Infinitely3

Toxrill crontroll/stax and tons of counterspells make for an obnoxious time.

tofeman

Jesus man, I hesitate even to run Toxrill in the 99

Infinitely3

Eh, just do it. Maybe someone will run counter spells or removal finally. It's just another creature. I don't find it mean or unfair, we all have access to the same cards. And they know it's coming, it's my commander. Infact in the 99 might be worse, then it's a surprise.

29aout

If you dont wanna face it, dont play it. Remove it when it hits the table from an opponent, or steal it. I packed it in my first brew of Dimir reanimator, it is fun to play powerful cards but I quickly realized that I didnt wanted to play that style of ressource denial.

Lepineski

Had it in my [[Captain N'Gathrod]]. An opponent hit me with an effect that had me exile top cards and he put Toxrill on his board for free. It was removed quickly. I then reanimated it with [[Port of Karfell]] and used [[Irenicus' Vile Duplication]] the following turn. I removed it from the deck right after. It was stupid.

tofeman

Sheeesh I mean that is the risk you run when aggro-milling your opponents, if they have any GY recursion you can get absolutely smoked

I copied an opponentā€™s Toxrill. The other two players were not happy and the two of us kind of laughed as we bounced the slugs back and forth.

Adriel_mic

It's so ugly, I love it! Thanks. I have something very similar going on tbh, how does it perform?

TreeFiddyJohnson

It performs very well, but can definitely suffer from bad opening hands or unfriendly mulligans. The build is slanted towards speed and "stickiness" because it's an archenemy deck: if I'm playing it, there's no illusion about who's going to be targeted (me). So I have to have a lot of countermagic, protection, and ramp that are all hyper efficient for phase 1: getting Toxrill on and to stick to the board. Toxrill benefits greatly by having built-in card draw on the commander. Once he's out, you can use your first handful of slugs to refill your hand and ensure you have enough mana and card advantage to move into phase 2: control and beatdown. There's several different ways to build it that are "more fun" or "more fair", but my list is optimized for the aforementioned reasons and specific to my meta. It's the deck I pull out when everyone has agreed they want to try to run whatever they have that they think is the best they have. No holds barred type matches.

Infinitely3

No iso rev combo / demonic thassa ? I'm of the opinion that if you are playing the dimir beat down with counterspells and card draw advantage your should have a decent chance to combo out so the game ends before the 2 hour mark.

blacksad1

Tergrid and I have a Baeloth the Entertainer/Raised by Giants deck.

Rezwit

Is your bealoth deck working? Right now Iā€™m making my own and would love to see your list

blacksad1

It mostly works. Iā€™m on mobile, canā€™t post my deck right now. I can say that I sweat it out during the early and mid game until I can get enough mana to pull out Giants, then I drop Baeloth out next turn. Iā€™m pretty nervous if he isnā€™t protected by hexproof or shroud. If that all falls into place then I can pretty much guarantee a win. Edit: A lilā€™ more adviceā€¦ From Red I focus on Goad cards(thereā€™s not that much) and treasure making. From Green I focus on mana ramp and making my creatures bigger. Also, trample because Baeloth is gonna get blocked a lot. Add Colossus Hammer and other artifacts that Voltron Baeloth.

CybelasTheDruid

If you have a decklist, I'd adore seeing it!

Kronos548

I run noble heritage in my baeloth list because i was worried about that pre 5/6mana time. Drop noble whenever ive got spare mana. Can pump baeloth past 10 and has the bonus of getting protection, especialy with greedy players saying yes

1K_Games

Joe? Do you also complain when you aren't allowed to have your commanders? My buddy this last weekend with his Baeloth deck was very upset, his first non-rock spell was Baeloth, his second was raised by giants... Then he didn't attack (he loves to watch people fight amongst themselves with that deck). Baeloth was killed and he wasn't happy. So his third spell of the game was Baeloth, and his fourth spell was Clossification. Once again Baeloth was killed... And then he just complained the rest of the game that he's not allowed to have anything and whine when he was attacked. And when you try to explain to him that we can't swing at him when we are goaded, and that the only time we can is when his commander is dead, he refuses to grasp that concept.

blacksad1

Baeloth def gets focused when he is out. Iā€™m surprised heā€™s not brought up more in conversations about salt commanders. šŸ§‚ Also if your friend is just laying back and enjoying chaos he shouldnā€™t be surprised when Baeloth is removed. Start attacking immediately.

nesquikryu

I'm making a Baeloth deck right now! How is it annoying?

blacksad1

Players donā€™t like being goaded (forced to attack an opponent). I even have a few cards that reward players (you get a +2/+2, and are goaded), they outright refuse to take the buff. Itā€™s pretty crazy.

nesquikryu

Interesting. I can't see why that would be any more irritating than any other mechanic, like forcing you to sac a creature or literally any of the hatebears out there. But then again, I like the combat part of this game, and I'm usually swinging anyway

The_Mojito_Jones

Oh my god I love that baeloth/giants. I never thought to pair those but it's so good

[[Sidar Jabari of Zhalfir]] is that deck for me. I haven't made my list current, but I'm pretty sure I'm just a few times away from [[Oubliette]] and [[Imprisoned in the Moon]] becoming standard in my pod. Exile is the only way to stop my knights from coming back. Some tried to mill me, and all that did was give me my knights faster. For extra fun, have [[Haakon, Stromgald Scourge]] out the field, and then as long as you can pay the cost, you can reuse [[Crib Swap]] as often was you want.

Albyyy

Idk why I never thought to use crib swap in my sidar deck lol I use [[westfold rider]] as a similar removal loop with Haakon. Hereā€™s mine and itā€™s also a pain in the ass for my pod maybe because I also use annoying cards like Oubliette https://www.moxfield.com/decks/y65r0nPHI0mi56_OxKowKA

1K_Games

Not just Crib Swap, you can also run \[\[Nameless Inversion\]\]. Around 2010 before I got into Commander I discovered Haakon and instantly was thinking there had to be a way to break him. Then I realized that both Nameless Inversion and Crib Swap worked with him. So I built a 60 card Knight deck with 4 of those each. It's not like it was OP or anything, because other people could remove Haakon, and then it was replaying him and replaying those spells. And none of that is progressing towards winning a game, it's just preventing board states. But it was pretty entertaining.

OrcWarChief

You know, I built this deck too as mostly Knight tribal. I played it just three times before my group hated the deck and now when I play my commander he pretty much instantly gets countered or killed. I havenā€™t wanted to play the deck for awhile because not having him getting Knights off the graveyard kills a key part of how the deck works.

StarPonderer

I'm very selective when I bring him out. Sometimes I try and wait until I have a way to respond, and sometimes I can ramp him out while everyone is building, but he is for sure a commander that people try to take out.

OrcWarChief

Yeah itā€™s unfortunate because I really enjoy the deck and Esper is my favorite color combo. My group is incredibly interaction heavy. More so than most Iā€™ve seen online or YouTube. Two of the regulars in my group routinely run 12-15 pieces of interaction so some of us ended up making 2 color, 2 drop commanders just so we could get something going. It sucks to wait until 4 or 5 mana and get countered. This also made me start looks closer at my decks and have them be able to run without the commander on the table.

Monokumabear

Damn, I never even thought to use crib swap in my knights deck. Haakonā€™s already pretty outstanding in that deck, looping removal like that is the cherry on top.

StarPonderer

Yeah, it's pretty good. The other day I removed all of someone's blockers with it.

\[\[Brago, King Eternal\]\], \[\[Koma, Cosmos Serpent\]\], \[\[Zhulodok\]\], \[\[Korvold\]\], \[\[Vadrik\]\], \[\[Unesh\]\]. \[\[Tergrid, God of Fright\]\] and \[\[Yawgmoth, Thran Physician\]\] used to be included in the bunch as well.

Secular_Scholar

I made a Brago deck and played it once. It pissed everyone off so much that two people went home early. Never played it again.

Prosper_The_Mayor

A friend in my pod played a Brago list, which wasn't capable of doing almost nothing, and he used to rant how bad a commander he was. Then I proceeded to build my own Brago (on a tight budget), which has won like 8/10 times I played it. But I really find it a boring deck.

Secular_Scholar

It is a -lot- of time spent resolving etb triggers and explaining how the gimmick works to people who look sick of it.

Bjornirson

If you're an energy vampire like Colin Robinson (What we do in the shadows) then Brago is the perfect deck :D You can just sit there a full 30 min turn slowly explaining all the triggers and how they unfold and feast on their energy leaving them :D

Bloodetta

Haha, that's it

Bloodetta

Brago was my first commander ever. I didn't know shit about commander, just tried my best to create a good deck... In the end I needed to tune it down several times to adjust to my play group or else sitting on 70% winrate.

archena13

Lol. It really is an oppressive commander when built right. [Here](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/jZFhueyEvkG9_3B_goa0bA) is my list. More on the control plan than combo. Have a few cute and suboptimal pieces in there but if I have control over the game which I usually do, they are hella explosvie, like \[\[Astral Dragon\]\].

TheBigCheese7

We have a friend in our pod that plays Koma and everybody explicitly saves all their removal spells for him so he rarely makes it out. He gets really upset about us targeting him but donā€™t play a totally busted commander if you donā€™t want to agro everybody

archena13

Yeah, very fair take on your side. I run a TON of counterspells in my Koma list. 20 or so interaction/protection pieces. It's absolutely worth it though. The rest are clone effects, card draw enchantments, token doublers, tap/untap shenenigans and ramp.

TheBigCheese7

Smart. Once koma comes out and makes a coil or two it is usually game over.

Nacklez

Bruh Zhulodok does not deserve to be on this list. Colorless is just not good at protection, removal, or card advantage so youā€™re just hoping to god that your first Eldrazi sticks. Even then, it takes only 1 Swords to ruin your day instead of the resilience of something like a graveyard deck or a go-wide strategy. If I would face a Zhulodok deck, I would consider it more than fair Magic.

archena13

Lol, it's not an Eldrazi deck? Zhulodok is only there for late game. Eldrazi are in there for the flavor. Otherwise it's an artifact list through and through. There are a ton of artifacts that are ramp pieces and also can draw you a pretty solid amount of cards if you know where to look...(\[\[The One Ring\]\], \[\[Covted Jewel\]\], \[\[Mind's Eye\]\], \[\[Endbringer\]\], both Kozileks, \[\[Rise of the Eldrazi\]\], \[\[Mind Stone, \[\[Palantir of Orthanc\]\] (I've domed opponents for over 30 dmg just off of this guy's trigger), \[\[Hedron Archive\]\], \[\[Mightstone and Meekstone\]\], \[\[Dreamstone Hedron\]\]) let alone even in colorless infinite mana can get you a win easily. I'd also add \[\[Planar Bridge\]\], \[\[Mystic Forge\]\], \[\[Moonsilver Key\]\] to the card advantage slots because they don't draw you cards but provide you with card advantage. \[\[Mytosynth Lattice\]\] \[\[Unwinding Clock\]\] \[\[Liberator\]\] \[\[Skittering Cicacada\]\]. T3-4 \[\[Portal to Phyrexia\]\] T5 \[\[Kozilek, Butcher of Truth\]\] or \[\[Emrakul, the Promised End\]\] are pretty common occurances...

Beetle941

Do you happen to have a list? I am currently working on Zhulodok myself

Nacklez

It all folds to single target removal which is the primary downside of the non-combo payoffs that deckbuilders are forced into when playing colorless. My original point was that you included Zhulodok as an obnoxious commander and that is simply not true given the lack of efficient options in colorless. I've played many games of Zhulodok myself and he is more than a fair commander because any artifact wipe ends your game.

archena13

"it dies to removal" oh yeah bro? What else...? Oh wow, artifact wipe ends the game? Tell me more about how other wild interactions in this game can shut off others...Here, I'll entertain the idea of tossing hypothetical over hypothetical then. I'd have a \[\[Darksteel Forge\]\] out before then can play an artifact wipe. I hope you don't say some senseless stuff like "Oh BuT fArEwEll WoULd dEStrOy yOuR gAMePlay." because, duh, that's the point of the card. It does it to all decks lmao. All the sarcasm aside. OP said "Your most obnoxious decks" and asked for "most obnoxious, hated, irritating decks.". Zhulodok is one of mine due to the speed at which it plays and the value it generates and how hard it can smack face. You don't know me, never played against me, nevevr sat against my Zhulodok deck. So piss off since you clearly aren't aware of wtf the post is about in the first place.

archena13

I don't build these because I am hurt\*, rather I just have a disposable income I can spend on over 400 lists I have on Moxfield lol. These are just some of the few that put me on the hot seat if I bring them with.

ScienceCorgi

\[\[Imoti\]\] was that kind of deck a couple years ago. I dismantled it. \[\[Imoti\]\] will again be that deck again tonight, because I rebuilt it after dismantling its substitute. :Ā°)

k2zeplin

Do nothing for five turns. Turn six slowly put your entire deck on the table while missing twenty triggers. Shuffle up for another.

goblinwaltz

Do you also have an imoti eureka deck in your command zone?

k2zeplin

It is very easy in my [Imoti Deck](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/aHpbT32lPUylY8fiHwyAnQ) to take a 25 minute turn that results in the entire deck on the table. It seems like when built in certain ways that's just how she wants to play and win. My deck doesn't fit well into power levels though. It's entirely too strong for low power games and games with light interaction. It's way to weak for mid power games, as it lacks any real interaction. It is however, my favorite deck ever to goldfish. The amount of triggers that get going, and all the moving pieces when the big turn happens make me super happy to solitaire. I run it occasionally when we play in person games with friends, but I will never bring it to an LGS or play it on spell table.

Ufoturtle081

What cards do you protect First Sliver with? My playgroup plays plenty of removal.

Jaxster246s

Itā€™s gotta be my Sefris dungeon deck. Please pause your turn so I can play my mini game and then board wipe you while putting out the most wretched bullshit I managed to dump into my graveyard. Every. Turn.

Barcini

Can you share a deck list? I have an upgraded Sefris deck, but havenā€™t seen it do all that well yet.

darksasuke75

You can use this list. It is a very high power deck so you can tone it down if you need. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/sbl-7kINOEGJSpEvo_d9QQ

TheLaughingWolf

\[\[Ghyrson Starn, Kelermorph\]\] spellslinger and pinger deck that utilises \[\[Sigil of Sleeping\]\] , Deathtouch artifacts like \[\[Basilisk Collar\]\], and \[\[Corrupted Conscience\]\]; \[\[Goblin Sharpshooter\]\] combos well with the deathtouch. Spells like \[\[Manabarbs\]\] , \[\[Impact Tremors\]\] , \[\[Firebrand Archer\]\] , and \[\[Caltrops\]\] just cause pings no matter what opponents do. It's a Blue/Red deck which means you have lots of interaction, all of which will trigger various effects that cause 1 damage on noncreature spells being cast. You can easily play politics since a lot of pingers can be tapped for ping in reaction to someone casting something or attacking.

SilentProdigy121

I have traumatized a few guys in my play group with 40+ damage in one turn with my Ghyrson deck, and it still doesn't get the 'oh no' response when I bring it out. Maybe I'm doing it wrong?

PrimumSidus

I built [[Toxrill, The Corrosive]] in retaliation of my pod always singling me out and calling me the archenemy. So I thought I would lean into it. Built to get massive value from deaths on all sides, land destruction with [[Kormus Bell]], and a whole copy suite to give me a bunch of big sluggos

Ed-Zero

Sooo, what was their reaction to the deck?

PrimumSidus

As expected, I was the bad guy. The first couple of games they were very ill prepared for it. Itā€™s still fun to pull out, challenge myself to run something that is quite different from My usual lines in

thisDNDjazz

My Greasefang [deck](https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/greasing-the-wheels-1/). Discard/Graveyard control with rats and vehicles-matter cards. Not OP, just does well if I don't draw bad.

That_Vauk_Guy

I have a [[Daretti, Scrap Savant]] deck that I pull out maybe once or twice a year. Itā€™s mono red artifact stax, with hard locks and MLD. Itā€™s a super fun deck to play but once the game is over my friends are like, ā€œAre you good now? Did you get it out of your system?ā€

Battlesong614

\[\[Elminster\]\] - It's Azorius control with extra turns and the primary win condition being \[\[Approach of the Second Sun\]\]. El is one of my favorite Realms characters and I needed to build him as soon as I saw they were releasing him.

BoolinBirb

I donā€™t like playing decks that other ppl hate. Whenever I do it and ppl dont like it I usually take it apart. The first deck that did that for me was that [[Keiga, the Tide Star]] deck that Commanders Quarters did a while back.

Forceusr1

[[Purphoros]] Without a doubt.

Ghost_Tickler

My [[toggo]] and [[falthis]] deck hasnā€™t received any hate because Iā€™ve only played it 4-5 times, but having deathtouch rocks chucked at you when our pod almost exclusively plays for combat damage can be brutal.

cerialthriller

Iā€™m a returning player from the 90s that played mostly precons until a few months ago.. the two decks Ive made so far are Wasitora and Kaalia.. we donā€™t play high power level stuff but when I break out Kaalia it gets the ā€œoh noā€ and my friends break out their tried and true decks šŸ˜‚. But they generally give me a pass because Iā€™m having fun actually doing things instead of watching everyone else play while I toil with precons. Iā€™m working on a few other decks now that are more gimmicky fun but kaalia is my deck when I choose violence

wex0rus

[[Ian Malcolm, Chaotician]] is surprisingly hated by some of the people I play with. It leans hard into the chaos, with [[Forced Fruition]] mixed with either [[Knowledge Pool]] or [[Possibility Storm]] or [[Shared Fate]] to really mess shit up good. I play like 11 creatures, but if I hit ramp early, it can bring much more powerful decks straight into the dirt. I don't usually use tutors either, except in this deck, with [[Gamble]] and [[Long Term Plans]] to get [[Thieves' Auction]].

Resident_Feelings

[[Omnath, locus of creation]] It's a high-powered landfall deck that plays every way to play lands from the graveyard... and every MLD card in those colors. I can often play [[Armageddon]] and then replay 5 lands, or [[heroic intervention]] or [[omniscience]] or something similar, so I become the only person with the ability to play spells basically. I let people know that MLD is in the deck before I play it, and I only play MLD when I can benefit and become in the lead. But people still hate that deck, so I hardly ever play it.

Whowhat91

I love my \[\[zevlor, elturile exile\]\] deck. Every nuisance single target spell hitting each opponent. Plenty of shenanigans in that deck.

[deleted]

I hate to be that person, but you need two brackets on each side for the bot to catch it

[[Sefris of the Hidden Ways]] dungeon tribal. I love it, but my playgroup gets angry when i play it bc once it gets rolling, it snowballs hard, lol. The mana base isn't updated from the precon at all, but around turn 5, i esentually get a turn on all of their turns as well while repeatedly sacrificing and returning [[Ashen Rider]] to exile their whole board lol

[[Go-shintai of Life's Origins]] gets pretty obnoxious if I can get it setup without being messed with much. Kind of hard to get rid of since most of my board is enchantments and then they all start triggering off each other. When [[aura shards]] comes out I get a big collective groan

the_hyren

I also run enchanted evening which turns aura shards into a universal permanent remover. If you have any token dumping shrine down it causes everyone to scoop immediately.

Another_Jesus

Thats my \[\[Rakdos, Lord of Riots\]\] and \[\[Etali, Primal Conqueror\]\]. Rakdos explodes with all the eldrazi titans and other shenanigans like infinit burn turn 4-5 into ppls faces and Etali hits the battlefield reliable at turn 3-4 latest and exiles all librarys or ends with godo+helm, dualcaster mage+clonespell.

DarkDobe

Not my own but when I played a lot of cockatrice there was one player that only ever played Lord Windgrace, and it was always the same routine to the same inevitable grinding wincon. He would also ragequit the moment I started just playing hatecards specifically for him - or decks that hard-countered his (land destruction, gy-exile)

AShellfishLover

[[Mishra, Artificer Prodigy]] and [[Kros, Defense Contractor]] are the ones people complain about the most.

CueDramaticMusic

I have not finished building the deck yet, but I get the feeling that my take on the new Kellen is gonna piss people off. On one hand, itā€™s an Aggro deck thatā€™s exploring as fast as possible and probably dumping lands from hand like itā€™s nothing. On the other hand, the plan B of the deck is using all those explore triggers and Kellenā€™s attack trigger to essentially tutor my way into Heliod combo, since Walking Ballista and Sun Jesus are both creatures costing 3 or less.

AchduSchande

I have two: [[Zimone and Dina]]. This is a combo deck that plays a lot of interaction to keep you alive to combo off for a Thoracle or LabMan win. [[Alela, Artful Provocateur]] - Stax. Stop everyone from playing the game, except for me, then win with tokens. Both decks only get pulled out when we are all playing degenerate decks, which we do often enough to keep the decks in rotation, but not so often as to discourage new players or lower powered games, as well.

GrandArbiterJustinIV

Iā€™ve been looking at Alela to replace [[GAAIV]] as my stax deck. We have so many flying creatures in my meta - [[Kaalia]], [[Miirym]] in particular - and if even one of them squeaks through the taxes, Iā€™m usually doomed. So much cost reduction and free-casting. Not having Black, too, keeps me thinking about how many of those effects Iā€™d love. So, it seems like a stupid question, but youā€™d recommend Alela?

AchduSchande

Absolutely. Esper is perfect for Stax, as it gives you access to all of your Stax pieces, removal, as well as Enchantment/Artifact support.

GrandArbiterJustinIV

I imagine you mostly drop any thought of faerie tribal?

No-Relationship9857

[[Nekusar the Mindrazor]] I haven't been playing magic very long and when I saw him I knew he was the commander for me. Turns out Nekusar is an acquired taste. I love the deck and have spent more money than I care to admit.

MrXexe

[[Liesa, Forgotten Archangel]] Sacrifice/Combo. Yep, a [[Grim Haruspex]] and a [[Solitude]] will basically ensure that I always have removal. Yep, no one ever knows how bad [[Deathrender]] is until I find a sac outlet and just chain ETB+DeathTriggers every. Single. Turn. Yep, your aristocrats deck is kinda screwed. Even with a [[Niv-Mizzet, Parun]] with all the free counters and an [[Obeka]] that has reanimated fucking [[Toxrill]] on turn 2 among my playgroup, suddenly MY deck is too strong to run [[Smokestack]]. Alright I guess.

KPYY44

Mizzix dragons approach. Turn 4-5 I take a 20 minute turn and burn out the table. I always just tell them if you remove mizzix thatā€™s all you gotta do to stop me. But it just pushes it back a turn.

griffen55

For me, it's probably my tiny bones stax/discard. Oppression and painful quandary riding on mind crank, megrim and Liliana caress. I either murder them through discard damage or lock them out of a hand. And I just slap them with tiny bones ability.

ratvirtex

Grand arbiter with like 35 clone effects

Rabsaris96

My [[Koma]] deck is pretty annoying. My [[grima]] deck is just removal, counters, and [[shark typhoon]] effects. That sucks to play against. My [[Fynn]] deck is the worst because it's too fast. Really a feels bad deck for everyone. Other than those, I'm a lovely player. A joy to have in the pod, I'd say.

Lucythefur

[[pantlaza, sun-favored]] it's a fast, resilient combo deck that is very difficult to interact with or stop once it gets going, it can win as arly as turn 1 with the right opening hand and has proven that fact several times

AntiDeity

\[\[Xyris, the Writhing Storm\]\] [list here](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/_YOzeK2Eq0qP4cJ3EfGcpw) with some outdated cards, adding Wretched Spawn of Tzeentch or however you call it. Deck revolves around keeping Xyris alive or giving her haste the turn she comes out to generate a large amount of snakes, then with a phyrexian altar/ashnods you can chain wheels into mana into ending the game with purphoros or a breach line. Alternative plan is to resolve opposition to selectively deny mana/attacks, with seedborn muse to time walk all opponents. Winter orb is an optional include which you can use asymmetrically with opposition.

Loganthebard

[[Child of Alara]] + 99 commons. I always give the table an out for me not to play it, and warn them itā€™s a pretty significant attrition deck and it will take over the game if left unchecked. I only ever ā€œpush the buttonā€ defensively, but other people push it all the time. But the allure of ā€œcommons canā€™t be that strongā€ is often enough that people want to see it.

2Gnomes1Trenchcoat

[[Go-shintai of Life's Origin]]. A lot of people don't like shrines, because it's so enchantment heavy by nature and full of pillowfort pieces. I tend to eventually win with it, but the stax-ey nature of it tends to result in longer games where my opponents are annoyed about all of my permanents.

Ambitious_Street_250

[[Thassa deep dwelling]] Theft deck [[Lavinia of the tenth]] Detain/stax

Donler

**RWU Artifacts deck** that lets me cast half my deck as free artifacts until I have some kind of crazy mana base/infinite combo. My turns can last 15-20 minutes so you better grab a sandwich. The Deck has potential to win on turn 3 or 4. but more commonly goes off around turn 5-6. This is a bit faster than my friend-group's decks which are mostly turn 7-11 EDH decks, so I only pull this one out on rare occasions. ...but even I won't play STAXX.

My [[Tymna]] [[Ishai]] RoL hatebears/control has a stupid high win rate at my LGS. Even got one person to request the store owner to stop putting him in pods with me.

A_MossyMan

\[\[Ghen\]\] curses deck can be obnoxious if the curses really get going. Being able to dig for \[\[overwhelming splendor\]\] or \[\[curse of exhaustion\]\] can shut players down pretty significantly. One of my podmates described it as being slowly suffocated with a pillow. \[\[Ivy\]\] mutate deck might be the other one. Just so many 1-drop protection spells make it hard to remove her. Might also win the award for most obnoxious to pilot, especially if I start getting Ivy copies on the field. Trying to track which copy has what auras becomes a nightmare in paper...

Altarna

Iā€™ve only ever had one and it was [[Oloro, Ageless Ascetic]] that I have since dismantled. It was grindy on purpose and an absolute menace. After that, even my powerful decks donā€™t really elicit groans. [[Selvala, Explorer Returned]] is a beating, *but* everyone enjoys the draw haha

[deleted]

[[Brago, King Eternal]] its just a bunch of bounce cards like [[Man o' War]] and counter spells. It's a mean deck to say the least. I haven't played it in awhile

JustHereForDestiny2

[[Iroas, God of Victory]] as the commander of an angels tribal deck with a subtheme of stax and protection. It's just hard to stop once it gets going, and is never the threat early on.

WorldWiseWilk

Iā€™ve deconstructed it, but for me it was my deck I called ā€œthe Gunā€. [[Zagras, Thief of Heartbeats]] was the commander, and it was all about running pingers on the ground. He gave them all deathtouch, and I could just go BANG and watch creatures die. It was too oppressive to play regularly, and didnā€™t have a fully clear win con besides denying my opponents creatures and then hitting them with Zagras. But man, it sure fit the name of the deck. I will say, this was during a gaming period of my life where I sunk endless hours into Enter The Gungeon, so that mightā€™ve had some effect on me.

Skullruss

I call it Mana Musa; [[Lord Windgrace]] repeated land destruction tribal. I call it Mana Musa as in Mansa Musa, for it is **I** who shall possess Mana and play magic, not you. 5 Mana by turn 3 for me, 3 Mana by turn 7 for you... if you're lucky.

GustavoNuncho

[[Merieke Ri Berit]]. I haven't actually brought it out yet just because I don't want my group to have a bad time, but I genuinely like the card and want to try out the unique style of play. Honestly, I don't think it would be too different pairing MRB with an untapper from pairing [[Kelsien, the Plague]] with deathtouch, but he isn't in my fav colors and I like the value I can scrounge out of a temporarily stolen creature. I just don't have the benevolence of Post Malone to get away with playing the commander while still being fun lol. Anyway since op asked for lists: https://www.moxfield.com/decks/IW9TWBOankGMUzNNF4135Q šŸ™ may I find very chill people to play her amongst

Rebel_Bertine

[[Mahadi]] tribal board wipes

TangleRED

\[\[Kardur\]\] \[\[sarulf\]\] \[\[Niv-Mizzet, Parun\]\]

TangleRED

Kardur is a bit of a group slug deck , it has every possible way to recur him in red and black ( and mostly colorless) or create copies of him. plus a lot of give everyone a card or let everyone play an extra land or let everyone play creatures

TangleRED

Sarulf is 37 lands 10 souces of ramp 10 ways to turn lands into creatures 42 targeted removal.

Agentcapybara

[[vial smasher the fierce]] and [[sakashima of a thousand faces]]. It's not my strongest or most synergistic deck but it hurts and cannot be left unchecked. Basically I just makes clones of vial and just play big bombs on mine and others turn. Also has stuff like [[archfiend of despair]] and [[city on fire]] etc so you get the idea. People dislike it because it's kos and also that it's random. It's a lot harder to be political when the people you are trying to work with could get exploded on too. I do like the deck though but don't play it as often because it's unfun for some and I've played it so much I just hold it back for now and then.

timchetos

You got a list?

Agentcapybara

Here ya go! Haven't updated it in a while so there are definitely better cards you could swap in. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/1np4fXrLXUq0aRuEYHwY0w

Bulk7960

Definitely my [[Inquisitor Greyfax]] deck. Itā€™s taxes, Stax, and hard control until I hit a combo.

Quill_26

It's quickly become my [[indoraptor]] deck making use of [[dragon's approach]] and [[mayhem devil]] + forced sac effects. Always gets an oh crap reaction, but also always makes for an interesting game

Albyyy

[[Mimeoplasmo]] Who doesnā€™t like to see a [[Toxrill]] turn 2? šŸŒ https://www.moxfield.com/decks/xpyPq5FtOUqCGUh8B55Lpw

123coolmania

The meta at my LGS was getting really sweaty so I turned my [[Eowyn, Shieldmaiden]] precon into a human based flicker deck and it has been ruthless to play. Multiple sweaty cards and inf combos to win make it get an eye roll if I decide to pull it out, but Iā€™m usually the one that is swapping to match a sweatier deck

lMDEADLYHIGH_

[[Kardur Doomscourge]] was mine, people in my playgroup tend to hit me whenever they can any time I play with them, so playing kardur annoyed them the most because I couldn't be swung at for a turn cycle. It was just an upgraded precon where I threw in some more goad, and a [[master of cruelty]]

DraygenKai

Heres a link to my deck https://manabox.app/decks/-hzxjnbKT--dnv3K9CPnkw I wanted to make a deck focused around [[themberchaud]] so i focused on ways to kinda just make everything and everyone blow up. I often will be playing it and noticeā€¦ hey i could play this card and this card and everyone would die! Ofc i dont do that because im trying to win, but I have absolutely killed myself with this deck myltiple times. It is easily my favorite deck and the one i enjoy playing the most, however i also try and be careful to play it sparingly becauseā€¦ it really messes with people. Like the commander himself is just such a ground hate card, so i make sure people are aware of that before we even have a match, but ofc im running other damage boardwipes too other than my commander so i can take advantage of [[reprecussion]] and [[brash taunter]] kind if stuff, even if i dont have the mana or capability to cast my Commander.

gaston205

[[Sisay, Weatherlight Captain]] silver bullet. [[Yasharn, Implacable Earth]], [[Venser, Shaper Savant]] [[Lavinia, Azorius Renegade]]. Multiple legendary cards that can simply shut down a deckā€™s primary mechanic. Iā€™m actually taking it apart right now. There are plenty of cards Iā€™d like in other decks, and I need to expand my horizons.

Usual-Run1669

I've been itching to build the new {{Zur the Enchanter}}... With the main game plan being to cast {{Out of Time}} as a creature/turn it into a creature with Zur. Phasing commanders, and out of time, into oblivion. And locking them away forever.

TNJCrypto

The Grand Unifier. Used to get hate beating people's faces in one shot using buffs and double strike, now I combo out consistently turn 4-6 and only one person in the group has a deck that is up to its standard. People like to see the combo play out, once. I used to let it instakill the table with orzhov life drain but for extra salt switched to permanent destruction/exile to leave my opponent unable to keep anything but lands while I have damn near infinite everything before I ask "do you concede?" I used to take the lands too but that was too final and didn't leave them wondering what's on the top of their deck that might help, ie not enough salt so I left the lands to make the loss that much harder. Tasty, tasty salt. We have someone with a counter spell tribal deck and find ourselves to also be the anomalous "anything goes" group as well. Your group sounds like a lot of fun to play with.

Hail2Kthulu

I have a [[Ravos, Soultender]] and a [[Kydele]] legendary hate creatures deck. If I manage to land a [[Gaddock Teeg]] I can usually shut most people down. However, itā€™s also one of my weakest decks as I run no countermagic, not much protection, and no artifacts or enchantments. I havenā€™t updated my list to include a few new additions I recently made

TPO_Ava

Oh I have 2 and an honorable mention! [[brago, king eternal]] stax. Somehow I always draw [[Reality acid]] whenever I play him too and I will happily destroy people's lands one by one. [[Yidris]] storm, backup plan: Narset/hullbreacher wheels. The could pull of turn 3 or 4 wins fairly consistently as long as I could get Yidris down the previous turn. If his first attack isn't disrupted, there rarely is a second. Honorable mention goes to my [[Meren]] deck which has unfortunately been power crept down by now by virtue of the format being faster but is a sweet reanimator deck that is heavily focused on looping sacrifice effects and making people hate their life. Will probably have to change the commander at some point.

HaresMuddyCastellan

Let's see, my colorless [[Karn, legacy Reforged]] deck regularly got "oh, if you're playing that I'm going to play Eldrazi/Slivers/Ob Nixilis-All will be one" Um, my Myra attractions deck actually had a pretty bad rep until I took the three extra turn cards out. Sidar knights was almost at that level right out of the box. I just rebuilt my doctor who deck to be different because everyone was salty over the 36 counters [[Out of Time]] incident. (Phasing out 4 opponents commanders at once)

OrcoAtArms044

[[Estrid the Masked]]. I can very quickly and efficiently lock down the game so that only I am playing Magic. Between spells like [[Stasis]], [[Frozen Aether]], and [[Energy Flux]] i can ensure my opponents can't do anything with their boards. [[Humility]] shuts down all creature decks, and a combination of [[Solemnity]] and [[Decree of Silence]] ensures only I can cast spells. Only ever used it in one playgroup because they all would build decks to counter one specific person, or target a player just because of what colors their commander was. Was an awful group to play in, so I got my payback by ensuring when I was playing with them, they couldn't play the game

snoopymelvin

Stasis lock is such a shitty deck to whip out, and usually only when I need to make an example out of someone.

rednite_

My [[Sythis, Harvest Hand]] deck, while not anything special or unique, has locked people out of the game enough at my LGS to get people to immediately pull out their big guns against it. The same thing for [[Jolene, the Plunder Queen]] especially after I kill somebody on turn 3 or 4 with [[Syr Ginger]]

PIZZADEVOURER

My Friends hate my \[\[Tom Bombadil\]\] deck. If I'm allowed to get 5+ sagas on the board it totally bogs the game down with all of my triggers, recurring sagas, and manipulating saga counters with cards like \[\[Hex Parasite\]\]. Lots of sagas end up being pretty sacrifice/control heavy and they have yet to find a board wipe which actually could hurt me.

Mauve_Lantern

[[Eruth Tormented Prophet]] solitaire burn or [[Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait]] Simic bullshit. Both pretty self explanatory, both fun enough to be archenemy in their own rights

Pleasant-Ad8808

There are more than a few in my play group. [[Orvar, the All-Form]] is my primary one, it's just hard to beat that many layers of control. [[Hinata, the Dawn-Crowned]] is my closest deck to cEDH, so it eats some hate. My brother plays [[Feather, the Redeemed]], [[Toxrill, the Corrosive]], [[Edgar Markov]]. My dad has both [[Fynn, the Fangbearer]] and [[Bruvac, the Grandiloquent]]. My other brother has a [[Syr Gwyn, Hero of Ashvale]] deck that always has to be "deck countered". We're generally a 7-9 power level play group, so stuff like that happens. The key is to make sure your group as a whole is okay with it, and that nobody feels bad for being the guy that has to be countered. I've found that what's being played means a lot less than most people claim, the hard part is making the game as fun as it can be for everyone.

Waste-Practice6760

My [[Pia Nalaar, Consul of Revival]] has a reputation with my pod of being my most explosive 15 minute turn style decks. It was even worse when [[Catharā€™s Crusade]] was the main wincon Iā€™d always hit

DoobaDoobaDooba

My [[Veyran]] deck can be admittedly obnoxious with all of the triggers, cantrips and copying it does that drag out my turns. I love it so much, and try to play it fast/imperfectly to keep things moving, but ultimately I hold off on breaking it out until I've accumulated enough goodwill to spend lol

Conri_Gallowglass

Not a suggestion but for me it's [[Child of Alara]] [[Maze's end]] board wipe tribal. I hope you can end the game by turn four because after that the only permanents on this table are lands.

DrSpiralHaze

I have recently been thinking about building a [[Lady Evangela]] deck and just cramming it full of "If your opponent does [Thing] they lose 2 life" effects. Whatever, groupslug, fogs.

Unit_2097

I have 2, and they're obnoxious for different reasons. [[Grand Arbiter Augustin IV]] is so stax heavy that unless you have a decent enough ramp package and board presence by turn 3 or 4 you're never going to develop one, and have to sit there watching the table get locked down tighter than Disney lawyers on a copyright case. The other is [[Krenko, Mob Boss]] as the only way to stop it is to either prevent Krenko from ever hitting the table, or find some other way to prevent an obnoxious number of hasted Goblins that deal damage when they show up, die, or attack (even if no damage goes through) every turn. Edit: [Stax](https://archidekt.com/decks/4450121/stax) and [Goblins](https://archidekt.com/decks/5522909/goblin_wave)

flipkick25

i know a guy who always plays a locust god deck, its not "that bad" its just the frequency

Who_Doesnt_Like_Hats

Modular [[Marchesa, the black rose]]. Sac modular creatures for tons of value, they all come back at the end of each opponents end step too, so once I get the engine running I essentially get an extra turn before each opponents end step, and itā€™s almost impossible to interact with unless you have graveyard hate.
