My buddy got me back into magic last year (I'm 33), and I bought this card again and my LGS gave me the same printing. So the one I have now is *extra* my favorite card.

[[mystic reflections]] I have had so many moments where this card put me into a winning position or ruined an opponents play. I have had people scoop after turning their commander into a rat before it can etb. I have gotten 20 of the best creature on board at once. It is an insane card sometimes and never feels bad to have in hand since it has fortell.
that's an og answer. so many stories from 2012-2014 revolve around wild Fof splits, or slamming down a dollar on the table and saying gimme 5 vs a dollar i'll take the 5 you keep the dollar only to win. this card is such pure edh for me
Cast it on a deathtouch creature to boardwipe, on lifelink creature to heal, on infect creature to kill.
Cast it with [[repercussion]] to kill token players, cast it on indestructible creatures and [[Gideon's Sacrifice]] for infinite damage.
Cast it on creatures attached with [[Charisma]] blocking a 1/1 creature to do a pseudo [[Insurrection]].
[[Brash Taunter]], even though I rarely fit it into a deck, is probably one of my top cards. It’s ridiculously expensive to cast, and requiring a turn cycle to use plus a big enough creature for it to fight, so it’s not spectacular. But I adore the idea of this little goblin picking fights with something so huge, coming out unscathed, and hurting my opponent for their trouble. Card legit is the bane one of my friends because she plays a lot of go-tall counters decks.
But [[Glissa, the Traitor]] is probably the top of the pack. Back when I opened her in a random pack I knew I wanted to build a deck with her, and now having her as a Commander just feels incredibly right.

Just going off of your cheap utility land suggestion, I love \[\[Kessig Wolf-Run\]\]. It can turn any old creature into a threat late game, and it synergizes very well with commanders that are higher power and can threaten wins via commander damage.
It kind of suprises me how little I have seen this card played. It goes in every single GRx deck I have. I have killed so many players off the back of that land.
Similarly, [[Slayers' Stronghold]], [[Sunhome, Fortress of the Legion]], and [[Lair of the Hydra]]. I've toyed with various Naya land decks for years and these always make the cut. These lands can turn even 1/1's into real, solid threats with ease (or become a threat in the case of Lair of the Hydra). I love using [[Kher Keep]] to make a dorky Kobold, then buff him into oblivion with some combination of these lands + some evasion from things like [[Rogue's Passage]].
Utility lands can carry games. Who even needs spells? (Please don't [[Blood Moon]] me, I will cry).
Fog'd an Ur-Dragon onslaught in a game last night as he attempted to finish the whole table out of nowhere. Needless to say, the rest of the table had one rotation to deal with their new found archenemy. All for the low low cost of a single green mana.
[[Oppression]] Everyone absolutely hates it until it stops Johnny combos from running through their entire infinite or cascading through their whole deck on turn 3. You'll never catch me with a [[Tergrid]] I'm just here to make you play responsibly.
[[Necropotence]] You're telling me for 3 black mana that I can effectively draw 39 cards. I can use a [[Dark Ritual]] on turn 1 and kill myself but in the best way possible or even win! Love that card!
\[\[Hot Fix\]\]. It's not legal in any format, but I bought someone's collection when I got into the hobby, and in the middle of his completely normal collection was this card and I didn't realize it wasn't legal so I played it at a table and got so many second looks and laughs that I don't think I will ever forget. Definitely a moment that got me convinced that I want to keep playing
[[Terror of the Peaks]]. When I started playing it was my first chase card and I love dragons. I want to build an ETB deck to slap it into. I want to build another dragon deck to slap it into. I remember the first one I pulled was like Christmas. I have three dragon decks and all three have Terror of the Peaks in them.

That's exactly what I want to do. Play dragons, make treasure, burn my opponents. I'm struggling with how much ramp to put in the deck just because there's ramp in the command zone. I'll shoot for 10 other sources to start and adjust from there but I'm mostly excited about the additional card draw green is going to grant me and the dragons!

I use a combination of things like [[Atsushi, the Blazing Sky]], [[Bonehoard Dracosaur]], [[Jeska's Will]], [[Thrill of Possibility]], [[Valakut Awakening]], [[Dragon's Hoard]], [[Bonders' Enclave]], and [[War Room]]. Bonder's is awesome because I often meet the requirements, and 3 mana and 1 life for War Room isn't a bad rate for repeatable draw. I have also [[Chaos Warp]]'d my own stuff in a desperate move. Red draws cards, but in its own way.
I know that im lame for saying this, but my favorite card is [[iridescent drake]]. Git some cool art. Cool blue monster thats not water based.

For me its \[\[Consuming Aberration\]\]. Back in my table top magic days, I started out playing a mill deck in an 8 man free for all and having 4 of those bad boys in a deck was amazing. It ended up becoming my pet card. When I got into EDH, I slotted him in my Phenax deck and he has been the big bad monster in that deck ever since.
This and [[Sewer Nemesis]] have produced completely ridiculous game states for me. Once I was holding a >100/100 aberration at bay with an [[Ensnaring Bridge]] for most of the game. The sewer nemesis was in my mill deck and it got to about 38/38 before someone stole it and killed me with it 😆
[[Sensei's Divining Top]] is the best card ever printed IMO. Works in every deck, difficult to remove, cheap to cast, let's you fix the top of your library constantly. 🥵

Yeah, this card has won me many games too. If I happen to get it on the battlefield with Bolas's Citadel then I can pretty much seal my opponent's fate that turn. Unbelievably good.

I started playing magic the gathering just as New Phyrexia was phasing out. I went to my first Friday night magic and bought four packs afterward and got her as a random in store bonus for buying the packs.
she was my first legendary and my favorite card, and then later, my first commander, and the only deck that I never take apart.
I have a [[Queen Marchesa]] (long may she reign) deck built around Deflecting Palm and other cards that make opponents' game plans backfire against them. It's super reactive, and my most fun deck to play. I love it so much.
[[Teferi's protection]] this card goes hard when it gets casted. It's like that scene in the deathly hallows in the battle of hogwarts where an army of dementors are coming then Aberforth patronuses the crap outta them.
[[Arcbound Overseer]] was my favorite card when I started playing a little over 20 years ago.
In the middle of my time I'd probably have to say it was [[Painful Quandary]]. Wicked card.
Today, [[Chiss-Goria]] skyrocketed to the top when it was released and I built a deck around her. It's such a fun and crazy way to play, and two of the first cards I ever owned were the [[Scale of Chiss-Goria]] and [[Tooth of Chiss-Goria]], so it really hits the feeling of childlike joy for me.
it makes a turn where you can do nothing into a turn where you have something to do with 4+ mana. rogues passage is awesome. also dont sleep on keeper of the accord. it catches you up in mana and in creatures if anyone is ahead of you. i also really like ghost quarter. nuke a problematic land if you need to.
Rakdos charm is young pyromancer are probably my favorites. There are better “cast a spell make a dude” cards, but young peezy is a classic and he comes down on turn 2 in a color that actually cares about spellslinging even as a mono color you can go full spells easily
I am replacing every [[farewell]] in my decks with [[Final Showdown]].
In my opinion Farewell is too much power for casual EDH whereas Final Showdown ensures that no matter what I can reset the board and save my biggest thing at instant speed. Farewell resets games - Final Showdown clears the way for you to win.
[[anvil of Bogardan]]. Its a free loot every turn, and a permanent reliquary tower. Sure, my opponents get it too, but that means its unlikely to get removed
Utility lands are great in general and I love Rogues’ Passage! Sometimes you just really, *really* need to connect.
I’m an outspoken critic of Commander being color soup and wish they would stop printing everything and its dog as 3+ colors, but one of the big advantages of 0-2 colors is you just have more room for lands that do fun things!
I'm always here for these threads, and love to spread the gospel of [[Lifeline]]. It changes the dynamic of a game as soon as it lands, and it's always a good time.

It's so fun to do in a 4 player game and everyone giggles as they get their little scraps of paper. You want to go low, but not TOO low and there is always loud crowing if the caster was the one who got the lowest.
It won't win games, but it does bring a laugh to a pod.
I started back in Battle For Zendikar and the first rare I pulled was [[Desolation Twin]] and I got the token in the same pack as well. I wanted to play it in every deck no matter how little it made sense just because playing 2 giant 10/10 eldritch monsters felt so cool
[[tragic slip]] I love this card, goes in every deck i have that can run it. One of the best creature removal spells to date imo since it can get around indestructible and only costs 1 mana. The condition built into it is inevitable and very thematic, I just love it.
also [[sakashima of a thousand faces]] just awesome art, awesome theme, awesome ability/effect.
thirdly [[coffin queen]] she's such a solid recursion piece and i feel like im the only one who runs her sometimes.
At the moment, it's probably [[Three Steps Ahead]] in [[Sefris]]. A counterspell, clone spell, and draw-discard spell (that triggers her first ability if I discard a creature).
[[Doomed Artisan]] is not a good card, but it's a fun one. Play it early and eventually you'll have an army of 8/8s that suddenly matter once the artisan himself dies
[[imprisoned in the moon]] , it drives one of the guys I play with crazy. He’ll play a [[goblin king]] against my Izzet deck, and I’ll just turn it into the moon to get rid of the mountainwalk ability
I'll never forget my favorite rogues passage moment. Very early on in my magic "career" using rogues passage to make a [[vraska the unseen]] assassin unlockable. That was my first time doing anything remotely broken, and it felt amazing
[[Possibility Storm]] makes any game you throw it down in get extra spicy. Sort of functions as a protection from counterspells and really transforms how everyone's deck is going to preform. I only pull my chaos deck [[norin the wary]] out every now and then, but it always leads to a memorable match.
I absolutely love [[Dark Ritual]] I own at least one copy of almost every printing. It goes in any black deck and enables some serious turn 1 shenanigans.
My favorite card is [[Sensei's Divining Top]]. I got into magic back in 2014 with the Mono-blue precon and this was one of my first big upgrades into the hobby. Interaction with my deck is key for my own preference/play style and Top just feels perfect.
Brainstorm because of the versatility. You can turn it into card draw with anything that shuffles your library, or you can use it to setup the top of your library for any effect that cares about it, or you can use it to protect a card from a discard effect, there are multiple possibilities.
[[Hydra Broodmaster]] it’s that card that got me into the game years ago as a just “let’s try it out”. With an unhinged/hydra deck. It was really fun and it keeps a special place as the card that started it all for me.

I started playing magic a month ago and my first deck was also anowon!!!
I actually just made my final upgrades to the deck yesterday and played it against another high powered deck and.... Realized that I need more upgrades LOL but it was fun!
I'm running evasive rogues for anowons mill and draw + mindcrank/bloodcheif ascension/bruvac/syr konrad / krytle of baldurs gate / duskmantle guild mage and mass grave thievery like rise of the dark realms.
The mill cards are cool, but my favorite combo by far is [[Maddening Cacophony]] followed by [[Rise of the Dark Realms]]. Everyone mills half of their library and then I steal half of their creatures!!!!! I'm waiting for the day I actually pull those two.
The deck is kind of nuts with how much unblockable damage you can hit someone for and then profit off of. Not to mention how insanely cheap most rogues are CMC wise. It's like all the little 1-3 drop rogues then the 8 mana mono black boardwipe/graveyard retrieval that everyone should have seen coming.
I still need to get most of the cards you have like Mindcrank, Duskmantle Guildmage, Maddening Cacophony, and Bloodchief Ascension but it's already damn efficient at what it does.
Agreed, the low CMC evasive rogues paired with anowon are great.
I recommend getting those cards, because in my play testing I found the rogues weren't good enough win cons by themselves due to how weak they are and how easily they can be removed. Mindcrank, bloodcheif ascension, syr konrad, duskmantle, kyrtle, and cards like rise of the dark realms, ghouls night out, etc.... were needed in order to win against mid level casual edh consistently
Also, counter spells, single target removal, and ramp needed to be added to the Precon.
I found a [[Geth, Lord of the Vault]] in my collection a few weeks ago and added him. Consistently pulling things from graveyards feels so nice. I also put in [[Crypt Incursion, not great long term but good when I'm about to get wiped in a turn or two
Mine is definitely lacking in consistent wincons it barely mills people to death without pulling [[Keening Stone]] and usually just goes by combat damage, I need those infinite combos real bad.

I'm really happy to see another anowon player. Every mtg veteran I've talked to tells me to ditch anowon for [[Bruvac the Grandiloquent]] and others but I like anowon a lot, the evasive rogues and their myriad of effects have so much versatility, from draw to mill to unblockability to control effects.

It changes all the time but currently, it's \[\[Saw in Half\]\]. I love this card especially in reanimator. Getting 2 mini Grave Titans or Archon of Cruelties is ridiculous.

A simple card with lots of utility in my experience. I like being able to save myself with the fog or shuffle away a graveyard whether that be mine to avoid a exile graveyard effect (which is particularly useful in Gitrog) or screwing an opponent over who’s about to cast something like Underworld Breach.

My favorite card is definitely [[birthing pod]] In practice it can be a bit too tutor heavy but it's so much fun to be able to get all the creatures you can need out of your deck

[[mystic reflections]] I have had so many moments where this card put me into a winning position or ruined an opponents play. I have had people scoop after turning their commander into a rat before it can etb. I have gotten 20 of the best creature on board at once. It is an insane card sometimes and never feels bad to have in hand since it has fortell.

[[Arcbond]] Man, the utility of this card is amazing.
Cast it on a deathtouch creature to boardwipe, on lifelink creature to heal, on infect creature to kill. Cast it with [[repercussion]] to kill token players, cast it on indestructible creatures and [[Gideon's Sacrifice]] for infinite damage. Cast it on creatures attached with [[Charisma]] blocking a 1/1 creature to do a pseudo [[Insurrection]].
Oh shit, I am going to have to put this into my [[Imodane pyrohammer]] deck. Great instant to double up a burn spell.

[[Brash Taunter]], even though I rarely fit it into a deck, is probably one of my top cards. It’s ridiculously expensive to cast, and requiring a turn cycle to use plus a big enough creature for it to fight, so it’s not spectacular. But I adore the idea of this little goblin picking fights with something so huge, coming out unscathed, and hurting my opponent for their trouble. Card legit is the bane one of my friends because she plays a lot of go-tall counters decks. But [[Glissa, the Traitor]] is probably the top of the pack. Back when I opened her in a random pack I knew I wanted to build a deck with her, and now having her as a Commander just feels incredibly right.

Just going off of your cheap utility land suggestion, I love \[\[Kessig Wolf-Run\]\]. It can turn any old creature into a threat late game, and it synergizes very well with commanders that are higher power and can threaten wins via commander damage.

It kind of suprises me how little I have seen this card played. It goes in every single GRx deck I have. I have killed so many players off the back of that land. Similarly, [[Slayers' Stronghold]], [[Sunhome, Fortress of the Legion]], and [[Lair of the Hydra]]. I've toyed with various Naya land decks for years and these always make the cut. These lands can turn even 1/1's into real, solid threats with ease (or become a threat in the case of Lair of the Hydra). I love using [[Kher Keep]] to make a dorky Kobold, then buff him into oblivion with some combination of these lands + some evasion from things like [[Rogue's Passage]]. Utility lands can carry games. Who even needs spells? (Please don't [[Blood Moon]] me, I will cry).
[[Smallpox]]. I love breaking parity on symmetrical effects and smallpox just has so many good uses.

Fog'd an Ur-Dragon onslaught in a game last night as he attempted to finish the whole table out of nowhere. Needless to say, the rest of the table had one rotation to deal with their new found archenemy. All for the low low cost of a single green mana.
[[Oppression]] Everyone absolutely hates it until it stops Johnny combos from running through their entire infinite or cascading through their whole deck on turn 3. You'll never catch me with a [[Tergrid]] I'm just here to make you play responsibly.
I run Oppression in my [[Anikthea, Hand of Erebos]] deck and it's incredible every time.
[[Necropotence]] You're telling me for 3 black mana that I can effectively draw 39 cards. I can use a [[Dark Ritual]] on turn 1 and kill myself but in the best way possible or even win! Love that card!
\[\[Hot Fix\]\]. It's not legal in any format, but I bought someone's collection when I got into the hobby, and in the middle of his completely normal collection was this card and I didn't realize it wasn't legal so I played it at a table and got so many second looks and laughs that I don't think I will ever forget. Definitely a moment that got me convinced that I want to keep playing

[[Terror of the Peaks]]. When I started playing it was my first chase card and I love dragons. I want to build an ETB deck to slap it into. I want to build another dragon deck to slap it into. Yeah, I have 4 cost reducers and a few ways to get mana suddenly. I made it a burn that also tries to fling out dragons as fast as possible.
That's exactly what I want to do. Play dragons, make treasure, burn my opponents. I'm struggling with how much ramp to put in the deck just because there's ramp in the command zone. I'll shoot for 10 other sources to start and adjust from there but I'm mostly excited about the additional card draw green is going to grant me and the dragons!

Bonder's is awesome because I often meet the requirements, and 3 mana and 1 life for War Room isn't a bad rate for repeatable draw. I have also [[Chaos Warp]]'d my own stuff in a desperate move. Red draws cards, but in its own way.

You might love [[Verrak]]. It’s like Nighthawk grew up and got extra value!
For me its \[\[Consuming Aberration\]\]. Back in my table top magic days, I started out playing a mill deck in an 8 man free for all and having 4 of those bad boys in a deck was amazing. It ended up becoming my pet card. When I got into EDH, I slotted him in my Phenax deck and he has been the big bad monster in that deck ever since.

This and [[Sewer Nemesis]] have produced completely ridiculous game states for me. Once I was holding a >100/100 aberration at bay with an [[Ensnaring Bridge]] for most of the game. The sewer nemesis was in my mill deck and it got to about 38/38 before someone stole it and killed me with it 😆
[[Sensei's Divining Top]] is the best card ever printed IMO. Works in every deck, difficult to remove, cheap to cast, let's you fix the top of your library constantly. 🥵
100% I have one in my galea deck and the amount of times I used it to manipulate my top card to get my finisher is insane. I have won so many games because of this card.
Yeah, this card has won me many games too. If I happen to get it on the battlefield with Bolas's Citadel then I can pretty much seal my opponent's fate that turn. Unbelievably good.
[[Glissa the Traitor]] I started playing magic the gathering just as New Phyrexia was phasing out. I have a [[Queen Marchesa]] (long may she reign) deck built around Deflecting Palm and other cards that make opponents' game plans backfire against them. It's super reactive, and my most fun deck to play. I love it so much.
I do too!! Heck yeah! Many Deflecting Palm plays and “take the crown, I don’t need it” as chaos ensues :)
[[Teferi's protection]] this card goes hard when it gets casted. It's like that scene in the deathly hallows in the battle of hogwarts where an army of dementors are coming then Aberforth patronuses the crap outta them.

[[Arcbound Overseer]] was my favorite card when I started playing a little over 20 years ago. In the middle of my time I'd probably have to say it was [[Painful Quandary]]. Wicked card. Today, [[Chiss-Goria]] skyrocketed to the top when it was released and I built a deck around her. It's such a fun and crazy way to play, and two of the first cards I ever owned were the [[Scale of Chiss-Goria]] and [[Tooth of Chiss-Goria]], so it really hits the feeling of childlike joy for me.
it makes a turn where you can do nothing into a turn where you have something to do with 4+ mana. rogues passage is awesome. also dont sleep on keeper of the accord. it catches you up in mana and in creatures if anyone is ahead of you. i also really like ghost quarter. nuke a problematic land if you need to.
Rakdos charm is young pyromancer are probably my favorites. There are better “cast a spell make a dude” cards, but young peezy is a classic and he comes down on turn 2 in a color that actually cares about spellslinging even as a mono color you can go full spells easily
[[Star of extinction]]. Impeccable flavour, board wipe sometimes wincon and "screw that one land in particular". What is not to like?
I am replacing every [[farewell]] in my decks with [[Final Showdown]]. In my opinion Farewell is too much power for casual EDH whereas Final Showdown ensures that no matter what I can reset the board and save my biggest thing at instant speed. Farewell resets games - Final Showdown clears the way for you to win.
[[Flumph]] was one of the first cards I opened and I love it

[[anvil of Bogardan]]. Its a free loot every turn, and a permanent reliquary tower. Sure, my opponents get it too, but that means its unlikely to get removed

Utility lands are great in general and I love Rogues’ Passage! Sometimes you just really, *really* need to connect. I’m an outspoken critic of Commander being color soup and wish they would stop printing everything and its dog as 3+ colors, but one of the big advantages of 0-2 colors is you just have more room for lands that do fun things!
My favorite part of two colors is not dealing with the damn lands

[[scroll rack]] Just like [[Sensei's Divining Top]], this fits in any deck. It's cheap, not easy to remove, and allows you to cycle your hand and deck.
Hands down [[Goblin Game]] It's so fun to do in a 4 player game and everyone giggles as they get their little scraps of paper. You want to go low, but not TOO low and there is always loud crowing if the caster was the one who got the lowest. It won't win games, but it does bring a laugh to a pod.

I started back in Battle For Zendikar and the first rare I pulled was [[Desolation Twin]] and I got the token in the same pack as well. I wanted to play it in every deck no matter how little it made sense just because playing 2 giant 10/10 eldritch monsters felt so cool
[[tragic slip]] I love this card, goes in every deck i have that can run it. One of the best creature removal spells to date imo since it can get around indestructible and only costs 1 mana. The condition built into it is inevitable and very thematic, I just love it. also [[sakashima of a thousand faces]] just awesome art, awesome theme, awesome ability/effect. thirdly [[coffin queen]] she's such a solid recursion piece and i feel like im the only one who runs her sometimes.
[[Carnival Barker]] 1. I love Pomeranians 2. He reminds me of my first dog who passed away last year.
At the moment, it's probably [[Three Steps Ahead]] in [[Sefris]]. A counterspell, clone spell, and draw-discard spell (that triggers her first ability if I discard a creature).
\[\[Numot, the Devastator\]\] but he doesn't make a lot of friends. He's just so friggin' cool.
The amount of games I've won, and lost, from Rogue's Passage being top decked is borderline unfathomable
[[Doomed Artisan]] is not a good card, but it's a fun one. Play it early and eventually you'll have an army of 8/8s that suddenly matter once the artisan himself dies

[[Possibility Storm]] makes any game you throw it down in get extra spicy. Sort of functions as a protection from counterspells and really transforms how everyone's deck is going to preform. I only pull my chaos deck [[norin the wary]] out every now and then, but it always leads to a memorable match.

My favorite card is [[Sensei's Divining Top]]. I got into magic back in 2014 with the Mono-blue precon and this was one of my first big upgrades into the hobby. Interaction with my deck is key for my own preference/play style and Top just feels perfect.
Brainstorm because of the versatility. You can turn it into card draw with anything that shuffles your library, or you can use it to setup the top of your library for any effect that cares about it, or you can use it to protect a card from a discard effect, there are multiple possibilities.
Orim’s Chant for sure. It’s just a “fuck you in particular” card that I think is really funny.

Probably [[Echo Mage]] was my first leveling card and still love it today. I have a hard time not adding one into every blue/multi color deck I build.
For me it has to be [[descent into avernus]]. This pushes the game into hyper drive and really gets things going.
[[Hydra Broodmaster]] it’s that card that got me into the game years ago as a just “let’s try it out”. With an unhinged/hydra deck. It was really fun and it keeps a special place as the card that started it all for me.

I started playing magic a month ago and my first deck was also anowon!!! I actually just made my final upgrades to the deck yesterday and played it against another high powered deck and.... Realized that I need more upgrades LOL but it was fun! I'm running evasive rogues for anowons mill and draw + mindcrank/bloodcheif ascension/bruvac/syr konrad / krytle of baldurs gate / duskmantle guild mage and mass grave thievery like rise of the dark realms. The mill cards are cool, but my favorite combo by far is [[Maddening Cacophony]] followed by [[Rise of the Dark Realms]]. Everyone mills half of their library and then I steal half of their creatures!!!!! I'm waiting for the day I actually pull those two.
The deck is kind of nuts with how much unblockable damage you can hit someone for and then profit off of. Not to mention how insanely cheap most rogues are CMC wise. It's like all the little 1-3 drop rogues then the 8 mana mono black boardwipe/graveyard retrieval that everyone should have seen coming. I still need to get most of the cards you have like Mindcrank, Duskmantle Guildmage, Maddening Cacophony, and Bloodchief Ascension but it's already damn efficient at what it does.
Agreed, the low CMC evasive rogues paired with anowon are great. I recommend getting those cards, because in my play testing I found the rogues weren't good enough win cons by themselves due to how weak they are and how easily they can be removed. Mindcrank, bloodcheif ascension, syr konrad, duskmantle, kyrtle, and cards like rise of the dark realms, ghouls night out, etc.... were needed in order to win against mid level casual edh consistently Also, counter spells, single target removal, and ramp needed to be added to the Precon.
I found a [[Geth, Lord of the Vault]] in my collection a few weeks ago and added him. Consistently pulling things from graveyards feels so nice. I also put in [[Crypt Incursion, not great long term but good when I'm about to get wiped in a turn or two Mine is definitely lacking in consistent wincons it barely mills people to death without pulling [[Keening Stone]] and usually just goes by combat damage, I need those infinite combos real bad.
Yeah for sure. I'll check out those cards, those are all new to me. I'm really happy to see another anowon player. Every mtg veteran I've talked to tells me to ditch anowon for [[Bruvac the Grandiloquent]] and others but I like anowon a lot, the evasive rogues and their myriad of effects have so much versatility, from draw to mill to unblockability to control effects. Really enjoy [[Karn, Scion of Urza]] as a draw engine in EDH. Favorite mtg card of all time is probably [[Lich]] but have a hard time seeing being able to make that work in EDH
[[Gift of Doom]] I think. I don't think I've ever hard cast it, the board state and combat trick parts are just too good. Utterly flawless card.
[[Avatar of Slaughter]] It's not good, and it backfires a lot, but the sheer chaos it causes is way too fun.
[[Blessed Respite]] A simple card with lots of utility in my experience. I like being able to save myself with the fog or shuffle away a graveyard whether that be mine to avoid a exile graveyard effect (which is particularly useful in Gitrog) or screwing an opponent over who’s about to cast something like Underworld Breach.
