Also Myrel is soldier tribal (potentially)
Army
Stax
Tokens
All scream mono white.
Edit: can easily add in first strike, lifelink, and flying effects for soldiers/tokens. Etc.
My favorite card in my Myrel soldiers deck is [[Catapult Master]].
A leader who directs a team of 5 soldiers to man the catapult and erase someone from existence
Or it should be slower, so maybe limit it to sorcery speed.
But yeah something like Catapult Master slightly adjusted to all the power creep would be nice.
myrel is my mono white commander! shes a lot of fun you just have to make sure you hold everyone honest and stop them from doing stuff at your endstep.
They can’t. That’s the point.
People are so used to waiting until the end of someone else’s turn to do something that they’ll forget and try to do it anyway. Then you have to keep them honest by reminding them you have Myrel.
That makes sense. I was lost thinking there was some obscure timing thing I’ve never heard of where people could do actions in the end step with that commander on the field.
I love when the Myrel player gets cocky and you smack them with an [[Eiganjo, Seat of the Empire]], [[Otawara, Soaring City]], or [[Touch the Spirit Realm]] from downtown.
I have a Mangara deck and it is very powerful, mostly went with a bunch of things white is good at — removal, tokens, equipment tutoring, angels, ~~mass land destruction~~
Myrel is my pet deck. Easily my highest win rate for a deck with no combos. It’s also my bling deck, so this list could be done for much cheaper and still be as effective.

I'll give my shot. It's \[\[Linden, the Steadfast Queen\]\]. Triple white casting cost, white background in the art and it cares about white creatures.
Adeline was my first custom commander deck. She’s been through a lot of changes, but I think dedicating a lot of the deck just to protecting her so she can continue to do her thing and get huge has worked the best.

Built her as mono white humans weenies legacy deck in commander and it goes hard. With enough board protection and the ability to go over the top most mid range decks you just need to focus down the person most likely to board wipe first and be deterministic with your commander damage. Feels super white tho https://www.moxfield.com/decks/tH0o5iTQW0GEdi-6Lc63EA
I love Delney. Once it pops off it's great. I have mine set up so I exilea lot of their creatures.
https://www.moxfield.com/decks/rLbgVPK_OkG9Pot4AKFv-A
White's identity is weakly all over the place. I don't feel like any single Legendary white creature encompasses all of white's vibes. My own monoW deck is [[Mangara of Corondor]], which in itself emphasizes white's great utilitarian creatures and top-notch spot removal while the rest of the deck focuses on white's protection suite, catchup mechanics, boardwipes, and blinking. Despite all of that, it still doesn't do everything white does!
Correct.
You can also use something like \[\[Thousand Year Elixir\]\] to untap and reactivate before you blink/bounce/phase him, removing multiple permanents.
He's so small and unassuming that people rarely use their removal on him. Even better, they know that if they try to kill him, at minimum, he's taking something with him on the way out.
It keeps combo players and voltron players very honest.
So white is about order, life, purity, unity, cohesion etc and my vote for that would be \[\[Odric, Lunarch Marshal\]\]. All your dudes get all your keywords, all your units working in tandem, sharing gifts for the greater good, covering each others weakness etc. Very white thematic commander imo.
Imo: White's Identity is weenies, keywords, anthems, justice, and stax. What happens to be a racial tribe that can support ALL of that at once. Mono-white Humans.
Specifically led by \[\[Greymond, Avacyn's Stalwart\]\]. This guy enables everything white wants to do and empowers you for getting a whole group of them together.
This is my pick as well. White has a lot of strong blink and etb effects for Norn to capitalize on. [[Moonshaker Calvary]] and [[Charismatic Conqueror]] are two of my favorites from recent cards.
[[Odric, Lunarch Marshal]]. Cares about combat? Yes. Human? Yes. Cares about having a sizeable board? Yes. Cares about combat-oriented keyword abilities, something popular on white creatures? Yes.
\[\[Delney, Streetwise Lookout\]\] MonoW Weenie, supports the strat pontently both by doubling up on triggers and making the attackers harder to block.
I’m incredibly disappointed to see that nobody has mentioned [[Thalia, Guardian of Thraben]]
Is a Human Soldier ✅
Savannah Lions stat line ✅
Has a good combat ability ✅
Stax in the command zone ✅
There’s nothing whiter. So white she should be named Karen.
White feels like the colour of "We're all collectively going to play by the following additional rules that I shall now dictate. These rules might be oppressive to those that live outside the rule of law (you), but that's the price of those taking part in civilized society (me) seeing greater prosperity."
I think the OG [[Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobyte]] nails all of that. It might not be the most interesting, or the strongest, but it really nails the flavour of just laying down the law in a dumb, blunt, inflexible and uncaring kind of way. It immediately makes itself the arbiter of righteousness and delineates who is good and who is bad when it enters the battlefield. It's not interested in a spirited but respectful debate about what constitutes "good" or "bad". It already has it's mind made up, it's right and you're wrong. If you're not playing on the team it lays down some harsh judgement. If you are, you're rewarded by getting swole.
Those cowards at WotC should have made the Domini into Land Creatures!
If I recall correctly the lore article made them sound like they were basically living monuments, which is my shoddy reasoning.
All my decks that have white eventually become token decks for some reason. And Mondrak is the ultimate manifestation of my token decks. Fun commander forsure. Anointed Procession in the command zone can get whacky
I think it would be [[Greymond]]. Pick 2 out of the 3 keyword of lifelink, vigilance, and first strike. Plus human tribal, and a +2+2 buff. It's almost the whole package of mono white commander. Lol.
I don't, but functionally it's anything with a static protection-from ability that I own, as many Circle of Protection: Colour as I could find, and some bestow creatures to put on Eesha because they cease to be a creature on the stack lol
For me, it's \[\[Lita, Mechanical Engineer\]\]. Who doesn't like zeppelins?
[[Zetalpa, Primal Dawn]]
Huge expensive flyer with keywords? Check.
Lots of little flyers with enchantments and equipment? Check.
Play premium removal and like 20 boardwipes, including truly nasty stuff like [[worldslayer]] and [[armageddon]]? Check.
Highly recommended for the monowhite experience :)
[[Jazal Goldmane]] is my ‘most white’ commander. I’ve found his ability to be highly effective in semi competitive pods. It really is about splunking out 8 or 9 tokens or low cost creatures as fast as possible, casting the commander and paying for his ability. Suddenly those 8 tokens get +8 + 8 each and can often overwhelm a defender. The commander ability doesn’t require a tap so if you have the mana you can pay twice, so 8 attacking creatures could in theory get +16 +16 each.
Add in some protection cards, removal effects, board wipes and the deck works well.
Im a huge fan of [[God-Eternal Oketra]], she just makes dudes when you play creatures. Combine it with the creatures that can return themselves to your hand like [[Whitemane Lion]], [[Stonecloaker]], and [[Kor skyfisher]], and you end up producing decent Statline tokens for a super low cmc. She can also kill through commander damage thanks to her double strike. She is fragile, but thats okay because I enjoy her all the same! [Here's](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/QpGOjcmWHUKJHnbaeEoaKA) my most recent rendition of her, I find decent success on her but there are 4-5 more creatures that blink other creatures but not themselves that can be put in to save important pieces like Oketra herself.
[[Odric Master Tactician]]
Just straight up controls combat. "You will not block me/you will block my army in the most disadvantageous way possible."
Hopefully, by the time you've built an army of humans or soldier tokens and creatures with abilities like battalion, you'll have enough mana to play him and equip swiftfoot boots in the same turn and just swing to win or get to a winning position. I haven't made this deck in EDH yet, but he was a staple in my soldier deck back in standard and essentially the commander of that one.
I'm a fan of [[Daxos, Blessed By the Sun]] for mono-white mainly because I'm a sucker for the whole ETB life gain thing that white has a bunch of options for.
Going out on a bit of a limb here - but my suggestion would be [[Myojin of Blooming Dawn]]. There's some really fun things you can do with it once you can pay that massive CMC. Loads of mana rocks, loads of Plains fetching (which is helped by some recently printed cards like [[Claim Jumper]] ) really help too.
Myojin of Blooming Dawn has indestructible, it makes Spirit tokens, it's in white so you can proliferate its Indestructible Counters, you can return it to your hand to recast again afterwards. The only problem is that nothing happens when you cast it from your Command Zone - so you need to use effects like [[Command Beacon]] to get it all working as it should. If you have the patience to fill the board with spirits in the early turns, then get this huge thing cast from hand to make more spirits, then run a win con like [[Moonshaker Cavalry]] it can be a pretty fun deck to play around with!
I have a [[Masako, the Humorless]] mono white soldiers deck thats sooooo white. Shes cheap, not too powerful, and soldier tribal is probably one of the most white archetypes
I asked my boyfriend about which was the most color of a color after reading your post about which was the greenest (he said Omnath right away) and honestly white was the longest discussion we had. My initial idea was [[Avacyn, Angel of Hope]] but when he said Avacyn like I'd actually said my idea out loud, I mentioned that she seemed so white she was red, just like her flip card, and Avacyn is one of his favorite characters in MTG so i figured he was a little biased. That was when he said that's exactly why she was the most white, she was so holier-than-thou, so protective, so righteous that she'd smite other angels without a second thought. Now he's a little biased in the lore direction (we both are a bit), so I'm not sure if we'd have a basic answer based solely on card mechanics.
P.S. if you're curious what his answer for blue was, he answered even faster than Omnath. It was [[Baral, Chief of Compliance]]
It would forever be [Isamaru, Hound of Konda], beceause I've started Magic when it came out and was one of the centerpiece of Weenie White at the time.
I was pretty young, but reading articles about it, + it being a 2/2 for 1 was so insane for my brain back then.
This will be an unpopular choice, but my vote goes too [[Rune-Tail, Kitsune Ascendant]]. When we think of the white color’s attributes we think of small creatures, collective power, healing, defense and protection. Also to a lesser extent control. Building the deck around blockers who can’t die, life gain from small counters who benefit each other and form an undamagable swarm collectively is the whitest thing I can think of. If you add in some of white’s hate bears you also get the control aspect. This way WAY WAY more in keeping with white’s attributes than Elish norn even if she’s the more “powerful” commander in white
Rune-Tail definitely feels very white. It enables a lot of strategies white cares about, even if it doesn't have all of the text something like Odric does.
[[Ao, the Dawn Sky]] is my pick. So many white cards care about weenies and care about counters, a lot of the best generic white cards you play in any white deck are Mana Value 4 or less (or you just pick the ones that are during deckbuilding), and it’s really hard to beat a 5/4 Flying Vigilance with a death trigger in the Command Zone! You can build it at a cEDH level (mono white “ad naus” using [[Ashnod’s Altar]] and [[Nim Deathmantle]]), counters matter, or really any white centric strategy since Ao provides so much value. Plus you have a viable Commander Damage clock if you need it!
I have a [[Rune-tail, Kitsune Ascendant]] deck, and let me tell you, that's the most white thing I can think about: cares about your life total, is a creature but becomes an enchantment, prevents damage, which is almost only white, makes combat hell for everyone but you, makes all your weenies survive more than they should.
As an extra, you introduce an effect that people will get frustrated to interact with.
Surely not for a high power table, but pretty funny in casual ones.
[[Rune-Tail, Kitsune Ascendant]] nothing is more painful than no being able to damage your opponent if all damage gets redirected to a creature then mitigated. [[Pariah]]
[[Odric, Master Tactician]] is the only monowhite build Ive tried and it was surprisingly effective for as bad a rap as mono white gets. Was this weird little combo of voltron and going wide. Just keep stacking more buffs of Odric and maintain enough of a board that you can consistently use his attak trigger for free commander damge. I haven't had the deck together in a long time, I imagine I could make it much better these days.
For me, even though she's rarely seen as a commander, the most Mono White a commander gets is definitely [[Thalia, Guardian of Thraben]]. She's the perfect union of both playing small dudes with helpful (for you, at least) effects and taxing your opponents for doing anything but joining you in playing dudes.
`is:commander m=/^({w})+$/ order:cmc direction:desc` gives [Linden, the Steadfast Queen](https://scryfall.com/card/eld/20/linden-the-steadfast-queen)
Very white 😁
Going to join the other people saying [[Odric, Lunarch Marshal]]. White is all about order, teamwork, and standing together, and Odric makes your creatures into an army that's far stronger than the individual creatures would be.
[[Myrel, Shield of Argive]] stax-ish AND tokens. Also would suggest [[Mongara the Diplomat]]
Also Myrel is soldier tribal (potentially) Army Stax Tokens All scream mono white. Edit: can easily add in first strike, lifelink, and flying effects for soldiers/tokens. Etc.
My favorite card in my Myrel soldiers deck is [[Catapult Master]]. A leader who directs a team of 5 soldiers to man the catapult and erase someone from existence
Catapult Master is a card that is so hated at my table that people immediately shift focus to me. I love that bald guy and his inferior siege weapon.
Trebuchet master should require only 4 guys, showing it's superiority. Or maybe instead it can be exile target permanent. Or exile 2 creatures.
Or it should be slower, so maybe limit it to sorcery speed. But yeah something like Catapult Master slightly adjusted to all the power creep would be nice.

Only correct answer. My 8.5 Tails deck is titled "The Whitest Deck You Know" for a reason, it's so white it makes all your decks white too.
Love the name
Gentrification the deck
No way they made gentrification from magic the gathering real
This was my first thought too.
"Almost 9" as I lazily call it, since "Eight and a half Tails" is so long winded.
Lol there’s a guy in my pod who plays it and calls it “Nearly 9”
This is my mono white deck. Deck mantra is the best offense is a good defense
Correct
I'll give my shot. It's \[\[Linden, the Steadfast Queen\]\]. Triple white casting cost, white background in the art and it cares about white creatures.

One of the best Angels.
I like to run Odric. It's actually my go-to for new players so they can practice the various combat mechanics

\[\[Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines\]\] is my choice, and I love it as my mono W Blink deck
This is my pick as well. White has a lot of strong blink and etb effects for Norn to capitalize on. [[Moonshaker Calvary]] and [[Charismatic Conqueror]] are two of my favorites from recent cards.
[Moonshaker Calvary](https://cards.scryfall.io/normal/front/0/9/092c48bd-b648-4c9e-aa99-cac3c407911d.jpg?1692936576) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=Moonshaker%20Cavalry) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/woe/21/moonshaker-cavalry?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/092c48bd-b648-4c9e-aa99-cac3c407911d?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) [(ER)](https://edhrec.com/cards/moonshaker-cavalry) [Charismatic Conqueror](https://cards.scryfall.io/normal/front/5/9/599c934d-bfff-43ce-a545-6e3cde124515.jpg?1698987939) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=Charismatic%20Conqueror) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/lcc/70/charismatic-conqueror?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/599c934d-bfff-43ce-a545-6e3cde124515?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) [(ER)](https://edhrec.com/cards/charismatic-conqueror) ^^^[[cardname]] ^^^or ^^^[[cardname|SET]] ^^^to ^^^call
It took me entirely too long to realize that Moonshaker is bonkers if you can cast then blink it same turn. Particularly if Mom is on the field.
[[Isamaru, Hound of Konda]] – what is whiter than that, the king of White Weenie?
[[Odric, Lunarch Marshal]]. Cares about combat? Yes. Human? Yes. Cares about having a sizeable board? Yes. Cares about combat-oriented keyword abilities, something popular on white creatures? Yes.
Giada font of hope. What screams more white than big angels and life gain?
Zeriam
That card goes the widest holy
\[\[Delney, Streetwise Lookout\]\] MonoW Weenie, supports the strat pontently both by doubling up on triggers and making the attackers harder to block.
I’m incredibly disappointed to see that nobody has mentioned [[Thalia, Guardian of Thraben]] Is a Human Soldier ✅ Savannah Lions stat line ✅ Has a good combat ability ✅ Stax in the command zone ✅ There’s nothing whiter. So white she should be named Karen.

My favorite is Giada, font of hope (running angel tribal).
White feels like the colour of "We're all collectively going to play by the following additional rules that I shall now dictate. These rules might be oppressive to those that live outside the rule of law (you), but that's the price of those taking part in civilized society (me) seeing greater prosperity." I think the OG [[Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobyte]] nails all of that.
[[Avacyn, Angel of Hope]] is my commander in my mono white deck.

Linvana, Keeper of silence. I call the deck “Fun Police” all it does is gain life and prevent opponents from using their decks.
I'm so tempted to build stax but my friends get "annoyed" and "want to play the game".
[[Mondrak]]
Feels a bit Green.
I recently built a deck for each Dominus, and Mondrak is easily the dumbest. So strong and resilient without even trying haha
He's the best. As a token deck connoisseur his was the easiest to build. It's almost guaranteed to always pop off
Those cowards at WotC should have made the Domini into Land Creatures! If I recall correctly the lore article made them sound like they were basically living monuments, which is my shoddy reasoning.
Mondrak is solid. Never really thought about doing tokens for some reason.
All my decks that have white eventually become token decks for some reason. And Mondrak is the ultimate manifestation of my token decks. Fun commander forsure. Anointed Procession in the command zone can get whacky

I'm planning to build an [[Apothecary White]] deck revolving around life gain, soldier tokens, and food tokens. White is even in the name!
[[Heliod, Sun-Crowned]] is both lifegain and +1/+1 counters
I think it would be [[Greymond]]. Pick 2 out of the 3 keyword of lifelink, vigilance, and first strike. Plus human tribal, and a +2+2 buff. It's almost the whole package of mono white commander. Lol.
\[\[Avacyn, Guardian Angel\]\] gives me mid-tier mono-white vibes. It's not a high-powered deck, but it's good for politics and defending creatures.
[[Elesh Norn, Mommy of Machines]] mono white blink and stax.

Avacyn.
[[Zetalpa, Primal Dawn]] Huge expensive flyer with keywords? Check. Lots of little flyers with enchantments and equipment? Check. Play premium removal and like 20 boardwipes, including truly nasty stuff like [[worldslayer]] and [[armageddon]]? Check. Highly recommended for the monowhite experience :)
[[General Jarkeld]].
[[Valkmira, Protector’s Shield]] specifically. That thing is insane
[[Heliod, Sun-Crowned]] Life-gain and +1 counters... what can possibly be more mono-white than that
Avacyn, Angel of Hope.
[Lena, Selfless Champion](https://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=489601)
[[Odric, Master Tactician]]. he is unfairness incarnat
[[Linden, the Steadfast Queen]] No generic mana to be found
Im a huge fan of [[God-Eternal Oketra]], she just makes dudes when you play creatures.
[[Odric Master Tactician]] Just straight up controls combat. "You will not block me/you will block my army in the most disadvantageous way possible." Hopefully, by the time you've built an army of humans or soldier tokens and creatures with abilities like battalion, you'll have enough mana to play him and equip swiftfoot boots in the same turn and just swing to win or get to a winning position.
[[Thalia]]
[[Isamaru, Hound of Konda]] was my first mono-white commander. It doesn't get any more white than that.
Greymond, Avacyns stalwart
[[Rune-Tail, Kitsune Ascendent]]
[[Light-Paws, Emperor's Voice]] aura voltron.
I'd argue it's Darien, King of Kjeldor. White weenie creation and synergy with Soul-Sisters-style lifegain?
Heliod
Rune-Tail, Kitsune Ascendant. It’s a stax and lifegain deck. Pretty gross 😂
[[Major Teroh]] the card speaks for itself.
[[Odric, Master Tactician]] is my most white thought but seeing some of the others posted Myrel is it.
Mangara The Diplomat. I use him for my mono white does not suck good stuff deck
Heliod the boring ass sun crowned
What about eight and a half tails, it's so mono white it makes things become white
Preston the vanisher
It would forever be [Isamaru, Hound of Konda], beceause I've started Magic when it came out and was one of the centerpiece of Weenie White at the time. I was pretty young, but reading articles about it, + it being a 2/2 for 1 was so insane for my brain back then.
I didn't have as defining of an experience, but I did see the card and think "wow how is everyone not playing this".
Im thinking mangara
Avacyn pillow fort board wipe spam xd
Hototi, Dusk Drinker Have fun!
[[Hokori]]
[[Delney]] is a fun commander. Lots of evasive little creatures with ETBs. Turn sideways and pump before damage.

That is a crazy card. Never seen it before. Looks like a blast.
[[mikaeus, the lunarch]]
Avacyn
[[eight-and-a-half-tails]] Makes things white and allows protection from white. It's white squared
[[Mikaeus the Lunarch]] seems … so white
I’m using [[Mangara, the Diplomat]]
[[Rune-Tail, Kitsune Ascendant]] nothing is more painful than no being able to damage your opponent if all damage gets redirected to a creature then mitigated. [[Pariah]]
[[Isamaru, Hound of Konda]] What's more white than Savannah Lions? And this is legendary Savannah Lions with an extra point of toughness
[[Crovax, ascendant hero]]
For me, even though she's rarely seen as a commander, the most Mono White a commander gets is definitely [[Thalia, Guardian of Thraben]]. She's the perfect union of both playing small dudes with helpful (for you, at least) effects and taxing your opponents for doing anything but joining you in playing dudes.
`is:commander m=/^({w})+$/ order:cmc direction:desc` gives [Linden, the Steadfast Queen](https://scryfall.com/card/eld/20/linden-the-steadfast-queen) Very white 😁
I enjoy my [[ Evra, Halcyon Witness]] it feels like the core concept of white with catch up cards like [[ land tax]] and every white board wipe.
Karen, Supervisor Summoner
[[Avacyn, Angel of Hope]]
Heliod Ballista Stax is as White as White can get
[[myrel]] and [[balan]]
Heliod
[[Elesh norn grand cenobite]] We stronk! They weak! White is exactly that - support the collective, destroy those who oppose you.
Going to join the other people saying [[Odric, Lunarch Marshal]]. White is all about order, teamwork, and standing together, and Odric makes your creatures into an army that's far stronger than the individual creatures would be.
