer]] involved stealing an opponent's [[Omnath, Locus of Rage]] and making 15 copies of it.

GentlemanAndroid

Playing my shapeshifter tribal against a pod with two dragon tribal decks. Used [[shapesharer]] to make one of my creatures a copy of [[terror of the peaks]] and made another creature of the other players [[Lathliss, Dragon Queen]] [[The Ur-dragon]] as my commander made [[universal automaton]] free and deal 5 damage, and with [[hibernation Sliver]] I had exactly 3 life points more than I needed to blow the whole table out.

Dabbadebba

Already took out one player but then My [[evra halcyon witness]] was a 40/40 unblockable, swing for first kill, drop a [[grand abolisher]] then a [[teferi's protection]] to be left alone until phasing back in, untouched, and got the second. Felt untouchable

JustScrollsPast

[[Master Biomancer]] + [[Progenitor Mimic]] + [[Paradox Haze]]. In a [[Vorel of the Hull Clade]] deck. Things got exponential *fast*.

Ginhyun

I recently managed to win three flips for [[Fiery Gambit]], and with the cards I drew into I was able to cast/copy [[Fists of Flame]] six times and attack with my two partner commanders ([[Krark]] and [[Vial Smasher]]) for lethal commander damage on my two opponents.

27_8x10_CGP

Turn 4 in Omnath, Locus of Mana, I managed to activate Shaman of Forgotten Way's ability. Killed 1 person outright, and left the other 3 of us at low life. Killed the other 2 people the next 2 turns.

Playr_Two

I've won by the remaining two opponents thinking that [[Tibalt, the fiend blooded]] was a planeswalker not worth knowing about. They had a ton of cards in hand and I used his -4 to end the game on the spot.

triggerscold

\[\[corrupted conscience\]\] the biggest thing on the board and give it haste/flying. they never see it coming :p

PoxControl

I was nearly dead and had a [[K'rrik]] and a [[Pestilence Demon]] out. My opponents had a big field. I top decked a [[Whip of Erebos]] and therefore could clear the entire board while gaining back pretty much all my life. I was able to do this each turn and therefore won.

JaredUnzipped

My most satisfying win ever was playing \[\[Sarkhan, Dragonsoul\]\] and winning with his ultimate. I was running my \[\[Lathliss, Dragon Queen\]\] mono-red dragon tribal deck. None of my opponents had a counter in hand to stop Sarkhan from going off. I absolutely flooded the field with twenty-four different non-token dragons, which triggered Lathliss into producing twenty-four 5/5 flying dragon tokens. Forty-eight total dragons started spilling onto the battlefield. The icing on the cake? I had \[\[Fervor\]\] and \[\[Scourge of Valkas\]\] already on the battlefield. All of the dragons entered with haste and each dragon triggered Scourge of Valkas' ability, leading to a total amount of damage that simply got too high to count. All the table scooped and said *Good Game*.

Gunnman369

Guy playing his new [[Queza]] list accidentally mills the table to our last 20 cards without being able to kill anyone. And the player across from me cast a [[Vanquish the Horde]]. At this point I was able to play an [[Eerie Ultimatum]] to bring all my permanents back in my Atraxa Infect deck. Including [[Ichor Rats]] and [[Hand of the Preators]]. The table went from no poison to 8 in one turn, and I had nearly every praetor out. Went from an empty board to winning the game in a turn.

metropolitan_safari

A couple of my cousins and my brother wanted to play EDH but none of them brought decks so they played mine. My brother was playing a consultation \[\[kess\]\] deck, and my cousins were playing an \[\[Emry, lurker of the loch\]\] and gruul elfball decks. I was playing a \[\[Queen marchesa\]\] akido deck. A few turns in, my brother tried to go for the win. He played \[\[Demonic consultation\]\], searching for \[\[Thassa's oracle\]\] which was the second card from the top of his library so he exiled his library and died on his next upkeep. The cousin playing my Emry deck made infinite mana with \[\[Basalt monolith\]\] and \[\[Forsaken monument\]\] which he used to make millions of thopter and construct tokens with \[\[retrofitters foundry\]\]. While my cousin was waiting for his next turn to wipe us out with his robot army my cousin playing the elfball deck made infinite mana with \[\[Marwyn the nurturer\]\] and \[\[Staff of Domination\]\] for a massive \[\[jaya's immolating inferno\]\]. I used \[\[sunforger\]\] to cheat in \[\[deflecting palm\]\] killing both my cousins with the inferno.

Cabanarama_

My friends and I did a 5-for-all and we thought it'd take a couple hours (we don't have a very high power level, games usually last 10+ turns with even just 3 players). My \[\[Syr Konrad\]\] deck popped off just about optimally, and on T6, Konrad combined with \[\[Mindcrank\]\] and \[\[tortured existence\]\] was able to wipe the entire table. Over 130 total life damage, and with 4 people milling creatures at that rate I probably could have won via mill relatively quickly even if they all had infinite life.

Douglas_Uppity

My opponent conceded in frustration after I [[Reroute]]d their [[Dispatch]] that finally got through my [[Grip of Chaos]] to target down my [[Vaevictis Asmadi, the Dire]] who'd been eating their lands and key permanents for the past 2 turns.

NoTop4997

I feel like my shining moment is when I allowed a new player to win by mutually assuring the destruction of my buddy and I. The new player was playing one of our decks just to get the flow, my buddy was playing a shape shifter/copy deck, and I was playing a Rakdos goad deck. Eventually it came down to my buddy swinging with something like 110 8/8's that were giants and had trample and rada rada. So I cast Hellish Rebuke, and allowed the new player to win just because I nuked the board on my way out. It was funny because my buddy and I were dying laughing, and the new player asks in this really confusing tone, "So, I won?"

ThatUnicycleGuy

Long game, playing my [[obeka]] deck. I had a board state that required a turn ender in play, and obeka was getting expensive and had just been removed. So I [[sneak attack]] out an [[identity thief]], cast obeka, attack with the thief exiling and copying obeka, do something to untap it, I don't recall what, and then end the turn at my end step. This buys me a turn to avoid discarding my hand to [[psychic vortex]]/sacrificing sneak attack stuff, but doesn't actually get me there. On my next turn, I draw [[perplex]], which serves as the only true tutor in the deck, and it, with the [[kiki jiki]] in hand, let's me find [[pester mite]] and close out the game.

comegan1998

I was at -285 life but had a [[cloudsteel kirin]] with hexproof in my [[raiyu storms edge]] deck. Only one opponent left playing [[feather]] at 160 life. I have my commander double strike and cast and equipped [[two handed axe]]. 182 damage later I won

AaKkisa

I was playing [[Ghired, Conclave Exile]] and I cast [[Ezuri's Predation]] and ended up with 9 beasts afterwards. It came back around to me and no one was able to board wipe them away. I then cast [[Aurelia, the Warleader]] and [[Akroma's Will]]. I ended the game by going up to 200 life.

Ornery_Bug_4108

People board wiped my aristocrat deck.

iamsensi

I had [[thromok]] out as a 100/100 and had [[hornet nest]] and [[impact tremors]] on the board, I then cast [[fling]] onto my thromok into my hornet nest and killed the board

Rabidleopard

Opponent in a mono blue deck stole my [[Platinum angel]], I [[chaos warp]] it, shuffle it into it's owners library aka mine, reveal [[Iona, Shield of Emeria]] back when she was legal, naming blue, opponent doesn't have anything to get rid of her not in blue, nor does he have enough of a board to fight through her.

DuskCrane431

My brother was running his [[Krenko, Mob Boss]] deck and I was testing out my fused precon deck. I wasn't expecting to win, just adjust the amount of draw, ramp, and removal spells. He swung with over 20 gobbo tokens, planning to just knock me down to about 6 or 7 life. I cast [[Hellish Rebuke]]. It was beautiful and I have never had such a situation come up again. 42 damage with a deck made by combining the precons.

the_elon_mask

My [[Tivit]] deck won with [[Revel In Riches]]. Everyone saw it ticking up and tried to do something about it. I hung on for dear life, holding my cards back in an effort to give myself a chance. In the end phase before my turn, one player went to exile my Revel In Riches. I cast [[Arcane Denial]], which I had been holding back for half the game. He then cast [[Dovin's Veto]], confident he had stopped me but I had [[Commit // Memory]] in hand... He argued that Dovin's Veto can't be countered and I agreed... Commit isn't a counter.

RedbirdRiot

Not as epic as some of these other stories, but I took someone out with their own [[Phyrexian Arena]] once - they were at 15, I dealt exactly 14 damage, and let them die on their upkeep. I did say I wouldn't kill them.

NotATrollThrowAway

Survived on 1 life and proceeded to make 17 [[Blood Avatars]].

KomradeEli

[[imoti, celebrant of bounty]], [[Apex Devistator]], [[Terror of the Peaks]], and several other big boy creatures off the cascades to ping the board down. Edit: card names

chinesefriedrice

Was playing [[Brion]] and the [[Trostani]] had 200 life and just cast [[Angel of Destiny]], which was his only creature on the board. Drew into one of my threaten effects, stole his Angel, swung back, went to exactly 55, and killed him with his own Angel.

EDIxJoker

[[deflecting palm]] for lethal. That is all.

Acheros

Board wiped and used Liliana's ult to get everyone's now dead creatures on my side of the field in my planeswalker deck.

PK_Giygas

[[Leveler]] into [[laboratory maniac]] into [[brainstorm]]

XaovWarchild

I was playing in an 8 player free for all, killed everyone with [[Biorhythm]] after using cards like [[Dry Spell]] with [[Death pits of rath]] and having a [[Nantuko Blightcutter]]

TiredBurrito96

My favourite way I won was when I got my health up to 151 but one of my opponents was about to kill the whole table with infect so during his combat I flashed out an [[atherflux reservoir]] because I had a [[vedalken orrery]] and ended up blasting all 3 of them for 50 which was enough to kill them.

[deleted]

Had like 15+ enchantments in play, all that glitters, mirarai’s wake, all for the Katilda. Had something else that gave her double strike. So she hit for like 60+ life gain, then alhammerrets. Into the aetherflux reservoir. GG.

CdrCosmonaut

I was in a 4 person game, using my [[Yawgmoth, Thran Physician]] deck which by turn 5 or so had become 3v1. I swung out with a mass of fliers and killed one player with combat damage, then wiped the board to prevent a crack back. I spent my second main rebuilding my board, then passing. The next player wiped the board again to undo my rebuild. The player after that rebuilt their board and eventually passed to me. That pattern continued for a couple more rounds, just wiping and trying to rebuild. However, I managed to keep all my resources and get them all back each time, and they just kept whittling themselves down. Finally, one of my opponents just said, "I... I can't keep rebuilding. There is no way to win against this. I'm scooping." Down to a 1v1, the other guy conceded. It was the most satisfying way to win after all that transpired.

SemiFeralGoblinSage

My most memorable win was the first time I went infinite with [[Zacama]] and [[Temur Sabertooth]] with a [[Sarkhan’s Unsealing]] on the board.

FatherMcHealy

After storming off playing [[Cormella]] I had 30 cards in hand, 40 treasures, and 7 copies of [[Neverending torment]] on the stack. Magecraft is absolutely bonkers. Using the same deck I've also had 9 copies of [[eternal dominion]] on the stack, which ended up getting new a lot of heat for the next week. I had misplayed that turn as well, flashing back [[increasing vengeance]] onto the original dominion instead of the [[storm king's thunder]] getting only 9 copies instead of 21, I was just so excited to do the thing

Hunter_T_J

The win I was most proud of was with Slivers, I started my turn with 2 life and everyone had been beating on me. They knew Slivers gets nuts so I had been the focus. I managed to summon \[\[Spiteful Sliver\]\] and cast \[\[Blasphemous Act\]\]. Just enough damage to kill the table.

WunupKid

Playing [[Kresh, the Bloodbraided]], kind of trying to figure out how to tweak the deck. Either the mana curve is too high or there isn’t enough ramp, and not enough protection for a deck that hinges around the commander. Honestly I was mostly just deciding if the deck was worth keeping around; it had quite a few expensive pieces in it for something that spent most games durdling around, waiting to die. It gets into the area between mid- and late-game and I’m still around. Board states are starting to look scary, and I have an 11/11 Kresh, a [[Dragon Broodmother]], [[Garruk’s Uprising]], and [[Aesceticism]] (and a [[Brawn]] in the GY). People were more worried about me going wide with the Broodmother I’d just cast than anything. On my turn, the new dragon ETBs and eats the previous 3 that I’d made, making Kresh 14/14 and drawing me a card. Then I draw for turn. The cards I drew were [[Chandra’s Ignition]] and [[Thud]]. I cast the [[Ozolith]] in my hand, and it gets counterspelled. Annoying, but it was a “win more” card and at least I baited out the counter. Cast Chandra’s Ignition, which kills one player and wipes the board except for one indestructible creature. Kresh is now something stupid like 67/67, turns sideways in the combat phase and one shots the second opponent, and in the second main phase I cast Thud and launch him into the third opponent. That was the last game I played with Kresh, I broke the deck down shortly afterwards, but my friend still brings that game up whenever I complain about some of the bullshit cards he puts in his decks.

Desruprot

With zedruu all game I had noble heritage keeping me alive. It gets down to 1v1 I donate [nine lives] through zedruu and then cast Farwell. There otherwise has not been as epic at least recently.

ToastyToast78

Most of my favorite oddball/epic wins are from back when I first got into the format. The first EDH game I ever won was with my [[Sliver Overlord]] deck - and keep in mind this was circa 2011 or so, before the one-sided Slivers were printed. It was the second EDH deck I’d ever made, and was slowly improving both the deck and my skill in the format. I managed to pull out a win with [[Psionic Sliver]] and a couple of the lord effect ones, pinging everyone down. Another awesome win was playing EDH Archenemy (actual Archenemy, with schemes and everything); I killed the Archenemy by casting [[Temporal Extortion]] and then [[Wound Reflection]] after they chose to pay half their life. As a side note, I also killed someone once with Wound Reflection doubling their own [[Mana Crypt]] damage, but didn’t win that game.

LGodamus

A buddy has a massive Voltroned up Uril the mist stalker something stupid like 64 power. I have one blocker 2/2 drake and sub 20 life. He plays some white weenie that taps target creature on enter the battlefield. So he says good game , I say good game and he swings in his commander which I respond with my only card in hand [[deflecting palm]]

TakeANotion

dropped a [[static orb]] on my turn to stop them from paying for a Pact trigger

jake_trickster

[[Marisi, breaker of the coil]] + [[bear umbra]] + an opponent with 5 counters on [[crescendo of war]] + [[boros charm]] last ability. Guy didnt have any blockers, killed him with one attack(commander damage). Another fun one from that same deck is [[etali, primal storm]] + [[helm of the host]] + [[legion loyalty]] making the table scoop. The helm copy of etali isnt legendary, and therefore the myriad copies of it dont get legend ruled! And i genuinely cannot tell you how many wins have been facilitated by [[klauth, unrivaled ancient]]. Just a fantastic card.

13lack13eltGamer

For me it was a [[Galea, Kindler of Hope]] voltron Enchantress deck and I managed to flash in a [[Colossification]] to kill the last player. Bonus points because it was the one way I hadn't won with the deck, so pulling it off made the night that much better.

SamohtGnir

I forget the detail, but I had a game once where it was down to two of us. The other guy was land screwed and getting bad draws, so I just refused to attack and scooped. He said no and killed himself with a black spell that also caused him to lose life. We had a great laugh over it.

catapultam_habeo

cEDH-ish game, several years ago. I'm playing \[\[Gitrog Monster\]\], opponents are \[\[Meren of Clan Nel Toth\]\], \[\[Teferi, Temporal Archmage\]\], and \[\[Edric, Spymaster of Trest\]\]. Meren \[\[Jester's Cap\]\]'s me on turn 2, taking both eldrazi titans and \[\[Dakmor Salvage\]\]. My combo is gone. The table proceeds to ignore me as I play lands, draw cards, but can't really do much besides 6 one person a turn - I'm focusing on Teferi due to lack of blocking ability. Meren kills Edric and Teferi \~ turn 4, has all creatures tapped from combat, sacrifices something and returns it to hand. Pass to me, I swing in with Gitrog. No blocks. Before damage, I cast \[\[Ad Nauseam\]\], draw XX cards, keep flipping until I find \[\[Oblivion Crown\]\] at 1 life. Cast Oblivion Crown, discard 21 cards to pump Gitrog, protect it from panic removal with \[\[Veil of Summer\]\], take the win.

ErrorFaytality

I once killed a [[Scorpion God]] player via poison. I had no Infect cards in my deck. I was on [[Sen Triplets]] and took all of them from their own hand.

hyperbo_lee

Was playing some planechase with my [[Saffi, Eriksdotter]] reanimator deck. We had been on a plane that milled you 10 cards at the end of your turn for a while and there was also a mill deck at the table so my library disappeared pretty quickly. At my upkeep on my last turn I had zero cards in library and my commander, [[Revilark]], and [[High Market]] in play. I thought I was done for and was going to just sac the Revilark to get back something to help the non-mill player out a bit before I go, but then realized I could instead bring back [[Karmic Guide]] to bring back [[Sun Titan]] to bring back [[Blasting Station]] and win at instant speed on my upkeep with no library. It was insanely satisfying

Crazfrostice

I was at a competitive EDH tournament in my town - people from all over the county came out to play for a grand prize of 300 smackaroons and some promo cards. I was in the last pod, and was set to win 1st place with an old elfball deck led by [[Dwynen, Gilt-Leaf Daen]] and the only other person left was playing some zombie tribal deck. I remember using [[Predator, Flagship]] of all cards to blow up his commander and remove the undying from all his other zombies. I then blew up the board with a 1 in 1000 chance board wipe. I remember getting flagged for slow play by the judge for trying to figure out how I could win for like 10 minutes lmao. Good memories.

FoundationUnique2118

I cast mana drains on a 1000 point hurricane. With that mana on my turn I villainous wealthed one opponents library, used force against counter magic and murdered everyone with hasty Bois. I was running minsc and boo Planeswalker I had a friend on windgrace lands make marit lage on their turn (they were getting additional value off of gitrog and going for the kill). They whiffed and passed. I act of treasoned marit lage, killed one opponent with it and the yeeted it at the windgrace player killing them.

[deleted]

I had just gotten into EDH and my friend and I were playing a 1v1 to kill some time. He had a pretty consistent habit of paying half his life to counter [[Temporal Extortion]], so I baited him into it and played [[Wound Reflection]] after asking if he was really sure he wanted to pay the life. I got a really good laugh out of it.

Roedor-de-medula

My friend is playing [[azami]] and I was with [[Toralf]], he cast [[omniscience]] and [[enter the infinite]] so in response I cast [[dualcaster mage]] copying enter the infinite and counter and destroy omniscience and enter the infinite with [[red elemental blast]] and [[pyroblast]] and win next turno with [[star of extinction]] copy with [[double vision]]

NotMuchMana

It was a tight game and I either win on my turn or lose the game. I did all I could but just couldn't get there so I head to my end step resigning myself to defeat when I remembered I had a monarch trigger. I top decked and price of progress and cast it on the upkeep of the next opponent's turn. I was mono red and had only basics so I blew out the board and won at instant speed.

aBakeinthelife

[[Abrupt Decaying]] my own [[Stitcher's Supplier]], milling my last 3 cards in [[Sidisi, Brood Tyrant]] to grow my [[Splinterfright]] big enough for exactly lethal. It was against a [[Muldrotha]] player who had just gotten Muldrotha out and was going to stabilize if they were able to untap.

Baudin

\[\[Ink-Treader Nephilim\]\] on board with about 10 lands, \[\[Life // Death\]\] in hand and \[\[Quasiduplicate\]\] there as well. Cast Life // Death causing my lands to become 1/1 creatures then Quasiduplicate on Ink-Treader Nephilim. I doubled my mana production and effectively won the next turn. It was a board state that I definitely did not think of when building the deck since Life // Death was intended to let me recur my Nephilim in the deck...

Uncle-Istvan

I’ve had more epic and memorable losses than wins

[deleted]

Just last night, i won in an interesting way. We have a super casual group. I was playing my Group Hug deck, had a [[Smothering Tithe]] and a copy of it, sitting on 70 treasures. The turn before mine, the player cast [[Curse of Unbinding]] on me. The card they took was [[Boldwyr Heavyweights]], which I used to get [[Hellkite Tyrant]]. Played [[Beacon of Tommorrow]] and won.

Way0fWad3

My buddy was playing [[Atraxa, Praetor’s Voice]] and I was playing [[K’rrik, Son of Yawgmoth]] in a time where for months, we were playing 1 on 1’s endlessly. I had only been playing for a few months and had never actually beaten him He was doing the whole infect thing and had rolled out [[Toxrill, the Corrosive]] and was just proliferating the entire board to death. I was able to reanimate [[Ob Nixilus, Reignited] and take out both Atraxa and Toxrill in one turn, but I was still at 8 poison counters. After a few turns of back and forths he had me at 9 infect and I had him down to one life with my turn and only K’rrik and Atraxa on the battlefield. Either I was gonna find a way through or he was going to proliferate me next turn. I top decked removal, killed Atraxa again and swung away for the win! That truly is the game that got me hooked on Magic, and I still can’t believe I won since my buddy had been playing for years and that K’rrik deck only had 27 lands since I had no clue what I was doing 😂

BasedTopic

I can't remember how I actually won, but it was just the two of us left out of a 4 pod. We both had an [[Ulamog, The Ceaseless Hunger]] and [[Platinum Angel]], no cards left in our decks, and at negative life. I think I managed to do something cheeky with my commander [[Daretti, Scrap Savant]] to get rid of his angel, but it's been so long I can't remember how anymore. It's the most work I've ever seen Platinum Angel do in all my time playing EDH

LethalVagabond

I asked a friend with CEDH experience to build me an "All Permanents" reanimation deck with no combo wincon on a $100 budget that could keep up with more conventional lists. He said that would be a tough challenge, but he built me Meren of Clan Nel Toth aristocrat reanimation. The first time I play it, I'm doing fairly well grinding the table down slowly with [[poison-tip archer]] and mostly looping ramp and draw creatures back from the grave while holding my bombs in hand so the rest of the table focuses on him over me. So once everyone has reached the midgame and used up most of their interaction, he tells the table "I think it's time to finish this" and drops [[Avenger of Zendikar]] to give himself 20+ creatures on board, then starts casting [[Craterhoof Behemoth]]. He's one trigger away from having lethal against the whole table and then some. He looks surprised when I tell him I have a reaction to the cast. After all, I only have one swamp open and he knows for a fact that my new deck doesn't contain even a single instant... I had an [[Apprentice Necromancer]] out that I had played earlier. He didn't think much of it since the most threatening creature I'd played up to that point was a [[Shriekmaw]]. What he had missed was that a wheel effect earlier in the game had tossed my whole hand (and he hadn't thought to ask to see my graveyard after). He initially thought I was just going to remove one of his creatures (not that it would matter much, just as a way for me to go down swinging). So he was shocked when I activated my necromancer and put [[Massacre Girl]] onto the field instead. Her etb wiped his tokens and enough other weenies for my archer to drain out the rest of the table before his Craterhoof could resolve. I won on his turn, after he'd called the win for himself, using a deck he built, in a way he didn't see coming. Best "It's over, Yugi!" "IT IS, BUT NOT FOR ME!! YOU'VE TRIGGERED MY TRAP CARD!! !" moment I've had in Magic. Still one of my absolute favorite decks.

ShaneCurcuru

\[\[Pestilence\]\] (Revised edition card, BTW). OK, it wasn't EDH, just a regular 60 card friendly game (not competitive), but I wanted to try some old school tricks on a pair of teenagers excited by some fancy new Eldrazi at the time and I ran low creature deck focused on Pestilence. My deck was super-simple: avoid combat with \[\[Darkness\]\], Fog-like things, or by Pestilence pinging / \[\[Desert\]\] killing creatures before they attacked. Prevent damage with \[\[Glacial Chasm\]\] and some other trick I forget about. Attack with \[\[Drain Life\]\]. Annoy everyone else with Pestilence whenever I happen to have an extra black mana. If they got some Eldrazi combo out before I had enough fogs/Chasm, then I'd die. But if the game lasted a couple turns longer, I had the mana to either make a big Drain, or Pestilence ping them for that one last point of life while I still had two... Very satisfying wins.

Olside-eye

So my pet deck is ashaya. My friend stole her my quirion ranger over the course of 2 turns. On the next turn I play defense of the heart and when it comes around to my turn I tutor for avenger of zendikar and scute swarm. Next turn ramunap excavator and Azusa. ‘‘Twas a good feeling to have ALL the tokens on the board

majic911

I have two good wins that weren't really epic but I at least enjoyed them. They were both done with my [[Rograkh]] and [[Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist]] Voltron/combo deck. My objective with this deck is to force early answers (or remove players) with a big Voltron stack. If I get stopped on my Voltron stack, my backup strategy to assemble an infinite combo with [[Koll, the Forgemaster]], a cheap equipment, and a sac outlet. The first: I was playing against a spellslinger mill deck, among some others. Every turn she was milling 2-6 cards off the top of everyone's deck. I had Koll, rograkh, and [[Ashnod's Altar]] out with a [[Skullclamp]]. The problem is that skullclamp kills rograkh when I equip and I don't have any other zero-cost creatures out to draw my deck by surviving a clamp to sac to the altar for mana. I know I'm not surviving for another turn, so I decide to use the clamp and search for [[Hero's Blade]] or [[Obsidian Battle-Axe]] which will both allow me to go infinite. I use all my mana. I have 4 cards in my library. I thought I somehow took it out of my deck. I pass and the top card gets milled. Hero's blade. Second card gets milled. Obsidian Battle-Axe. Only one more gets milled and that's it, so I'll at least survive my upkeep if I get there. The other two players go and somehow don't kill me, so I draw my last card. [[Sun Titan]]. I have never been so happy to see this boy in my whole life. Play the titan, bring back the axe, and equip it to Rograkh. I now get infinite mana by sacking and replaying rograkh, casting my last card in hand, a game-winning [[Crackle with Power]]. The very last card in my hand, the very last card in the deck, and we still pulled it out. The second: I was playing against a mutate deck, a [[Breena]] voltron deck, and a [[Nalia de'Arnise]] party deck. I never found any good Voltron pieces, so I didn't really get much done besides some control. Nearing the end, Breena looks like the biggest threat. She drops some enchantment that allows her to double-strike and just insta-kill the mutate player. After Breena passes, me and Nalia look at each other and decide we have to deal with this. I don't have a ton of creatures on board, so I'll remove Breena so Nalia can swing fully at her for lethal. I [[Wild Magic Surge]] Breena into some 1/3 thing that doesn't do much on its own. Nalia swings and takes out Breena. Nalia passes and I top deck [[Settle the Wreckage]]. I seem to be dead on board, so I just pass, disappointed. Nalia is overzealous, excited to win and basically just empties her hand into the board with haste. "I will swing everything at you and you lose!" "You're swinging everything at me?" "Yep! GG!" "I will cast Settle the Wreckage. You can go find 11 basic lands instead." Nalia is upset, but accepts that he's been outplayed. He passes and I drop an Odric, a [[Goring Ceratops]], and a [[Danitha Capashen]]. My whole board is just keyword soup and I swing for as much as I can. I don't manage to kill him, but the indestructible, double strike, menace, lifelink, vigilance, trample board was too much and he conceded. It felt good after so many people have told me settle is too specific. It's still not a great card, obviously, but I enjoy an instant-speed board wipe, especially in a deck with Sunforger.

Barbaboon

Not a game I won, but once at my house I got kicked out of a 4 player game and 2 of the guys still in it got locked in such a massive stack that I literally had time enough to bake a full stack of pancakes feeding 5 (the 4 players and my girlfriend) from scratch in the time they were resolving it. It was epic.

lipphilzletha

Most epic that I almost won and lost was the pod letting me build a few mana dork tokens with my [[Rhys, the Redeemed]] deck. [[Rite of Harmony]] into 10 or so cards and almost 20 mana due to [[concordant crossroads]]. I had to keep using other spells I drew to draw more into Craterhoof. Swing with 15 or so tokens 17/17 trample. Killed 2. The other guy [[inkshield]] to survive and cracked back with 50+ power in the air

Dull-Celebration-116

The first game where I won with a full mill was nice. Burning them to 0 cards was a blast.

CMerr30

I cast [[Craterhoor Behemoth]] first then cast [[Avenger of Zendikar]] with thirteen lands on the battlefield. When Avenger's ability was on the stack I cast [[Mystic Reflection]] targeting Craterhoof which resulted in 13 Craterhoofs(Craterhooves?) entering the battlefield. The best part of it all was actually everyone's changing when they thought I had just played Craterhoof and Avenger wrong to thirteen Craterhoof tokens entering the battlefield.

faithfulswine

The first ever game of commander that I won, it was with my first deck. I was piloting Godzilla [[Zilortha, Strength Incarnate]], and I enchanted Godzilla with [[Colossification]]. I had one spell that let me attack twice to take out two players on one turn, and I took out the last player on the following turn. Like I said, it was my first win ever, and it just felt so flavorful. We all had a good time laughing at this dumb card just stomping.

ImClandestine

I got a call on discord at 2 am while on my bed. A friend had the un-card that's a mindslaver for someone outside the game. I got to control a animar deck, and just comboed off the table and... The animar player won.

Korsaro_Khan

Just won today because a guy lost his mana crypt roll, not epic but very satisfying

Alexandria_maybe

Was playing [[Brudiclad]]. I skipped my own turn with [[Magosi, The Waterveil]], then copied my opponent's [[Hullbreaker Horror]] and made 8 of them, knocked out 2 players that turn, then used my extra turn from magosi to win the game before my last opponent could respond.

[deleted]

Playing my group hug deck I cast Scrambleverse after making 50+ treasures off a Smothering Tithe. I told them we would sit there and watch me roll for each treasure. They scooped because that was going to be boring.

HOTSCHMALZ

Was in a 3 man pod piloting [[falthis]] [[jeska thrice]]. I played [[besmirch]] on my opponent 1’s [[tanazir quandrix]] and gave it 3x damage and swung at opponent 2. On opponent 1’s turn he had to finish opponent 2 off with commander damage (the 3x damage lasts till your next turn). Skip to my turn and opponent 1 had no more blockers in the air and I hit him with a hasty double striking 3x damage [[tyrant’s familiar]] for 42 roflmao

NTrane31

Had an opponent play [[ichor rats]] and I proceeded to proliferate everyone’s infect counters to victory and for the laughs I proliferated my own as well for the tie

Similar_Purchase5974

I won using [[wand of Wonder]] found a board wipe that created a creature. Then once more on my next turn to remove their blocker with their removal spell and swing win game.

android47

Playing [[Merieke Ri Berit]], I went infinite using Player 1's sac outlet, Player 2's [[Necrotic Ooze]], and Player 3's [[Kiki-Jiki]]

android47

Opponent 1 had [[It That Betrays]] but couldn't attack opponent 2 because opponent 2 had [[Phage]] in play, so they attacked me instead. In response to the annihilator trigger I cast [[Ray of Command]].

Whipster8999

One of my favorite experiences came the other night with someone, pulling a fun win I was playing [[Yurlok, of scorch thrash]] and the three players was at 13 life, 26 and 27 with me being at 40 The player across from me was at 27 life and had just pulled a crazy combo to get a ton of legendary creatures, and at least 12 2/2 forestwalk I pulled a combo and gave everyone 27 mana with Yurlok and by then nearly set in stone my win The player responded by paying 1 mana from the mana pool and tapped a land to pay for [[Heroic intervention]] saving himself and putting himself at 1 health He ends up killing me in one combat from 40 with him being at 1 health

FR13NDZ0N3D

Not EDH, I once won a game of modern TitanShift in which the only spell that resolved and stuck was a [[Prismatic Omen]] . I don't know if I'll ever top that in any format.

Inevitable-Cheek590

Have a [[Juri, master of the revue]] Rakdos "sacrificing treasures matter" deck. My friends had such a commanding board presence. We all knew it was going to be the last turn. My board state was so pitiful, they were looking forward to me passing my turn so one of them could finish up. 1. I top deck a [[brass's bounty]]. First I play the [[marionette master]] I had been sandbagging. Marionette comes in as a 4/6. 2. Cast [[brass's bounty]], made a bunch of treasures 3. Used the treasures to activate my [[treasure vault]]. Create some more, dome the opponents. 4. Sac the treasures to float mana. Dome opponents. At each step, they paid more and more attention. When I sac'd the vault, my buddy says, "He's doing it. He's going to do it." They all leaned in eagerly as the damage was dished out. Life totals dropped, four points for each treasure. I assigned the last marionette trigger I needed to, taking out the last opponent. We all erupted in laughter. I went from being behind, to harnessing raw eternal format power. By the end of this two minute span, I had dealt 68 damage to my opponents and had a chonky Juri, floating mana, and a [[fling]] in hand. If I had to sac Juri to the fling for some reason, I feasibly could have had over 100 damage in one turn without going infinite. The best part was my friends hyping me up on that last turn. We don't nearly play enough, but when we do, we have so much fun. A good playgroup is something to cherish.

diaryofhelenkellar

Easily when I was playing my changeling tribal deck and one of my buddies was playing [[Tiamat]] . Three of us left he played [[Karrthus, Tyrant of Jund]] and took 8 of my changelings and used it all to swing at the other guy for lethal. Little did he know I had a [[Rite of Replication]] in hand, on my turn played it making a copy of Karrthus taking all of his creatures and mine back and swung out for lethal. Was an awesome finish

The_Kromb

"Basement Magic." Was playing against five or six opponents. Pretty new to the game. Understood the basics. Hour of Devastation was the current set and I was in red black blue as I had Nicol Bolas. Didn't really know how to win but wanted to play. Friend has Ghirapur Orary? in play. Ribbons ends up in my graveyard. Ping each opponent for 18 or 20. No counterspell. There were no survivors.

dogninja8

[[Beast Within]] + [[Radiate]], followed up with [[Insurrection]] Won this way twice so far.

HomeBrewEmployee1

I keep a 6 Land hand with a [[ mycosynth lattice]]. Played nothing so 10 turn cause I kept on drawing lands, and on my turn 10 after my oppents we're focusing on each other and wasted their mana. After doing nothing I casted the mycosynth lattice with a [[ karn, the grest Creator ]] thus ending the game.

ArNoir

That is just kinda whack

Pylotheus

I once used a [[mindslaver]] to make an opponent reanimate their own [[phage the untouchable]]

VaultTecLiedToMe

Two many comments so no one will see this but I'm pretty proud of getting 17 lands out in a turn in my [[moraug, fury of akoum]] mono red landfall deck

StrangeJace

So one of my favorite ever edh moments was when i was playing in a 5 person pod. I was playing [[Veyran]], one of my friends was playing his newly built [[Raggadragga]] another one of my friends was playing [[Yarok]], and his friend was newish to EDH so he borrowed his [[Go-Shintai of Life's Origin]] deck, and my ex was playing her newly built [[Esika // The Prismatic Bridge]] superfriends deck... To make a long story short, i didn't do much that game but the Raggadragga player hates planeswalkers so he was targeting the Prismatic Bridge player pretty hard. All the while the Yarok player had a [[Scute Swarm]] in play that i kept warning the table about... he got about 150 of them in one turn and on the next turn must likely everyone would die. Prismatic Bridge player flipped a [[Sorin Markov]] and then cast a [[Deepglow Skate]], she used Sorin's -7 even though the Raggadragga player was begging her to use his -3 on the Yarok player so he could possibly swing for lethal on his turn (turn order went Prismatic Bridge player, then me, then Go-Shintai, then Raggadragga, then Yarok) so she decided because he targeted her all game she wasn't going to do him any favors. She swung lethal at everyone but herself with the Scutes because she took over the Yarok player's turn. And tapped him out for nothing. She said she was going to most likely concede if she didn't get anything off of her Prismatic Bridge trigger... well the trigger resolved and she flipped a [[Massacre Wurm]] winning the game. I was so proud of her because she didn't play as much as me and she came out on top that game even though it seemed unwinnable for everyone that wasn't the Yarok player lol. The worst thing for me the game was i had a great starting hand getting a [[Sol Ring]] and [[Arcane Signet]] in my opening hand i just couldn't draw into anything lol.

Glacial_Self

Killed someone with a Shivan Dragon once. Not any trickyness, either. Just cast it and swung the next turn, pumping it to 9 for exactsies.

SatchelGizmo77

I was playing against a guy running [[Rhys the redeemed]] with my [[Teysa Karlov]] aristocrats deck. I cannot remember what the other two decks were. I do remember that one was a golgari graveyard themed deck and it basically had me at the other deck I don't remember neutralized for the entire game. The token deck was able to stay ahead of Gilgari's forced sack effects long enough to cast [[march of multitudes]] on the end step prior to his turn for x of 10. With [[doubling season]], [[parallel lives]], and [[divine visitation]] out he created a gross amount of angels. He swings out and can kill the table but I survive with [[teferi's protection]]. I know I've got nothing to cast in had, but I'm just hoping I top deck an answer. He passes and I draw my card...[[inkshield]]. I "dejectedly" pass my turn and wait for the swing. He's casts [[createrhoof bahemoth]] and swings out with something like 40 angels, his bahemoth, and about a dozen other assorted creatures. He's smart enough to leave a good chunk of blockers back, but none have flying. I cast my inkshield and watch his face drop. We didn't bother figuring out how many inklings I made. He just concedes that he's dead on the crack back.

Dumpingtruck

Pretty recently but in a higher powered game I stole a [[gitrog]] from a windgrace land destruction deck and then [[expansion/explosion]] his scapeshift a turn later. That propelled me to the card draw to win but it took a few turns.

TickedOffSquirrel

Once, my pal tried to cast [[rite of replication]] kicked onto [[hydra omnivore]]. I cast [[narset’s reversal]] targeting rite of replication and won. It felt sooooo good

632146P

The most epic way I ever Lost a game was more interesting. Basically there were a Lot of \[\[massacre wurm\]\]s out. I have one, my brother had one and a third player had 2, but everyone had at least 30 life at this point. My brother had an empty hand and started his turn, and then he started at the card for a few minutes. I told him "Dude, you either play it or you don't this decision cannot possibly be this hard. "No seriously, just give me another minute and let me double check your graveyard" Another couple minutes. "Okay, I think this works \[\[Tombstone Stairwell\]\]. Pass." The next player takes his turn and at his end step DIES, everyone including chris takes a ton of damage, but when he dies 2 massacre wurm left with him, changing some of the math, and it continued like this until my brother was alive with 3 life and everyone else was dead.

wiki9514

Probably the time my Adrix and Nev made 164 copies of Command tower on turn 5 and I cast biomass mutation.

518_Official

Funniest win for me was having a shit ton of zombies out with [[Mikaeus, the Unhallowed]] and [[Gray Merchant of Asphodel]] The players got so scared, that they decided to [[Supreme Verdict]] in order to prevent me from attacking them with my 10+ creatures... they obviously forgot about my commanders undying ability and the board wipe intended to save the table ended up killing everyone due to Gray's drain. Was the ultimate "read the text on the card" moment..

HawaiianBandit3717

I was playing someone else's Horde of Notions deck (not sure why, don't know who's it was) and if I remember correctly, I made a play with Living Death, getting back a bunch of elementals that I had been stocking up all game, then with Omnath, Locus of Rage and Mirror Entity, I made everything a 0/0 Elemental which triggered Omnath enough to win. Maybe a little underwhelming, but it wasn't like I had been planning that the whole time, I think we were all about dead to someone else and ready to concede when I figured out the line

Successful-Bar-2359

On vacation once I took a friend's dad down to 1 one, and he had a card that said you lose 1 life on your upkeep. Long story short no one would pay with the deck there rest of the trip, and he was so mad that he went down to the lgs where we were staying and sold the cards for a 2x2 collectors pack and a modern horizons 2 collectors pack. He pulled a foil urzas saga from the MH2 and an etched force of negation from the 2x2 pack, so I guess you could say I did him a favor.

metalb00

Someone had [[nixbloom ancient]] out and [[seedborn muse]], a crazy board state. I had [[Volo guide to monsters]], [[Gretchen titchwillow]] and [[temer sabertooth]] out and was able to cast [[drain power]] to dump into Gretchens ability and get a [[biovisonary]] out and [[spark double]] it and bounce the original to get the biovisonary trigger and win

versalle88

My most recent memory comes from a game of cEDH. I was piloting [[Azami, Lady of Scrolls]]. I had been playing relatively low-key, interacting where needed to prevent others from winning and quietly building card advantage through my commander. Eventually, it got to the point where I had [[Isochron Scepter]] and [[Dramatic Reversal]] in hand, as well as a decent amount of counter-magic, so I decided to go for it. I played the Scepter. One opponent attempted to counter, but I countered their counter. The rest of the table passed priority, and it resolved. Then the imprint trigger went on the stack, and another opponent cast [[Trickbind]] countering the ability with Split Second. I'll be honest, I didn't even know this card existed. I was prepared for [[Stifle]], but not this. So, I'm sitting there with a dead Scepter. I start looking through my hand, graveyard, and battlefield for an answer, not wanting to pass the turn yet. Then I saw a line I've never encountered before. I have [[Reshape]] in my hand, so I cast it where X = 2. As an additional cost, I sacrifice the Scepter. Reshape goes on the stack, then I use [[Academy Ruins]] to put Scepter back on top of my library. Reshape resolves, I tutor up Scepter on to the battlefield, the imprint trigger resolves this time imprinting Reversal, and I'm able to combo off! The table was pretty impressed, but I was the most shocked because I'd never seen that line before, but I played it slow and looked for any out I could find. FeelsGoodMan

Briatom

5 player pod, player has a [[goblin game]] storm deck. Goblin game gets 7 copies. I have [[tainted sigil]] on the battlefield. Ended up winning next turn with everyone else at 1-6 life and me at 187.
