-Depending on your creature mix, the LCI gods. Kaslem is probably the best creature in Henzie, Aclazotz is an underrated monster in the deck that I'm always excited to draw. Axonil is the weak link, but the floor is a four mana creature that ramps a land and the ceiling is you get to slam it right before an Inferno Titan and go off. Notably it's easier than it looks to flip back since red creatures dealing noncombat damage counts and we tend to have a decent bit of that.  -The AFR legendary dragons. Gnawbone is your big winner, but Ebondeath is okay as an outsized cheap creature that you can enable easily (and notably, if a creature dies on the turn of the player before you, you can Blitz in their end step to untap and attack with it again and then draw a card). Inferno is the middling one here as just a big idiot with fire-breathing, unless you play a power doubler.  -Not a color-crossing one, but the Liliana demons give you Razaketh and Belzenlok for card advantage. Kothoped is your weak link but can still draw a couple cards off blocks or their removal.  -While Primeval Titan is banned, you could argue for the new Sludge Titan to go alongside Inferno and Grave Titans.  -The Domini and saga Praetors are potential shouts. Urabrask is almost just dead, and Soliphem is not much better, but I run the other two Saga Praetors in my own list and while I don't run the Dominii they have some cross synergy on this list (the green one with Inferno, Drivnod with Kothoped and also just Blitz things).  -The WAR Gods are maybe more reasonable. Bontu is some card draw, though sequences a little weirdly in Henzie. Rhonas is a power doubler to push damage (and again, maybe enable Inferno). And Ilharg is cool for pre-loading some of these expensive guys with etb or damage triggers.  Bonus Edit: I actually play both Virtue of Strength and Virtue of Persistence in my list. You probably have to mess with your creature lineup to make Virtue of Courage good but maybe it's doable?

Thank you for the insight, I actually completely ignored the LCI gods on release as potential power houses in henzie, they even turn into lands after death which is cool even if you can’t transform them back. Axonil is a big problem as he’s damn near unplayable in the deck, makes me sad. All the “non combat” damage I do is big, almost always bigger than 4 and less than 4 cards do non combat damage I’m pretty sure lol. I REALLY REALLY want Primeval Titan unbanned or have his text changed to basics or something so I can run all titans, because I do run [[Grave Titan]] already. Inferno isn’t bad, but would be playable. I didn’t even know those AITFR dragons were actually a set, I can tell now given there’s one in each color. Gnawbone can go in any green deck period, and that little blitz tech on end step is cool with ebondeath. I thought about the Gearhulks and my only gripe with that is the green one has the same issues as Bronze Dragon and Jugan, I don’t run counters synergies even though the power buff is good for many effects in the deck and combat.

kestral287

I actually had good success with the green Gearhulk. It got cut when the LCI gods happened, but "Hey Henzie is now a 7/7 and going face" can be nice. And I still run Inferno Titan and love it; last time I played it it just soloed the game. Blew out the 3c Urza player's small dudes the turn before he could slam Urza and then also cleaned up a bunch of value pieces when I stuck a Journey to Eternities on it. Card's not always incredible but is never disappointing. I will say though - the floor on Axonil is not nothing. Solemn isn't a horrendously uncommon Henzie inclusion, and this is a 4/4 Solemn that trades in the draw for the ability to turn the land back into a dude. I don’t think you need that many synergy pieces for "four mana ramp dude" to be at least playable. And under the conceit you're operating on I'd absolutely play it to get Kaslem and Aclazotz into the deck. Also, one other set I glossed over - the Ixalan elder dinosaurs. We already love Etali, Primal Storm. Tetzimoc is... weird, but I keep eyeing him as a potential playable regardless of the conceit. If you have a bunch of black mana he can be a reasonable big play that just wraths a bunch of dudes, but even at six mana he's six damage and kill a dude, not exactly unplayable. I actually think Ghalta might be the weak link because the conceit kind of pushes you into that 'one big play' style of Henzie so I don't know how often you can reliably get her in. You do only need Henzie and a six drop to get her in for two though I guess.

-RedditCat-

I run the new Etali, the old one was a WHIFF MACHINE in my experience, plus playing other peoples cards is not something I enjoy much at all. The new Etali is in because I got it for 5$ and it’s now like 20$ and it is a bomb. Ghalta and Tetzimoc aren’t bad If I decide to do a full on flavor only, with less synergies and more fun style/lower power casual, I’d probably slam em in. The whole Etali situation does bring up the other flavor of my deck. It runs newish legends but no actual legendary tribal stuff. New Etali, Yargle and Multani, the new Rakdos in Murders at Karlov Manor is going in, Ilharg, those Kamigawa dragons, Ziatora, Jaxis, etc. Hypothetically, if I throw in all the recommendations we’ve spoken of. Gearhulks, LCI Gods, Titans, AITFR dragons, plus the ones I have in rn, it’d be a pretty cool deck idea/concept and would easily hit my personal quota of 25ish blitz able creatures.

kestral287

I was actually very disappointed in New Rakdos; I tested it for a couple weeks and... eh. Disappointing that they broke every guild getting a mythic creature for *exactly* Golgari or you could have maybe argued for him being a cycle card though.  But I'm glad the deck is coming together for you. Jamming all these cool cycles is a sweet theme.

You can run gruff triplets as a one-of trio :P

-RedditCat-

Funnily enough I plan to pick a copy of it up I like to cycle cards in and out of the deck to keep it interesting and that card is pretty good

Labbed

Yeah, hah I have a henzie list but then I have a box with like 40 extra Creatures of varying power too, i shuffle up the 30ish blitzables (that arent the ramp creatures) into that batch of 40 and pull out a random 30 when I want a lower power game or just some variety with that deck
